Room was beautiful and very spacious. The bath and shower had a plentiful supply of hot water and toiletries were provided. Variety of hit drinks available in the room by way of a coffee machine or kettle. The room was at the end of a block, lovely and quiet, bed very comfortable and a lovely outdoor space had we of needed it by way of a fenced garden area ; unfortunately weather too wet to take advantage. We enjoyed dinner in the bar area in the evening, staff very helpful and although it wasn’t listed they did have a non alcoholic wine, which is my preferred drink, available by the glass. The butternut ravioli was delicious. Great variety at breakfast and I enjoyed fruit & yogurt followed by the plant based cooked breakfast which was served hot.
Heating control in the room seemed erratic. We tried to turn up the temperature but the unit continued to throw out cold air. When we asked the staff about it they said it would reach the temperature we had requested but it didn’t. There were no other radiators in the room. Having said that th3 bathroom was warm as there was an effective heated towel rail.

Good breakfast and the dinner menu was lovely. Big comfortable bed and a great big walk in shower.
It is right by a noisy main rd so make sure you get a room as far back from road as possible if you like to open your windows.

The room was well finished. Car park had plenty of space, even though the hotel was full. Reception team very friendly and helpful. Peaceful and quiet location, comfy bed.
We had a few problems and to be fair to the team, they tried their hardest to help, I was also offered a 22% discount. Issues we experienced, the room was located in a block just outside the hotel itself, the hallway and room had not been heated and were cold enough for it to be uncomfortable, not really the best first impression after a long drive. The hot water had failed and although a plumber was called, it wasn’t fixed in time to allow one of us to prepare for an evening appointment, we were offered use of a single room to shower in a different part of the hotel, which required repacking my wife’s bags back up, crossing over in the rain, repacking and coming back over. I waited for the plumber. Although we went on to have a lovely evening elsewhere it left us feeling disappointed. Bear in mind this is not a cheap hotel compared to others and it’s winter. It would be reasonable to expect that someone would at least check that there is heating and hot water? One small point to note for rainy days, the hotel staff kindly supply umbrellas in the foyer of the room block, but there’s only 2 for 4 rooms. When we needed one there weren’t any, a recommendation would be to place 2 on each floor? Our final disappointment was the breakfast, based on our experience and those at the table next to us, the vegetarian breakfast is to be avoided. Again the reputation of the restaurant would suggest a much better dining experience.

Beautiful hotel, with lovely rooms (great attention to detail, e.g. biscuits, coffee machine with all sorts of options) and a very nice bar and restaurant. Food was delicious, and place looked very festive when we were there. Would definitely come back, and wish we’d stayed longer

Beautiful period property
The only thing that let it down was the bed. It was as hard as a board, woke up in night, extremely uncomfortable.

The staff were friendly and professional. The food was delicious. We had dinner on both nights.
The rooms needed some basic decorating. There were scuff marks on the walls that could easily be made good.

Lovely building in v good location
Poor breakfast - quantities on mean side and sausage undercooked. . Hard to book space to eat in bar after 8 pm even though there were free spaces. Food v average and perhaps overpriced like the wine list.

The hotel was decorated and maintained to a high standard, the room was spacious.
We would have preferred to have a mini fridge available. And the heating was a little on the generous side.

A decent hotel well located for Bath and the Cotswolds. Excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms with good pillows. Room 35 was quiet as requested. Friendly staff.

Room and breakfast were good. Staff friendly and helpful although one was quite dismissive as we accidentally walked near to a wedding ceremony that was taking place behind closed doors. Christmas decorations are beautiful. A great location near Westonbirt.
A little expensive.

Lovely hotel enjoyed the stay
The lady who checked me in was fantastic but on checkout it was 2 different ladies abit rude just kept talking to each other never even asked how was my stay. I asked for a invoice still carried on talking and they never said a word to me just handed the invoice and carried on talking rude . They let down the otherwise good service. Bad for a reception

It was a lovely hotel, very well decorated for Christmas and it was a great experience. It's rustic, traditional and just what I was looking for in this area. Breakfast is amazing! Enough parking.
It's obviously an old hotel, so some things are not possible to fix, like the single panel windows which made the room a bit colder than I'd like, but it did warm up overnight quite well.

Great location, lovely staff, great service. Enjoyed two very good meals, ideally situated for exploring Westonbirt
Older room with a large radiator stuck on full heat, windows only open a crack and stiflingly hot in the bedroom. Poor sleep as a consequence. Reported to reception several times over the weekend but maintenance unable to help. Would advise requesting a newer room if booking a return trip

Service was excellent . Exceptional breakfast.
The corridor was a bit worn, narrow and quite a long walk to our room but I guess its due to the nature of buidling.

Bedside tables should have glass on like the coffee table then they would not have heat marks on them.

Very nice room, spacious and cosy. First class restaurant with great food and very professional staff. Excellent location for visiting Cotswold attractions.
Whilst London Pride beer on draught was expected in a Fullers owned hotel, a local draught beer option would be nice.

I had to carry my own suitcase up (heavy!). It much more importantly,
There was no cold water for a bath or shower: I did tell reception who I am sure dealt with it.
