This is a lovely Guest House .Sharon and Daryl are exceptionally friendly and provide lots of advice on the local and surrounding area.The breakfasts are marvellous.we really enjoyed our week.👍

Wonderfully located just near the harbor with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, we got a solid start on the day with the delicious and hearty cooked to order breakfast. It's just steps to the South West Coastal Path for short or long hikes and a nice swimming beach close by. Since Ilfracombe was our first stop on our way south, the host provided an extensive list of places we might want to visit. We were able to find free on-street parking out in front both days we stayed, but the Collingdale's own spots are reasonable and convenient too. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the ensuite shower is quite small and hot water takes a long time to reach the upper floor. As I said—minor. I'd stay again, recommended!

Very friendly and warm guest house. Sharon, Daryl and Sue made us feel most welcome and they were accommodating to dietary needs. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options and plenty to eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Collingdale is exquisitely decorated with beautiful art pieces. Fantastic views of the harbour and Verity, st Nicholas’ chapel and sea.

Lovely stay, friendly host. Room dated but had everything you need. The bed was so comfortable it was a delight. Only issue was the parking and neighbouring properties are rundown, which is a real shame of such charming buildings from 1800s. Breakfast nice and well organised. Would stay again

Sharon is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. The property is lovely with lots of character. We had a beautiful sea view and our room was immaculate. Great choice of breakfast and very accomadating. The downside for us was that the evenings were noisy. There is a venue nearby that played loud music that spoilt our peace. There is alot of stairs in this property and we were at the top. Wouldn't be suitable for the unfit! Although definitely worth the climb as this is a very good value, comfortable stay that is on the doorstep of all what beautiful Ilfracombe has to offer.

This property was stunning, clearly well cared for by the lovely owners Sharon and Daryl. A proper period property and a place to stay since the late 1800s. Fantastic views, lovely comfy beds and pillows. The breakfasts were amazing and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Ilfracombe or as we did as a stay before heading to Lundy to dive.

Amazing! Sharon and Daryl are the perfect hosts and me and my partner feel right at home. Parking is very easy, you can park up just outside the hotel. When you go in, you're greeted by the hosts who are so friendly. They give you a welcome booklet which gives you all the details you need about the hotel, places to eat, things to do etc. which is perfect if you've never visited the area before. Our room was lovely, comfortable bed, great sea view, very convenient wardrobe and drawers. Tea and coffee with some biscuits that are replenished everyday:) Everything you can need! Breakfast is wonderful, they cater to any dietary requirement (2 veggies). Brilliant service, gorgeous food and divine coffee every morning. There is a longue area with a TV if you want to relax and there is also an honesty bar available which was a really nice touch. Only a couple of niggling points. The Wi-Fi was so-so (we were on the top floor so understandable) and the shower can be a bit noisy but you get use to it. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Great location. Short walk to the town. Very friendly owner who looked after us throughout our stay. Room 2 has a large bed. En suite and a small balcony overlooking the harbour and sea. The breakfast is fantstic. The communal rooms very well appointed.

Lovely guesthouse with lovely staff. Room was a bit too small for us, would have suited a single person more, but a nice room with great views nonetheless. Wouldn't book room 3 again as have to use a private toilet down a small set of stairs, first world problem I know but much prefer en-suite, especially early morning. Nice location but you need to be quite fit to climb the steep hill from the harbour and town, was okay for us but would be a challenge for the less mobile. Was no space for parking on road outside for the first couple of days, so had to pay for public parking at the bottom of the steep adjacent road. Was okay but you have to use Ringo if you don't have the change you need as there is no card option, and using Ringo was difficult as we couldn't get the App to work, or the phone number so had to go on their website in the end. It was the same for others parking at the same time.

We had the most amazing stay at the Collingdale. The location is ideal, short walk to the harbour, restaurants and pubs. We had the superior room and the seaview was beautiful. The guesthouse was very clean and had a lovely friendly feel to it. We were given a warm welcome, shown to our parking spot and helped with our luggage. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, everything was fresh and service brilliant. Sharon was very helpful before our stay recommending restaurants and when we were there she also recommended places to visit. There are two large reception rooms and a honesty bar which was well stocked and prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend this guesthouse and would 100% come back here if in area.

The guest house was stunning and with equally stunning views to match. Location was good too. The parking was slightly frustrating as if you can’t get a space outside the guesthouse itself (usually about 40 spaces) then you have to park nearby which can be a walk. Sharon and Daryl were absolute stars, food was amazing. Sadly even gave me and my husband a lift to Tunnels Beaches for a wedding when we couldn’t get a taxi. Would defiantly book again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Just had a wonderful stay at the Collingdale with my partner. Great location, 5 min walk to the harbour & town. The breakfast is 5 star & the brilliant local knowledge from Sharon is very useful if you are struggling to find things to do. Overall would definitely recommend.

We found our stay to be amazing. Warm welcome and covid safe, with clear information about breakfast and safety. Our room was fantastic with seaview. Restful night's sleep. Breakfast had a great selection and the full breakfast was so tasteful, loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Collingdale Guesthouse. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was perfection! Sharon and all the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent location and beautiful views. We also felt very comfortable in the current situation with hand sanitiser provided and face masks worn in all communal areas. All in all a very pleasant stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

My fiancé and I had a fantastic stay at the Collingdale last week. We looked at many Guest Houses before deciding on the Collingdale as it seemed to offer exactly what we wanted and was small and friendly. A great view of Ilfracombe Harbour, close to all of the restaurants and pubs and some great walks. Sharon was excellent at communicating with us before and during our stay and arranged most of our restaurant bookings for us, which was very much appreciated. The bedroom was very clean and cosy and had everything you could need in a B&B. Plenty of tea and coffee making essentials. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the boats coming and going in the harbour. We didn’t have any concerns staying there during the COVID crisis. The Collingdale coped with the new guidelines effectively whilst still making you feel very looked after. The breakfast options offered were top quality. We looked forward to our full cooked breakfast or Haddock and Kippers if we wished. We are always offered cereals, fruit and yoghurt though they weren’t necessary for us as the cooked breakfast was very substantial. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again when we return in the future and will be recommending the Collingdale to our guests when we get married at Tunnels Beaches next year, as it is only a short walk away.
