It was wonderful. The villas were large and comfortable with fantastic views. The staff were kind and helpful. The spa services were great value.

The service at dinner was slightly slow, but otherwise I couldn’t fault the stay at all.

It really suited me, relaxed eco vibe with picturesque and good facilities and I had the most spectacular view from my suite. I wanted to relax and rest and I got to do this. The Hot Stone Massage was worth it. I enjoyed the restaurant food, and staff organised anything that I wanted.

Honestly, I think the safety guidance around Bloo Lagoon Beach could be much clearer. It is a beautiful and inviting bay, but it can be deceptive from a safety perspective. There is a shallow coral shelf which allows you to walk out from the beach sand through the waves towards deeper water, and boats come into the bay in the mornings with snorkellers. This could easily give guests the impression that it is generally safe to walk out from the beach and snorkel independently. Sadly, a foreign tourist died while snorkelling at Bloo Lagoon yesterday afternoon. I was actually at the beach earlier in the day the day before snorkelling from the beach but amongst the boat snorkelers for safety and experienced the incoming waves myself getting back to the beach but that was okay. I chose not to go back into the water when I arrived later in the day yesterday as the waves crashed in but with strong under currents as the tide moves out. Knowing what happened afterwards has made me feel even more strongly that guests should be given clearer information about the potential dangers of the water and changing conditions. The resort had many families staying as it was during school holidays, and so the beautiful pool with its slide is understandably a major attraction for children.
