We love the place as we got married there and after 24 years have started to go back for anniversaries.

Beautiful location, very picturesque and a great Christmas feel to the place. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Room was a bit pricey although it was the start of the Christmas festivities and there was a wedding on.

Fantastic location, nice accommodation. And they have e-chargers for my car!!!

I had to ask the waitress three times to bring me water and she still forgot. However the food was very good.

Would have been nice to have a dog bowl or something to show for the £20 dog fee but this is by no means unique to this place.

Perfect in every way!

This is such a beautiful hotel and restaurant! We loved our room, the beds were SO comfortable and the staff were really helpful and attentive. The food was excellent and the location perfect. Really can’t fault this place and we only wish we’d stayed the whole trip here without bouncing around! Nowhere else we stayed matched up. We’ll be back

very quaint ， loved the wooden beams & stonework, old metal mill parts. Large comfortable bedroom & en-suite , decor very welcoming

Radiator didn’t heat up the helpful manager went into town & bought a plug in heater which took the chill off the room, the en-suite was very warm , so kept the door open so some of that heat helped. Food generally very good , unfortunately my steak pie on Saturday night wasn’t very special, the meat was chewy & not tender, got a 50% discount, but you don’t want that you want a decent pie, have to mention Stacie who waited on, worth her weight in gold, funny , chatty, efficient & bubbly, give that lady a pay rise!

Perfect romantic staycation!

Decided to stay here for convenience as were viewing wedding venues in the area. However, I’m so glad we did. This hotel was absolutely beautiful, very charming and wholesome. The location was beautiful, very peaceful and I loved waking up to the sound of the stream. The room was very romantic, perfect for cuddling up in bed all day. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back here for another romantic weekend away.

Great location in a lovely little town. A characterful conversion of the original water mill. Really helpful staff and dog friendly.

Our room was a bit noisy due to people talking very loudly in the smoking area nearby in the evening one of the nights we stayed, which is the only thing that would put us off staying again.

Lovely overnight stay

Beautiful venue in a lovely village. Love the stream and the original features of the mill. Bed was super comfy and room nicely decorated. Staff were all friendly.

Not a complaint, but there were a fair few dead insects/flies on the ceiling next to the air vent above the shower, so when showering couldn't help but notice it, and few cob webs and dust in the room. It didn't bother us as such, but a bit more of a thorough clean with detail to things like that, would have been what made the rating excellent.

Characterfull hotel with friendly service.

Converted mill in a nice location, with a pub and restaurant attached. The room we had was larger than expected with a lovely bed, but in the rafters so not for anyone really tall! The decor is not modern, but everything was clean and worked as it should; no complaints! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and our stay exceeded expectations.

Very minor point, but the pillows weren't very supportive. Maybe there were firmer options we could have asked for but just didn't think to ask.

Beautiful setting, rooms are always really clean and good facilities, we love it here, so much walking to do in the area and the mill itself is great for food and drinks, staff are part of the reason it's so good they can't do enough for you.

I was in room 28, over the bridge in the building to the right…..you could hear every door being open and closed woke us up all hours of the night. I wanted to hear the stream but heard everything but that.

dinner and service was lovely and staff were helpful, The mill was fantastic just let down by looking a bit tired now.

The room we had was right by the stairs in a hollow walkway and all night till late we were disturbed by up and down stairs and talking as the wall are very thin this was the same at 7.00 am in the morning for several hours not a very good nights sleep.

A most enjoyable three night stay at a very friendly hotel.

The staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. A very comfortable spacious bedroom with sizeable separate shower area. Superb evening meals from an excellent menu. Parking easy. We shall certainly return.

The room was very stuffy and found it very difficult to breath in the room. We did ask for alternative room but they did not have a room. We check out without staying.

Good location and it’s a wonderful property

Room in top of main building oddly laid out Repeatedly banged my head on roof beams No hot water Toilet faulty Whole room needs revamping Told manager re water and toilet soon after arrival “yes we know, I can’t get a plumber” it’s too late telling me after my cold shower. Asked about the residents bar for when we return after a party. No the bar closes 11pm…. What??? Huge hotel and no night bar??? Spoke to a manager again on leaving- really didn’t seem the slightest bit interested but said”I’ll refund half”- fine But it’s was rubbish

A magical stay in this converted Mill which is full of heritage & character.

Beautiful room with bags of character & an incredibly comfortable bed. It had amazing old beams. Loved the big tea cups and coffee machine in my room! A great renovation of Mill into Hotel. Beautiful sitting area by the pond out at the back. Plenty of parking space just over the little bridge, so very convenient.

Food was good but could have been better. Bathroom a little dated but very clean & adequate. More history provided about the Mill would be good.
