The parking was ideal, walk to old town & a very nice room

Large, quiet family room with comfortable beds - we slept very well here. Very good breakfast - the kids enjoyed crepes with Nutella! Great that breakfast is free for kids. A nice little play area with some toys in the reception area, which my son enjoyed (age 5). Good location right next to the castle and near the botanic gardens.

There is hardly any decoration in the room, which makes it feel a bit basic. A few pictures on the walls and a bit of attention to detail with the decoration would make it more homely.

The hotel was very convenient for the train station and the historic centre of the city. We had to leave early on the last day but it was easy to have a breakfast and check out. The room was well equipped and there was a large table, which was useful. It was welcome to have a bath as well as a shower. The ability to use the drinks machine in the foyer in the evening was a good feature. The breakfasts were very good.

The layout of the room was rather poor. The main problem was that there was not enough space around the double bed, especially on the window side. This meant there was no bedside table on that side. There was very little space to access the bed from that side. This was made worse by the TV being on a wheeled stand, shoehorned into the space between the bed and the wall, making it harder to get into the bed. The TV was difficult to use, which made this obstruction more annoying. It would have been better not to have a TV in the room. Otherwise the living room arrangement was quite good, but there was not adequate cupboard space for the equipment. Separating the toilet from the bathroom was not ideal.

Great location, friendly and accommodating staff, safe luggage storage, coffee and tea making facilities at reception.

The toilet in the room smelled like urinals. It was separate to the sink and bath/shower though which although impractical, worked for the purpose of avoiding the unpleasant smell. The breakfast was the most basic of all the hotels we've been to in the region (5 different ones in a week) so far and the most expensive. The sofa bed was stained and there was no mattress protector nor topper to go on it, just a sheet.
