Breakfast was ok, but was self service with no staff in attendance, and we were the only guests which made it seem odd.
Can't think of anything

Ripped off either by the hotel or Booking.com as we had to pay twice and still haven’t received our refund since December.

Location was convenient, Sofia was very welcoming and friendly.
She was informative and a very good first point of contact at the hotel.
The hotel was very clean and fresh, recently refurbed room was spacious and well appointed, very good value and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when next in the area on business
Slightly noisy from the passing traffic as just off a busy main road . However this was probably accelerated as the M5 was shut off between junctions so traffic was diverted past the hotel

The location was good for us,we was told there would be no facilities, the first two nights it was like a ghost hotel nice and quiet, the third night was noisy,as though people were in and out all night in the rooms next to us,which seemed unusual
No lamps for reading next to bed

Convenient and good value for money. Our room was comfortable and clean and warm. It was attended to daily which was nice
Bar was dark and soulless- could do with some bright cushions on the sofa and a few details added to the coffee tables. Noticed a dirty carpet line between the bar and staff kitchen door that could do with shampooing. Bar shuts early on a Sunday. View from room was over the kitchen ducts and pipes- not great- maybe invest in some film that obscures the view.

The location worked ok. Good shower/water pressure. Room was spacious
It was fine. Met minimum expectations. Price felt strong for such a basic set-up.

Good value for money , room and bathroom was clean , had a good selection of teas and coffee in room with kettle, reasonably good sized room and the hotel receptionist was very helpful, the restaurant adjoining the hotel is very good and we had a really nice meal.
The bath had loose handles , the bath towels were quite small ...only ok if you are extremely slim!, although the cups to make tea were fine the glasses for water were very small..only slightly bigger than a shot glass.

Handy location. Staff looked after us despite being terribly busy. Lovely veggie pasta dish.
Room not fit for purpose, ie couldn't sleep, due to large party with extremely loud disco deafening whole hotel. No warning online, only when had nonrefundable booking and arrived at hotel. This despite them ringing up to ask about arrival time. They should have rung to tell me about potential for noise until midnight and offered to refund booking so I could make one at a different hotel. Even better they should not have offered rooms that night to non party goers. Also no bedside lamp but this got sorted. Breakfast was odd being self service with no staff until later on, very basic continental. Was told no cooked breakfast available as hotel newly opened and couldn't do cooked breakfast yet but in the morning the party goers at breakfast did have cooked breakfasts provided!

The room didn’t have a side light or a light switch near the bed.

Very good location if you travel this area by car. We have visited Westonbirt Arboretum and it was about 20 min easy drive to this hotel. Nice and clean with bedrooms located at the far end in the quiet area. Big rooms, well decorated, clean and cosy. Good shower. We had a meal in the restaurant which was really nice and a good value. All staff are amazing! Will definitely come back when visiting this area .

Excellent location great parking recently refurbed warm clean comfortable room. Staff excellent service friendly greeting.
Suggestion: put the information regarding breakfast, bar and restaurant times in the room info. Perhaps the barcode to see restaurant menu would be helpful.
Also a hairdryer would be helpful.

The family room that was large and spacious
After reading reviews I thought was Dog friendly unfortunately it no longer is. The hotel staff were good enough to offer a room that could have a dog in it but just did mean paying for another room on top.

Location was good easy to find, clean and tidy, well furnished.
They supplied 2 coffees, 2 decaf coffees, 2 tea and 2 chocolates, however there was only 4 small pots of milk, after that you had to pay for refills, not enough milk left made the drinks very strong

On the A38, so handy for sightseeing.
Pleasant reception staff.
Bar area looked okay but I didn't use it.
The stair carpet was quite classy.
Checking me in by first name. Oddly over familiar. A little childish to write it, as Firstname followed by first initial of my surname on the room card. Fine if regular returning guests are okay with it. However, I wasn't given the option.
All windows in the room open on a cold day. Radiator on but on low. Thick dusty cobwebs all on the top windows. Extra strong air freshener sprayed into the room. Wasn't expecting to be put in a room obviously rarely used just because I paid a competitive rate. Room 30.
Asked for extra tea and milk as I was headed out. It was offered to be put into the room for me. Seemed unlikely as hotel seemed light on staff. So, not surprised to find nothing in my room on my return. If, even a bag outside my room wasn't possible. How about a bag left on the Reception desk? Possibly manager/owner type, sitting in a reception armchair, over rode the offer and then the request was forgotten in the business of a Friday night? Who knows.
Was breakfast possible? I couldn't see anything just after 7 am.
Not keen on not having at least a Duty Manager or night security/ porter on the site. GM carpark empty throughout my stay.
Someone presumably in the bar or restaurant or a member of staff had parked very oddly meaning that I had to follow suit. The next day the pick up / Hilux type had left, leaving me parked oddly across the lines. Otherwise I would have had to park much further from the hotel and I felt the car was more vulnerable that far away.
The fenced off part of the old carpark now seems to be a long stay and motorhome storage type of place. Some of the rooms look onto this!?
My room and the corridor carpet were extraordinarily awful. Odd as the one up the stairs was quite classy.

Recently refurbished - rooms were a good standard.
The bar was large, but pretty minimal - no draft beer, just bottles and no ice! Apparently due to open a steak house shortly?

Second time staying here. Room was as expected, clean, comfortable, Check in/out procedure was ok. Olympia on reception was very friendly and helpful.
Tap water is clearly marked as not suitable for drinking. There is just the one bottle of water provided per room which is not adequate. Barely enough for two hot drinks, and cleaning teeth. I dont have an issue with the tap water not being suitable for drinking but given cost, two bottles of water should be provided. Likewise only two tea bags provided in the room. Any further supply is chargeable !! The additional cost of providing four tea bags, coffee, decaf coffee etc would be minimal. Most guests would only have one or two drinks so not all sachets provided will be used anyway. Finally the hot water temp is way too high. Again there is warning sign in bathroom about water being hot, but is was so hot from the tap that there was a risk of scalding.

For the price point this is a real gem. A small ensuite double is really generous in terms of size, very comfy bed, quiet room, good amenities and clean. The only thing that needs improvement is some upgrade to the bathroom but it's a minor point.
Bathroom needs refurbishment

Reception smelt very clean and fresh. A very welcoming and peaceful ambience, greeted by a friendly receptionist who went above and beyond prior to booking. Sent me local recommendations for food, informed me that would be opening a bar and restaurant soon (which is good as we always rather choose somewhere that has everything under one roof) really did serve it's purpose. I would like to say they undersell a lot, in real life the expectations are met, should be a 4 star hotel or 5 if the customer service levels remained this way. Doesn't feel like a robot hotel where people don't even want to greet you, can tell they have carefully picked out staff which always makes the world of a difference as they represent the hotel. Sophie was also on Whatsapp and asked if there was anything else I needed. Would highly recommend sometimes hotels think we are just trademen but we also are humans! We enjoy the little gestures to! Lovely people lovely hotel a grand pleasure will recommend to others as got a great sleep too Thanks guys!

The hotel is going through some renovations. We stayed one night and the room was very comfortable. We didn't miss that there was no restaurant or bar. We had eaten prior to arriving. Renovations are very nice a restaurant and bar will be a nice addition for those staying longer than one night.
We were asked for a code but had not received one by the time we arrived but we had been traveling all day and didn't have wifi access.
