Great location.
Checked in late but very helpful staff on phone and key left safe.
Nice comfy room and decent enough bathroom.
Parking nearby was cheap for 3 days we were there.
Nothing to mention here aside from a lack of facilities in the hotel (albeit some available in property opposite) that could have been explained a little better.

It’s close to the harbour. Very clean room. Recently refurbed to a good standard. Pleasantly furnished. Lovely wood floors. A view from my window of the sea and the harbour. Comfortable nights sleep. Lots of cafes and pubs nearby. Great place at start your walks. A real gem of a seaside hotel which was affordable. Parking is very close to hotel and not too expensive for the day. Free overnight 18:00-08:00.
Nothing.

Great location. Really clean and comfortable room.
Not many facilities available although I think they are building a sauna / spa which will be good

Good location and helpful staff
Too hot and a very small, basic room. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress was very dirty.
Not the hotels fault at all but the world’s noisiest seagulls from about 4am.

Very central location. New feel to the decoration and items in the room like iron, ironing board and fan. Heating worked well and plenty of hot water. Located right opposite what sounded a popular bar/pub. Chap on reception was helpful and accommodating. WiFi works just fine with a straight forward system to check in, find room a check out.
No complaints or problems; budget location for budget price. Does what it promises in the description.

Well equipped room. Lovely sea view from it. Very comfortable.

It all seemed very new, but only at first glance
The room was great - at first glance only. The bedding was dirty (especially the sheet under the pillow closer to the window and also the duvet cover had a hole. Also one of the towels was disgusting (it actually had a poo mark from a previous user). The bed was also very squeaky, when sitting down or turning over at night.
About the TV: first it would take forever for an update and then it wasn't possible to watch anything. When logged in to my subscriptions, all I would get was error codes or endless loading. Ended up streaming a film on the computer. A simple, old TV would have done a better job.
Also the shampoo supposedly available did not work and the toilet brush holder had rusted shut and the toilet brush was inaccessible.

The Harbour Lights was just what we needed walking along the coast path and needing a last minute room to hide from a storm. The room was reasonably cheap. There was lots of space including a bath. Lots of natural light and the bed was super comfy and everything was clean to a high standard. The reception is across the road in the pub which is a really cosy place to sit and also does breakfast (we didn't have it but im sure its really nice).
Everything is as you would expect.

The heating was on
The shower was hot
The bathroom was a reasonable size
Everything was clean
The room was a single with a double bed in it so extremely cramped.
The fittings were made of marine ply and more suited to a garden shed than a hotel room.
The bathroom towel rail was noisy and needed bleeding.

Room on top floor. Very clean although there was a terrible smell in bathroom when we got there but it disappeared later. Great views.of harbour and side sea view. There was tea and coffee.
The location was fantastic. We ended up booking an extra night.
Wasnt much room it had double bed and single for a twin room would of been better with 2 single. Would stay again but only in better room but not sure what other rooms are like. Rooms wasn't touched the whole time we was there i wasn't bothered but ran out of toilet paper which really should be checked. Takeaway we put in bag and left inside the door. It wasn't taken. And I had a box of tissue I used for toilet paper. So it didn't affect my stay. It did cost £45 for parking 3 nights.

Room 85 is the top floor with the bay window . You can just see the sea from the bed sitting on the right side . It is a pretty room with wood panel floor and lots of light . It is central and easy to get to the beautiful harbour . Bed was very comfortable. Can be a bit lively at night but you are in the centre of a thriving sea town. Breakfast is just across the road and you can sit in or outside with a view of the harbour here. Lovely friendly people. Breakfast is self service for cereals, toast and drinks and you can order cooked breakfast - brought to you - which was excellent and beautifully cooked. A great stay!
You just need to be aware that the shower sometimes turns suddenly very hot so take care. A notice may help people be aware. Also, note that there is no lift so it may be difficult for some to access this lovely third floor room.

Perfect location
What have you done to this hotel i have stayed here a couple of times and it was a lovely hotel it seems to me the new owners have just tried to get as many small rooms in as possible there is minimal room beds were uncomfortable bottom sheet didn't fit the bed so when you moved the sheet moved the pillows were paper thin and if the stairs got wet they would be dangerous being wooden bathroom you couldn't swing a cat in and I paid the same money the last time when the old owners were there oh and the floor had sand on which I wasn't impressed with it's more like a HMO KNOW cram as many as you can in on the cheap sorry to say I suppose if your young and you want a base after a night on the beer it's perfect but not for a 61year old that's for sure I won't be stopping there again I was very disappointed

Sadly there was nothing to like
The check in was OK, the actual person that checked is in was very friendly and helpful. Once we had entered the room it was disappointing. The room was very small and poorly laid out for a double with a table tucked up to a wall which reduced the amount of space making it impossible to walk around the bed along with a shelf on the other side of the bed There was only one cup but 2 plastic cups in the bathroom. The bin had not been emptied. The floor had lots of fluff and dust especially under the bed. The pillow cases were inside out and the bed sheet did not fit the bed. We arrived late at 2130 and after travelling for 12 hours just wanted to relax.

The first room is not suitable for elderly couples to the top floor, no lift. Alternative with lift and spacious Staff very helpful, professional friendly service .
Noisy Street, no air conditioning

The staff were super friendly, the room was nice, clean, spacious, lots of facilities. Shampoo, body wash, tea and coffee. Smart tv, sockets and USB Ports, fan, iron, ironing board, hair dryer everything you could need. The only downside was the bed was not comfortable at all. It was like sleeping on a bumpy rock and the room was super hot. Even with the window open and the fan on full, we didn’t sleep great due to the heat and uncomfortable bed
Clean, lots of facilities, location, added extras.

Great location to the quayside. Good value for money.
We were in room 80 on the 3rd floor. In the little hallway between our 2 bedrooms (once you were off the main hallway) there was an exceptionally bright automatic light on the ceiling with no way to manually turn it off. Incredibly annoying in the night when needing to go between the 2 bedrooms for the little-ys waking up or going to the toilet! Also, the TV remote didn't work and the shower temperature fluctuated during use.

Brilliant location, easy to find. Check-in and out were really easy and efficient. It was basic and clean, fresh towels each day.
The view from the room was amazing you could see out to sea!
The shower changed temperature whilst in use. This was difficult as I have a young child and the water would go extremely hot without warning. A small fridge in the room would have been really useful but wasn't the end of the world.

It was very easy to check in and out of the property. It was a little small but comfortable and very good value for the price. The location was great for exploring Ilfracombe.

Great location, very central to everything and there is a car park very close that is only £15 for 24hrs parking.
Room was small but had everything we needed and we had a lovely sea view.

Very convenient to local shops .
It can be a bit noisy at night due to it being next to a pub .

Nice location, however very loud surroundings. Couldn't sleep until mast midnight due to noise from the street.
Stuffy and cramped. Poor quality of bed mattress, no ventilation, hardly any hot water in the shower.

Great location
It was a long way to the top floor and the room was a little hot and stuffy! We were promised a fan but it never materialised!

Great location and good value for money having been recently refurbished
Brand new TV in room but it wasn't tuned into anything! Free WiFi, apparently, as no password was given for it anywhere in the property. Lastly toilet door in room doesn't lock!
