Perfect, would definitely stay again

It’s cozy, very familiar and beautiful. We especially liked the grape details on the building. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable. There was also the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time.

The only downside was that the mattress was too soft, which was a problem for my back problems.

Amazing!

Everything was amazing! I liked that it was so clean and tight! Also, the view from our balcony was lovely. The hotel is in a good location, right next to the supermarket and close to Cochem centre and has a paid parking right next to the hotel. The staff was very kind with us and helped us with everything we needed and also the breakfast was delicious!

My favorite hotel ever

maybe the best hotel I've ever been to and I travel quite a bit. great staff, comfortable beds, beautiful understated decor, fantastic shower pressure, the best breakfast spread I've ever had at a hotel and gummy bears on your pillow. I wouldn't change a thing and I might plan another trip back just to stay here again. 5 star resorts could learn from the Altes Winzerhaus

Better than I could have hoped for.

Claudia was an exceptional host, with really good English. Always ready to do whatever she could to improve our stay. We left early on our last day, and she had prepared a really good breakfast bag to take with us. Breakfasts were great throughout our stay. Just a pleasant 15-20 minute walk along the riverbank to the centre of town.

The bathroom was a bit small, though it was perfectly clean and modern, and had all that was needed. Being a back room, the view wasn't great, but we only used the room for sleeping in, so not a problem. Really, there was nothing to fault.

Lovely hotel in Cochem.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable beds, on site parking, and excellent breakfast. Owner was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Exceptional

No manned reception after 6pm but this was communicated clearly and in a very friendly manner in advance. Clear instructions received in advance about how to retrieve key for car parking and key for room. All worked out as described without fault upon arrival at 7pm. Comfortable and quiet room. Hotel is within comfortable walking distance of the centre of Cochem. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. No problem with delaying check-out until 12 noon.

Great hotel overlooking the river

The room was very spacious with nice modern amenities, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The building looks traditional and is very cute, the breakfast room overlooks the river and offers a great view. The breakfast is very rich and with fresh croissants, bread, many different cheese types and fresh fruit. The personnel is extremely nice and helpful and we really felt well taken care of. Nice plus: we could check-in earlier and chocolate was available in the hall in the evening. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic stay!

A great stay, the hotel was immaculate and had lots of personal touches that made you feel at home. You could see the pride of ownership. The room was comfy and exceptionally clean. Claudia at the front desk was fantastic, she was so friendly and kind and answered every question. We walked into town along the Mosel River and there is a grocery store next door. The breakfast was great with all the options you could want. Highly recommend this hotel.

The property was very convenient, staff super helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fresh with a lot of variety. A grocery located right next door was helpful for buying water and snacks and such an easy (1km) walk into the central town.

At night, the property felt far from restaurants and services and so that was when the location felt less convenient.

lovely base for 4 days in Cochem

great breakfast, great views, really helpful staff (gave local food recommendations), comfortable beds, very clean, handy little supermarket next door! Animal park (with a surprise waterpark attached) was a great day out. Cochem schwimmbad was great for the kids!

Super clean and pleasant rooms. Excellent staff, lovely breakfast. The rooms with the amazing view are on a busy and noisy road. If this disturbs you, go for a room at the back. Totally quiet, but wuth shared, pleasant patio.
