My mum is disabled and uses a walker which I mentioned in my booking but we were put in a room which was down a flight of 5 stairs. This was both difficult and potentially terribly unsafe had there been an emergency. That said, when I pointed it out the Reception were very obliging and we had a lovely lady assist us with our departure the next day.

No frill

We were a little worried when we saw it from the outside. We need not have worried. You actually check in at the Royal Britania Hotel, which is about twenty yards away. Our room was not ready, so they gave us a larger room on the third floor. Yes, we thought that too, but there is a lift, so no drama there then with our luggage. The room was very spacious with everything you need and a king size bed that was very comfy. The room was also light and airy with three windows. The hotel is right in the middle of the harbour area, with car parks just a short walk away. I would recommend it for a couple like us, and in September, like we did. Im not sure you would find the parking as easy as it was for us, in the hight of the summer season. No frills it's all about the position.

The breakfast, which you have to go to the Britania for, was okay, we enjoyed ours but we were able to sit outside on the sun terrace overlooking the harbour.

No Breakfast. It is a separate building from the main hotel so nostaff to access re problems.

More comfy beds. I had to fold up my duvet to lie on it the matress was so uncomfortable. Comfy pillow. It was so bulky I had to lie on my towel.

The location was perfect for what we needed

The room was dated and the beds were very uncomfortable and towels were like sandpaper and small, overall okay the church clock chiming ever HR also didn't help with the sleep issue and only one fan in a 3 bedded room was disappointing

Great small hotel in a beatiful seaside town

Amazing location, very friendly and professional gentleman who gave us the keys and explained everything about our room. We didn't have any issues with parking our car instantly, in the public car park opposite the hotel. Hot shower with good pressure, big TV for the evenings and quick check out procedure.

The room needed just a bit more clean up (the floor in the bathroom was really dirty and we found black hair in bed linen and on pillows). It was just a minor inconvenience, so not really a big problem.

Not worth the money!

close to the centre

paid for a king room - very basic - bed creeked, very small room, en suite you could JUST fit in at a push. old windows that looks to be falling out. Not worth the money!! Have to walk to another office around the corner to get the key. Breakfast was offered across the road - we didn't bother as I didnt want to eat if the kitchen was as dirty as the bedroom.

Great location. Efficient hotel. Clean, tidy, practical, comfortable modern stuff to a high standard in an old building- great.

I suppose it seems a little anonymous because the reception is in a building over the road. But honestly that doesn't really matter. I noticed the toilet roll holder was in a slightly difficult position to reach –( but if that's the only thing that's wrong and everything else is right, it's a good place! )

Very cute and clean.

Very cute place , perfect location and lovely staff. We spent a long day out to come back and our bed was made, fresh cups , bins everything fresh for us , thank you . The place is so clean from the halls to our room , bed was so comfortable and so needed after all the walking we did . It took us 8 hours of driving to get here and I’m happy I booked it . Thanks again
