The location was perfect: Cute village near Cochem (village with castle, which is much noisier), walking distance to the river shore and to restaurants/ bars. Parking was close and easily accessible. Nice common area around the reception and nice terrace and garden (which we didn't use at all). The manager/ staff were polite.

The listing is with wireless internet, but there was no usable connection, neither the first nor the second day of our stay. I had counted on that and ended up trying to resolve a problem (for professional purposes). Don't see why one offers a room with internet and is not at least warn of this problem: Clearly, we wouldn't have taken the room, if we knew about this. We had paid for breakfast included, but they served the breakfast starting 08:30, which is quite late, if you want to be early at the sites (and you have to get early to the castles during the weekend). I understand that this is a family business, however, the value of the breakfast was zero. The room was listed to be 22 sqm, but it "felt" smaller, so we measured it: it was clearly below 20 sqm. Don't know if they took into account the balcony, but it was not clarified in the listing. The shower and bathroom sink were not separated through a door from the room. The toilet was in an other (very small) room on the opposite side. Generally we found this separation not convenient. The pictures were not inaccurate, however when we selected the room, turns out that we also saw pictures of an other room, which caused confusion.

Nice location if U want to avoid the busy city Cochem

Location was good to start a 16 km hiking track just from the mountain road just 300 meter from hotel,and 3 km from Cochem, and other way to Ernst also 3 km where's a nice bakery and supermarket,

bad thing is that on Sunday everything is closed even restaurants, only some are open.

Quite amazing!

This was a sudden on the go plan as my parents were tired and wanted to rest a little. And we didn’t regret it one bit. Super friendly host and staff plus a good breakfast. My parents enjoyed the view from their room and the walk around Moselle.

Staying at this hotel is pure pleasure. Nice welcome, easy check-in and comprehensive information. A big plus for a very comfortable bed, we slept great. We had a balcony with sun loungers and a well-kept garden at our disposal. The breakfast was delicious, we lacked nothing. The area encourages walking, there is really a lot to do :). The host took care of our well-being, thank you very much. We will definitely come back :) Because we didn't manage to visit everything, two days is definitely not enough for so many tourist attractions

Amazing short stay near to Cochem

Small cozy place very close to river Mosel. Breakfast was nice , standard German breakfast, bread, hosts were friendly. Valwig is a small village but It is very near to Cochem town so would definitely recommend this place who wants to stay little away from Cochem but still close by. If you stay, do try having dinner at the Fisch Fritz restaurant, the fish preparations are simply delicious there.

WiFi signal was very poor, kept coming and going and even when it was there,it was very weak in the room.

De WC was direct aangrenzend aan de slaapkamer. Bijgevolg was er geluidshinder voor mijn partner, bij gebruik in de nacht. De douche was zonder grote sproeikop en aan één kant was er een lek, zodat het water in de badkamer kon stromen Onze raad is om ook in de eetzaal een deftige koffiemachine te plaatsen. Deze koffieautomaat was eigenlijk niet geschikt voor meerdere personen, dus veelvuldig gebruik na mekaar!

Valwig lädt für entspannte Tage ein - Restaurants sind sehr gut! Zum Hotel: Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon; einfaches Check-In über Schlüsselbox (nach 18:00). Sehr schöner Garten der zum Sitzen einlädt. Das Frühstück war gut, wenn auch Beschriftungen gefehlt haben. Parksituation sehr komfortabel.

Ventilator auf dem Zimmer - es wurde relativ warm & feucht da die Dusche keine Tür zum Zimmer hat. Das Frühstück könnte ein paar Anweisungen vertragen (z.B., dass es Rührei und Filterkaffee nur auf Wunsch gibt)

Abschließbare Garage mit Lademöglichkeit für E-Bikes. Das Frühstücksbuffet war von der Auswahl her und mit frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen war sehr gut. Ein gut sortierter Getränkekühlschrank mit nichtalkoholischen und alkoholischen Getränken stand zur Verfügung.

Sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Badezimmer hat es schimmelig gerochen. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und im Duschgelbehälter war lediglich eine wasserähnliche Flüssigkeit. Im Aufenthaltsraum und auf der Terrasse durften keine eigenen Speisen verzehrt werden.

Gemütliche Unterkunft an der Mosel

Ein zwar kleines, aber sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Eierspeisen wurden frisch gemacht. Das Landhaus ist in einigen Dingen vielleicht etwas "Oldschool". Aber gerade das macht den Charme und die Gemütlichkeit aus.

