Staff wonderful however I needed quieter place

Staff were friendly and happy to help in whatever way they could .

I didn’t realise two things when I booked firstly the noise from the very busy road out front , and secondly not ideal for solo travellers if there are groups staying there .

I would visit again, nice small resort, lovely helpful staff.

I loved the fact that it is right on the beach, I bit rocky but, a few short steps to the front of the next property is lovely sand. Most resort only have rocks as there waterfront. Pool close to beachfront - so lovely sea breeze while sitting by the pool - just lovely.

Location, location, location

This place is AMAZING! Right on the white sand beach with dozens of food options within walking distance. It is worth paying the extra $15 AUS per day for one of the two beachfront cottages. The other cottages (particularly at the beach side) are still great, but the two beachfront ones are SPECTACULAR

There is NOTHING, not to like apart from the classic Bali tiles

Ideal hotel to relax in

Perfect location right above the beach with plenty of sand & safe swimming at the bottom of the steps. Some nearby hotels have only water & rocks below. Wonderful views, nice pool with plenty of shade from gorgeous trees. Staff are very friendly & helpful but communication a bit hit & miss, for example they didn't offer to clean our rooms on the 1st morning until we asked and we weren't told until checkout time that we could've had free drinking water refills in our bottles the whole time. Definitely worth paying for the deluxe rooms as they are separate little cottages with patios, unlike the superior rooms. Most have sea views. The 2 'deluxe double rooms with balcony & sea view' are the cream of the crop, directly facing the sea with a large lawn area in front.

The cottages on the right side are beautifully light and airy with big windows, however it's not so good at night with the garden lights shining in through the non blockout curtains and the upper window has no curtain. The hot water in the shower was impossible to properly regulate, either burning hot or else cool. Surfaces weren't properly cleaned, my white sanitizing wipes became black, even on the bathroom shelf. No blanket on the bed but fortunately I had my own.

So relaxing!

The location is beautiful - on the beach and there are shops and moneychangers right in front. The is road is busy but you can't hear any traffic from inside - it's so well designed. The bungalow was so pretty and the perfect size and the bed was very comfortable The staff are lovely - they really look after you. Anything you need, just ask and they will help. Also, if someone comes to offer a snorkelling guided tour, say yes - it will be a local and they are great - ours was Nemo with a boat called "Dory and Nemo". Best snorkelling I've ever seen at Blue Lagoon and Nemo guided us to some beautiful spots and we saw 5 turtles!

It's beyond the control of the bungalows - the fact that walking anywhere is so difficult. There is no space between resorts and the water in many places so you have to walk on the road and there's no space for pedestrians on many parts of the road, which is why the traffic is so constant- no one walks anywhere, except us. Made me sad.

A perfect relaxing get away if you are looking for a simple, supported holiday.

The fact that it fronts onto the beach. Being able to have breakfast on the pool terrace overlooking the ocean each morning. The pool was great to cool off when one got overheated. Right in the centre of town meant you could walk outside and have great choice over meals to take. The staff were exceptional in their customer service. All of them made sure you were happy with all aspects of your stay.

My friend and my rooms were close to the front of the property and the traffic noise from the Main Street bothered me at night. Closer to the beach would have been quieter. We also had guests above us and had chairs scraping onto our ceilings late at night for a few nights.

Beautiful pool overlooking beach, staff very freindly, great massage lady who will massage on grass overlooking ocean.

On the top floor, not sound proof but hey if you been exploring all day you’ll crash out( we not use to traffic as live rural, but slept like a log)

lovely cute resort with the best staff!

this is a cute low key resort, that offers everything you need. staff is amazing, the view is gorgeous! the sea was very rough when we were here, but the pool is great. the cottages and the little terraces are super sweet.

beds are firm, daily new bottles with water would have been great. The powerpoint was not at the table with the kettle- but that was a minor inconvenience.

A bit of a let down

The room booked was close to the busy noisy main road through Candidasa. Even the staff said the rooms would be noisy. I chose to stay in a different room away from the road at extra cost. The room had been partially renovated. The bathroom new. The ceiling throughout was still the old dusty woven bamboo. The air-conditioning only recirculated the air. No cool air. Staff were not interested to fix despite being asked to fix. WiFi in the room was next to non existent. Breakfast was just okay. The swimming pool, looking out on the ocean was good.

Great little resort with amazing staff

Staff are amazing! We were so well looked after. We stayed in 4 other resorts in Bali before our 2 nights in Candidasa & Relax Beach Resort was definitely the best service. Cheap accommodation but a great spot overlooking the ocean and the pool was very close to our room. It was the perfect place to relax! Loved it. A special mention to Niloh who looked after us so well.

Pet friendly stay with friends

It was right on the beach. The staff was very friendly. We also booked massage and snorkeling trip. From the snorkeling trip it would have been enough 1 spot as the 2nd stop was more a diver spot than snorkel but in general still it was a fun activity. Rooms were clean and they are pet friendly. This was really important for us as we were travelling with our cat and dog. Breakfast was also good. We took the banana pancake option with fruit plates. Also their coffee is good both in size and quality. Highly recommend and we probably come back sometime in the future.

A Good Spot for A Short Stay

These are nice little bungalows and the all the staff were absolutely lovely. The pool seemed nice but it wasn't really swimming weather so we didn't try it out. The view out to sea was great. Breakfast was simple but pretty good and filling.

The bungalows are quite dark inside and the beds are pretty hard but for a night or two they are ok. Some bungalows had fridges, others didn't, and one shocked my friend every time she opened it so we were glad we didn't have one in our room. The place is very close to the main road but if you get the bungalows towards the front you can't really hear anything.

This place needs maintenance *really* badly, even for an inexpensive place. I did not like being charged an unpublished extra 3% to pay by credit card. Rules about doing so state that the vendor must publish this surcharge clearly up front which they and booking.com did not do. There is a true funky charm to the place that makes you more than likely to return and to forgive the following not working part of the time- hot water, not enough electricity to charge some computers, internet going down. But the people actually care; they simply dont have the money or a handyman in the family. the massage and snokeling guides that wander into the place are absolutely lovely. If you get the more expensive sea-view rooms in the front, i would try to bargain. The value is in the other rooms and the sea view price is too much for a place in such bad shape. Charming beach right in front. Nice pool. PETS WELCOME!! YAY!!

The room is dark. In the bathroom the ceiling and the bug net are worn down and therefore bugs come in easily
