The individual rooms are really wonderful. Exceptional. Quiet and peaceful surroundings of great beauty. Breakfast was very good.
It took us a while to sort out the arrangements for the key- it was raining- but all became clear and no real difficulty.
I’m sure it was an oversight but we had no toiletries provided. Also the shortbread was out of date. (3/2/26) It tasted ok though.

The location beside the lovely church was great and the staff were really kind and welcoming. The generous breakfast was outstanding. We were encouraged to take the pastries we didn’t manage to eat out on our walks. There was also ample good quality tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room
The bed in the Rococo room was really very uncomfortable and space was quite limited within that room. Not good for a tall person at all!

The staff were lovely. The room was nicely appointed. They left us a little surprise for Valentines Day which was appreciated
The bed was a small double.
Shortbread left in room was out of date

Good location. Lovely shortbread treat. Quiet location but central.
Lack of parking, I got lucky for overnight portion outside but felt for the price there should be parking available. Parked in day by the church in village carpark. Fair distance though if you have heavy bags.
I didn't have breakfast and entrance was by keysafe which meant I didn't meet the owners, however the room was welcoming with notes.

Beautiful location and decor, lovely staff, delicious home-made food and “Len the Log” next door on arrival!
Only thing to mention was difficulty accessing streaming platforms e.g. Netflix on TV and the dining area is less relaxed than on some of the pictures, there’s not somewhere to sit and chill as such but everything else was perfect

Well located property in lovely village.
We felt it was a bit pricey and were a bit disappointed with our evening meal which was meant to be Fillet Steak Stew and was in fact a stewing steak of some sort. Also cream on Banoffee Pie was out of a can so at the price we didn’t book for breakfasts here.

Well located and a lovely restaurant on hand. Lovely staff in both accomodation and bistro.
I was lucky to get a parking space outside but there is a local car park not too far away I believe although didn’t need. So not really a not like but worth mentioning!

Perfect location and friendly staff! Alisha was very accommodating and welcoming when we arrived slightly earlier than planned. The room was very unique and comfortable. You can tell that they want their guests to feel comfortable and relaxed. The room was very clean!

The room was clean and quiet. The location is great. Breakfast - amazing - as was the staff!

The staff were lovely, the location good and having a bath after a long day of walking was fabulous.
We ate in the bistro and the food was delicious. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip.
My husband at 6ft found it difficult to stand up in the room because of the sloping ceilings. It’s purely personal taste but would have preferred furnishings more in keeping with a Period Cotswold property but that said everything was comfortable and clean.

Lovely place in a beautiful location. Room overlooking the church was picture-perfect!
Nothing - it was all really lovely.

The breakfast was exceptionally good and there was so much we were given a doggy bag to take away plenty for a delicious lunch too. Everything we were given was such good quality and, my goodness, the orange juice was freshly squeezed. There was so much to eat and we didn’t try everything. Thank you for all your hard work and lovely attention.
Beds were a bit low for bad backs, otherwise everything was lovely.

India room - we loved this room so much. The view over to the church is lovely. Very quiet and very convenient for restaurants and pubs.

Beautiful room in a very peaceful pretty setting. The continental breakfast was fantastic with freshly baked pastries. I would especially recommend it for coeliacs as I had freshly made gf pastries which were served separately which was amazing, thankyou.

The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the location is great for walking the Cotswold Way! The restaurant in the same building but not a part of the hotel/B&B was excellent! If you like heavily themed rooms this may be good for you.
We found the room clean but stuffed with too many decorations. We had the Retro room which had a hanging plastic ball chair (uncomfortable and mostly unusable for us) and a low sofa that wasn't conducive to sitting and reading or using a computer. There was nowhere to pack and unpack, every flat surface was covered with knick-knacks from the 1970s, and very little space for hanging things up. The room is dark (the bathroom walls are black) and the drapes are heavy and so it was not a comfortable space to read or write for us. There is plenty of space in the so adding a small table and couple of chairs would be helpful. As it was the bar across is light and pleasant and a great place to read.
The remote check in and lack of people also seemed odd at this price point.

Central village location with compact accommodation. Everything we needed to hand. Very slick fixtures and fittings, Breakfast was a feast of local produce, far too much for one sitting but happily put in a box to take with you.
Nothing really. It was exactly as described . Unfortunately we did not eat at the bistro but menu looked superb.

Loved the style, location and friendliness of the staff. The room was beautiful and we liked being able to read at the pretty outdoor tables tucked away on the patio at the back. Breakfast was gorgeous - all very fresh and lots homemade.
We liked everything except unfortunately the water didn’t run very hot in the morning so it was a slightly tepid shower.

Beautifully decorated rooms with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent facilities, lots of thoughtful nice touches, beautiful views and a good central location in Painswick. Breakfast was amazing with a superb range of savoury and sweet options and a takeaway box with pastries so we had plenty for a picnic lunch on our walk! We also ate in the bistro each evening, which has an interesting menu and excellent personal service. Lovely friendly helpful hosts in both the accomodation and the bistro.
We had to leave our car in a public car park nearby but it was free and we could drop off our luggage, so not a problem. Accomodation very central so everything was within walking distance, including the Cotswold Way.
