Great value place, in a wonderful location

The location is excellent. Decent size comfortable room, with a nice comfortable bed. Warm and cozy. The condiments, nice breakfast items in the fridge all of a high quality. We also got this for a fantastic price.

Our room had some basic, but easily fixable annoying faults. The lights, in the living room/ couch side of room, wall mounted weren’t working. Making the room quite dark at that side. I discovered in the morning, after leaving the switch on for a few minutes, that the lights were flickering. It’s a wiring, loose connection fault that could easily be fixed. That goes for 2 other annoying faults. When you turned the shower on, the shower head spun round and soaked you. A new cheap shower rail would fix that. Finally, the front door, the main access door was jamming at the bottom when entering the building. You had to give it a good hard shove, shoulder charge or a kick. This warping, and sticking door has probably been caused by a long period of bad weather, with a blocked or leaking gutter. Again, it’s an easy cheap fix. Not the best for sound proofing either. But the 3 faults easily fixable, though annoying, would not put me off booking, or staying again.

Good location and quiet at night. Very warm property we did turn the heating off as very warm being right at the top.

The stairs are a bit high and slippery when wet and in cold weather. The room needed to have a good deep clean, lots of cobwebs and spiders in corners of room and bathroom.

The breakfast provided in the fridge was lovely . Delicious freshly squeezed orange juice , muffins , fresh milk . Lots of teas and special cafetière coffee. The housekeeping service was very efficient , responding straight away to a request we had and leaving us a wee note. The location is ideal right in the middle of Nailsworth.

The Wi-Fi was a bit erratic. The code provided was different on the sheet to the one on the ‘ picture frame’ . We were only in the room at night time and early morning , as we were spending time with family who live in Nailsworth but haven’t got a spare room at the moment!

We thought we were going to staffed accommodation with a sit down breakfast but discovered it was a room with continental breakfast items provided. We made a last minute booking that hadn’t filtered through to the owner so linked by phone to gain access. All ok but in the end not as welcoming as we’d hoped. Hot water took a while to filter through for shower. The cleaning lady was seeking access at 10.03 in the morning, so we felt chased out, commenting to ourselves, as we descended the stairs, that it was a shame, as it marred the experience. It would have been good to be welcomed with a smile and to leave with opportunity to thank someone for the beautiful room. Facilities in the room were a very high standard. Very comfortable stay. Thank you.

A 2 night stay that exceeded our expectations and we hope to stay again later this year.

Our room, Elderflower, was on the first floor with a large bay window overlooking Cassock Square. It had internal blinds and blackout curtains.The room was immaculately clean, the shower excellent and the double bed very comfortable! The continental breakfast, eaten in the room, included muffins, homemade granola, yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruit, as well as orange juice and fresh coffee or tea- more than enough until lunch!

Absolutely fabulous stay in 'Nettle'!

We stayed in 'Nettle' which was excellent in every way. The owners attention to detail would take some beating with decoration and layout, and also with the very clever well thought out breakfast provision. Great Bay window overlooking the Square too. Can't wait to go back later in the month hopefully. 10 out of 10 absolutely!

Extremely disappointing.

Very little

Location opposite a pub with attendant noise. Room was stuffy and unaired with old fashioned single glazed windows difficult to open plus a low ceiling. Breakfast items did not include serviettes nor even bread or butter. The fridge is noisy and had to be turned off to assist sleep. This is a pretentious, overpriced facility with poor access via outside stairs and an unreliable, over complicated door code system. We shall not revisit. NB I invariably give positive reviews so this one is very much an exception.

Comfortable room in good small town location.

Easy entry system; excellent provision of breakfast items in the room, regularly replenished. (The homemade granola was delicious). Decaff and full strength proper coffee; fresh milk and yogurt. Prompt attention to the (minor) issue with curtaining. Good to have comfy armchairs by the window to watch the world go by Loved the location and detail given re parking. Plenty of restaurants , cafes and bars in walking distance. [Note : an ice tray in the icebox might be a good addition]

Issue with curtains and their fixings =maintenance issue. However, a short term fix was promptly applied, pending a full re-hang.

Stunning space

The Newmarket apartment is stunning. So comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Shower fantastic, lovely comfy sofa and huge bed. Great to have a kitchen and a dining table, so much room. Can't wait to return.

Room was spacious, comfortable and well stocked with everything I needed. Good view out into the town from my window. Really enjoyed my stay.

Nice size room, nice size en-suite, easy parking

From initial booking Matthew kept in touch and answered questions. The properrty was formerly a restaurant which has been converted to self catering and not self catering accommodation. We stayed in a room only which included a breakfast. The breakfast was a continental breakfast and there was plenty of it to choose from. Parking was not an issue, details of this were sent just before our stay. We will definately book for our next visit to the area.
