Nice and clean, basic but pleasant accommodation

We stayed there 1 night, but we would definitely come back. Basic but clean accommodation with a pool. You can buy drinks there ( we bought beer ;-) ) and have water or coffee. Walking distance to the restaurant. Lovely cats.

Swimming pool was a but cold. The rest was very pleasant.

Needed a one night short stay before catching the ferry. It was the perfect stop for just that.

Marcos and his friend were wonderful hosts. He is very engaging and funny. My banana pancakes were delicious!

Location is perfect if you have the morning ferry to Gili, about 7 min walk.

Room and bathroom very basic but really good value for money. Breakfast was included but we did not have time due to ferry departure.

A little Gem

We loved it, super chilled and welcoming in an authentic non- overt way. It wasn't modern or ritzy but seemed functional in a really relaxed, no-nonsense way with a real high vibe, which in our recent times is not common anymore. I enjoyed the buildings' colour and love put into the little sections of garden around the place, friendly chilled pet kittens and dog a real Balinese feel with authentic people in an authentic town. Most people stay one night in Prabenbai in transit to and from the Gillies and don't get to relax here, and overlook this gem. I'd like to be back there now with a beer watching the harbour boats come and go from the top floor balcony,

Having to deal with ear infection and eventually leaving - no , seriously, no complaints. We loved it. Some people would probably not like the noise from the harbour or the mosque, but to us, it all made sense and added to the flavour and feel of a real town- which is part of why we went to Bali.

Great value, so friendly and laid back.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were super helpful and friendly, everything was laid back. our friends in town were welcome to come and hang out, eat and enjoy the pool. Beers and coke on tap with a running tab made it easy to pay once at the end. Marco the chef (and owner) makes amazing food. Room was adequate, but you only need it to sleep. All the guests were friendly and positive. Nice place to meet people. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Prayers town temple at 4 in the morning, and ferry announcements mean light sleepers will be woken. But probably everyone in the town will hear them. Welcome to Padangbai!

Alola Inn is possibly the one nice thing about Padangbai.

Nice breakfast, nice room, nice pool, nice owners/staff. Absolutely nothing to complain about in regards to Alola Inn.

Padangbai used to be a hidden gem, now it's literally a transshipment point for the fast ferries as far as tourism goes. and about the only place in Bali where you truly get endlessly harassed by the local operators.

Incredible stay!

Super groovy and colorful place to stay, owners are lovely and give you great tips on where to go etc. is very close to town, white sand beach and blue lagoon for snorkeling. I would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast is delicious!

Cool place.

We like everything. Specially the nice evenings we spend with Marco the owner and the philosophical conversation we had with him.He is also a very good cook.The view from our room on the first floor was beautiful.Most people don't spend much time in Padangbai but its absolutely worthwhile spending a couple of days there if you want to experience the village atmosphere in Bali.

Room was small but comfortable and clean. Owner and staff were friendly and accommodating - they arranged an early breakfast for me to accommodate my early schedule. Pool was nice. Hot water in shower!

Could hear neighboring music until 11pm, but it was not loud. Water pressure in shower was very low, but it had hot water which was nice.

Alola Inn was clean, quiet and we were happy with the facilities for the price. Our host Marco could not be more helpful helping us organise the next leg of our trip to Gili islands. It was easy walking to the port, nice beaches/bars and restaurants. They also organised our airport pickup for a little bit extra. We would stay there again.

Top choice!

Super friendly and helpful personnel. We booked 1 room for 4 persons but when we arrived, they proposed to have a complementary room for free! Breakfast is good and when you're still hungry after you've eaten what you ordered, they just make you more. Free coffee, tea and water during your stay.

The staff are so helpful, and the location is perfect for jumping on the ferry. Beautiful colours and plants everywhere. Breakfast was included and delicious.

Quick and easy stay in Padangbai

Good little stay for Padangbai if you are getting the ferry. Easy to check in and you can walk to the fast boat ferry terminal (and the slow boat). They are able to source Bintangs for you!

Quite noisy during the night due to the slow boat - not the properties fault.

I arrived quite late in the evening and from the time I walked in I was met with welcoming smiles and shown to my room. the property is so colourful that it instantly makes you feel good. the owner and his nephew went out of their way to make sure I was able to get a ferry to Gili meno the following morning. Breakfast was cooked for me and was really great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay here we even went back after going to the Gili Islands. Airport pick up and drop off was so helpful! The food was great and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! We highly recommend staying here! Also a visit to Wayan bookshop up the road is well worth a visit!

The atmosphere at this hostel is amazing. Peacefull place, the room was clean and beds really comfortable. Lots of cats and kittis as well as dogs to keep you company. The staff is really amazing. The swimming pool was also very welcomed. I strongly recommand you to Book your stay at this hostel if you plan on visiting Padang Bai.
