We won’t be back.

Nice breakfast, although hurried. Plates being taken away mid-meal

Room was smaller than the photos would suggest. The most disappointing thing was to be accused of leaving a window open in the room that let rain in - we did not and believe it was the staff who opened it as the day before we returned to the room to find the window wide open. Darren was quite accusatory in front of other guests too, we found this humiliating, unnecessary and rude.

I like everything about it. Gracious and thoughtful host ( Sharon ) / staff, great location, very clean, lovely award winning breakfast and a spacious parking area.

Absolutely exceptional in every way!

It was very clean, the staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful and all so cheery! The food was absolutely exceptional and honestly we did not want to leave! Very very sad to have cut our trip short due to our little boy being unwell back home. Would highly recommend to everyone visiting ilfracombe!

Great place to stay

Beautiful Victorian building, Lovely friendly host, great breakfast and lovely view from bedroom window.

The only negative was the separate toilet. Although private with our own key, it was inconvenient having to leave the bedroom, especially during the night. I also had a problem locking the door from the inside, couldn't turn the key, although it locks perfectly from outside. Had to get husband to wait outside and guard the door for me.

A lovely place to escape from your day to day.

We booked the smaller of the two balcony rooms. It was still spacious and comfortable. The view was amazing and it was just a 10 minute walk from Ilfracombe town. The hosts and all staff where so lovely and kind. Street parking of available and if not only a short walk to a paid parking area. Breakfast was also so delicious and totally customisable. It also felt very safe with cameras monitoring the front door- we took to waving hello and goodbye which caused some big laughs.

The décor was slightly outdated but that didn't really bother us.

Very enjoyable visit, a good introduction to Ilfracombe and the North Devon coast.

Welcome very good and friendly. Good public lounge and bar. Larger bedroom booked. On street parking used but private parking facility available at extra cost. Comprehensive breakfast cooked to order and very good. All staff team very hospitable.

Relaxed and comfortable

Really enjoyed the breakfast options. Lovely friendly and relaxed place to stay at. Felt very looked after and homely feel to Collingdale Guest House. Excellent location to everything and enjoyed a walk to an old mill for cream tea which was lovely. Hope to be back sometime!

First time in North Devon

Sharon and Daryl were super hosts great to chat to nothing was a problem. A mention for Sue, super wee lady, served us breakfast every morning. My wife and I enjoyed it very much, great place to chill, Sharon and Daryl were great for advice as to where great places to visit were. If we visit Ilfracombe again, we would definitely be back there.

Having been made more than welcome, this was complimented by cleanliness, comfort and great food.

Our hosts were fabulous, the staff fantastic as was the breakfast. We had an en-suite room (wooded view) which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All in all a great stay and we will return without question, thank you.

The icing on the cake would have been a sea-view, however we had plenty of those elsewhere in the property.