Das einzig negative war das sehr schlechte WLAN. Das ist sicherlich nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Frühstückszeiten lediglich von 8:30 - 10:00. Ein früherer Beginn wäre wünschenswert.

Runtergekommen

Klare Vortäuschung eines renovierten Bades auf den Bildern und dann ein übelst runtergekommenes Bad geben. Das Bad ist älter als der Mauerfall mit vom Urin gelb verfärbten Klodeckel, Schimmel verseuchte Holzdecke, nicht identifizierbarer Dreck an mehreren Stellen. Auf die Beanstandung wurde nicht reagiert und gesagt, dass das halt einer ihrer Bäder ist. Die Bilder auf booking.com entsprechen nicht der Realität. Einrichtung im Zimmer von Poco und das Bad wie gesagt seit Jahrzehnten nicht hergerichtet. Unmöglich wie das ältere Besitzerpärchen mit ihrer jungen Angestellten vor den Gästen umgegangen ist - überheblich und haben herumgebrüllt.

Een paar hele dagen gehad

De locatie is geweldig. Erg rustig in het dorp en verdop in Cochem vind je meer vertier. Het ontbijt is prima.

De wifi is erg slecht en niet van deze tijd. Dat moet echt beter. De kamers zijn sober maar netjes. Het koffiezetapparaat bij het ontbijt is erg traag waardoor mensen vaak lang staan te wachten. De filter koffie werkt sneller en is prima trouwens.

Durchwachsener Aufenthalt – schöner Gemeinschaftsbereich, aber enttäuschendes Zimmer

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel hinterlässt bei uns gemischte Eindrücke. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir den modern gestalteten Aufenthaltsraum sowie den gepflegten Garten – beides lädt zum Verweilen ein und vermittelt eine angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre. Hier spürt man, dass sich jemand Mühe gibt, den Gästen einen schönen Gemeinschaftsbereich zu bieten.

Leider können wir das Gleiche nicht über unser Zimmer sagen. Untergebracht wurden wir in einem Dachbodenzimmer, das auf der Website nicht abgebildet war. Das Zimmer war sehr aufgeheizt, was bei sommerlichen Temperaturen unangenehm aber noch hinnehmbar war. Besonders enttäuschend aber waren die alten, durchgelegenen Federkernmatratzen, die für eine schlaflose Nacht sorgten, denn auf den Fotos waren neue Boxspringbetten abgebildet, was unseren Eindruck zusätzlich trübte. Insgesamt schade – das Potenzial ist da, gerade durch die schönen Gemeinschaftsbereiche. Aber bei der Zimmerqualität und im Umgang mit Gästebeschwerden gibt es noch deutlichen Verbesserungsbedarf. Wir hätten uns hier mehr Transparenz bei der Buchung und vor allem ein Mindestmaß an Entgegenkommen gewünscht. Wir sind Vielreisende und wissen, was man für diesen Preis erwarten darf – leider wurde dieses Niveau hier nicht erreicht.

Hyvä aamiainen, jossa kuohuviini oli positiivinen yllätys. Yksi työntekijä selvisi hienosti urakastaan. Kiitos siitä, että "nuoriherra" antoi meille huoneen, jossa saattoi nukkua kuumasta säästä huolimatta.

Ilmastointia ei ollut, joten varaamamme huone oli todella kuuma. Onneksi saimme vaihdetuksi parvekkeellisen huoneen, jossa selvisimme kohtuullistesti kuumuudesta huolimatta. Majoituspaikassa oli mukava puutarha, mutta siivoamattomat lehtikasat ja kaiken keskelle jätetty kasteluletku veivät innon istua siellä. Pieni vaiva olisi huolehtia siisteydestä myös ulkona.

Fijn dat we het zelf gezellig hadden, geen bijzonder hotel.

Rustige ligging

In de ochtend koude douche ( meteen gemeld maar werd niets mee gedaan ) omdat er al te veel mensen gedoucht hadden en de warm watervoorziening niet voldeed. Geen airconditioning op de kamer en gehorig. Het onduidelijke online inchecken, en de verschillende mails net na de boeking.

Ik zou zo weer gaan, maar dan met een luxere kamer met balkon bijvoorbeeld. Moeilijk met 8 kamers.

De ontvangst was allervriendelijkst. Heel lieve eigenaresse. Het ontbijt was fantastisch. Prachtige tuin om even te relaxen.

Zolderkamer met één dakraam was bloedheet. Wel schoon en in orde. Maar zou niet onze eerste keus zijn. Ander negatief puntje: het water werd niet warm in de morgen, dus koud douchen. waarschijnlijk overbelast.
