Absolutely stunning lakeside paradise – one of the best views and experiences!

We had an unforgettable stay at the Hermitage, and I can honestly say it's one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. The location right on the shores of Lake Lucerne is perfect – direct access to the lake, breathtaking views of the water and surrounding mountains from almost everywhere, including our room. Waking up to that scenery every morning was pure magic! The facilities are top-notch: modern, stylish rooms (designed with such elegance), a wonderful beach club area, and plenty of relaxing spots to enjoy the lakefront. Everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. And the staff? Exceptionally helpful, friendly, and attentive – they made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. If you're looking for a scenic, peaceful retreat with amazing lake views, excellent amenities, great food, and warm service, this hotel is highly recommended. We can't wait to come back!

Trendy upscale & modern hotel by the lake - if the $ suits your wallet

Extremely upbeat, recently renovated (evth looks brand new!), location is pristine (unbeatable in the Lucern region), breakfast buffet is excellent (very complete, with some dishes custom cooked). Staff is amazing! Thanks Tarik & colleagues for all the attention and New Years' gift - we loved it!

Only one issue: I think it is too pricey for the value it offers. Doesn't even have an indoor pool (could me mini), or a jacuzzi. For roughly CHF 500 I have stayed in faaaar better hotels - but don't get me wrong, it is gorgeous! If you are ok paying this price, I would definitely recommend it.

Was a good stay

Great location and great room with great view and a nice breakfast and i was given a heater when i requested.

The room service was not that good and their cleaning was not good they dont clean everyday. When i requested a late check out they were strict and just gave me half an hour. I needed to pay for the parking as well

The room was spacious and the view was stunning. Breakfast was very good and the choice was big. The location is also great as the bus stops just in front of the hotel and needs ca. 15 min to the train station.

Very pleasant stay with gorgeous view

View was great, the interior was good with very good taste. there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel which is very convenient to get to Lucerne train stations and the hotel offers free bus transportations! Staff was all very friendly and helpful with very high efficiency!

Beautiful setting in the shadow of the Alps.

The entire staff was polite, friendly & helpful. From the welcome to the departure everything was excellent. They were helpful in suggesting and arranging some tourist activities. The ease of the bus to town and then the ability to come back to a relaxing atmosphere in the shadow of the Alps is wonderful. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. The only thing that should be noted is the open concept of the room. While it is spacious and beautiful, if you prefer some privacy while bathing and showering this is not possible. Would definitely recommend staying!!!

Only would prefer a separation between the bathing and living/sleeping areas.

WOW! What an amazing hotel. The staff are so welcoming and are happy to answer any question you might have, even if its not necessarily related to the hotel itself. The rooms are so clean, big, amazing view, its very clear they put a lot of thought into every small detail. The breakfast is AMAZING! One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. The wellness area is well maintained and offers a good variety of options Highly highly recommend this hotel

Grrat choice to stay in Lucerne.

Great quiet location . Bus stops at the door which is frequent, fast, convenient and free. Luxury hotel with great food and service. Staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

I didn’t like that during dinner I was charged 9 francs for tap water.

Relaxing and very enjoyable.

Easy access to city by bus. Relaxing atmosphere. Large comfy room overlooking garden and lake. Delicious breakfast included. Use of e-bikes and water activities included was a nice perk as was the wellness centre.

Lovely hotel

The location was great. It was 10 minutes on the bus outside of Lucerne. We were given a free bus pass and it was very easy. The bus stop was right outside the hotel. The hotel was on the lake and the views were beautiful. The room was lovely, large and comfortable.

There wasn’t much to not like. The breakfast could have been better - a bit more choice.

We loved it!

It was clean, comfortable and a lovely place to spend time in Luzern! We were so happy to have easy lake access on some hot summer days and a wonderful place to relax. Transportation to town on the bus was easy, safe and it came often!

We will be back!

The view was unbeatable and the room was very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. We liked that it was just a short bus ride into town with the stop right outside the hotel which made it very convenient. There is also a water taxi (but larger) that you can take into town. We did that one evening and really enjoyed the views. We enjoyed the complimentary water activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking and pedal boating. We spent a lot of time swimming in the lake too. There isn’t really a beach so the inner tubes they provided made it easy to hop in and float around. I did not have a chance to use the spa so I can’t speak to that. The food is expensive but that is true of every place in Lucerne and Switzerland in general. We would definitely stay here again.

It would have been nice to have a small on-site shop for things like sunscreen but the ride to town was quick and easy.

Lovely stay with family

The view of the lake from our room was amazing. The entire hotel and property were beautiful and inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

No enough complementary water, No Iron and No privacy in the bathroom but they bring mobile partition BUT the most important notice is that when I checked in they insist to have a deposit of 549CHF as a guarantee for any extra and it’s refundable if not used and when I checked out they refund only 500 CHF and they said the 49 CHF is a government tax which they don’t told me from the beginning at the time of checked in and told them my notice that they should be clear with the client Moreover When they sent my bill I couldn’t see the 49 CHF as apart from the Tax list despite the staff was nice but the ambiguity is there.

We had a nightmare trying to sort out visiting the spa - wasted a whole morning on it. The spa isn't open in the mornings on weekdays. You can call to request entry but then we had to separately call for someone to turn on sauna and steam room. Outrageous for a hotel that cost us £567 for one night. Restaurant wasn't great- my steak was overdone and the bulgur/fish dish needed much more flavour. Overall very disappointed for the price.

The way how they treat their customers. They do not have a policy of deposit but they will create one to you based on your looking or race. And also you can negotiate with them on that firstly they ask me for 100 frank per night then they have made it to 100 per person ! It was really funny as their explanation was incase I ate food and did not pay for it or got something from the room before the check out! As thief while I have paid 2800 frank for three nights and still did not value the customers.

Excellent stay close to town while sufficiently secluded for peace and privacy

Nice hotel. Location is away from town center, but only a free short bus ride away. Also walkable under an hour. Excellent views, great staff, nice spa. The weather was still too cool (early April) for most of the water sports activities, but the grounds were beautiful to walk around right on the water (not a road or two to cross).

lovely lakeside location with fabulous views. clean and modern. garden with outside seating right next to the lake. easy parking for a big car. efficient and friendly staff. you could watch the sunset over the mountains from the bar

the beds are the very low ones with the hard casing round the outside - very easy to hurt your self on if you aren’t paying attention. a little bit clinical but that’s just my taste.
