Overall disappointed with location and attitude of staff in reflection to not getting the shower fix

Breakfast was good.

Location poor next to main railway station. Shower was blocked and kept overflowing . This was reported on 2 occasions and still nothing was done. Ran out of toilet paper as only 1 bit available. No privacy curtains so when the black out curtains were opened anyone could see in from the upper cafe in the Railway Station. Food appeared expensive in the restaurant with very little choice so ate out both nights.

Disappointing

The breakfast was good as was the dining . However the interior designer has spoilt the interior of the hotel the bedroom with its quirky set up the bathroom has a perpex wall , the toilet was accessed separately ! The bed was very uncomfortable. The designer should be sent to see how nice the interior of the Mercure at Exeter UK.

Filmsy pillows and the logistics around breakfast really needs to be looked at. Staff are nice.

Chaotic breakfast Seemed to be a full house which can’t have been a surprise to the staff so why not have a decent supply of croissants.. ran out 30 minutes before end of breakfast time. They badly need a self-service coffee machine and a decent sized milk dispenser… continually running out of milk from the single carafe available. They bring out about 8 bowls at a time which rapidly get used up.

Great friendly place to stay

Reception staff was super welcoming! Any person we encountered behind the counter were helpful and kind. Breakfast was quite nice, especially the possibility to make our own eggs. Cute experience The room was amazing! Almost as much space in the room as in the bathroom! A rare gem. It was super well located, near the train station and the shuttle to the aiport. Super convinient

Having never stayed in a Mercure hotel before, I had no particular expectation. It was superb.

All the staff were superb but particular mention for Mousta who checked us in in the most friendly and helpful manner.

Not enjoyable

Room size

Always a problem with the connexion to charge things to the room, even though they took a 200€ block on my card. So every time I would request a bill go on my room (toujours avec une crédit de 200€ sur mon card) they’d say not possible(?). The absolute embarrasse was truly disgusting in front of people (clients) with me. That will never be forgotten.

prices in this hotel vary wildly. For less than 100€ - superb deal. Otherwise - well. rooms are relatively small (unless you get an upgrade) beds are very hard

Disappointing

It’s convenience to the railway station

The size of the rooms and the fact the bed linen was stained in the first room we had . When we checked in and went to our room , the first thing we noticed were two stains on the duvet cover. We also realised that there was nowhere to put our luggage without it blocking the room . I went down to ask could the bed linen be changed or could we get a larger room which I was happy to pay extra for. We moved to a slightly bigger room which was also grubby. I won’t be staying in a Mercure hotel again in a hurry .

Lovely modern and clean hotel in central location

Lovely, clean and modern, we arrived very early and the lady on reception made sure we could check in early, she was very friendly and polite. Great location.

Great hotel, shame about breakfast!

The room and hotel in general, was stylish, comfortable, and clean. I liked the location, very handy for the city centre.

Breakfast. No system of seating, no explanation from waiting staff as to what was on offer. Coffee was weak, and food in general not very nice. Tables were not clean, or set correctly, if at all.
