We stayed at The Earlsdale Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights and I can't recommend it highly enough. The proprietors, Lewis and Graham, were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation itself was beautifully decorated throughout with so much attention to detail and our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we could possibly need, I can thoroughly recommend the breakfasts (which are ordered the day before so that they are freshly prepared to your liking). The quality of the food and the choice available was excellent with the added bonus of freshly baked homemade cakes which were delicious. The location was perfect for our visit. I look forward to returning in the future.

It was ideal for attending an event at the Tunnels. The owners are very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.loved the decor and garden up the hill.

My top recommendation for Ilfracombe!

A really, lovely, genuine and honest place to stay. Lewis and Jamie obviously love running their bnb and this conveys through the beautiful decor, attention to detail and amazing food and service, absolutely faultless. It was a pleasure staying at The Earlsdale.

The place was 10 minute walk to the beach, Lewis was very friendly, helpful and accommodating and James is a really good cook. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing.

Lovely b and b in a nice location the hosts were lovely and helpful. Our room was decorated nicely. The honesty bar downstairs was a nice addition. The bed was comfy and room clean. Breakfast was particularly amazing thanks James and Lewis we enjoyed our stay

If being picky our room had a tiny bathroom with a shower curtain which is a personal dislike but its a beautiful house and would be difficult to change. Would book a different room next time to suit our personal taste doesn't put me off re-booking

The hotel really is 100%. we booked off reviews and it was excellent. Owners very nice and helpful people. You can see just how much effort they have put in with this hotel as soon as you walk in front door.

The property was located well just a short drive to the front. Clean and tidy and very comfortable. We was made to feel at home which is a special feeling when your away. As for James and Lewis they where brilliant hosts and I thank them for there service and welcoming.

The property was fabulous, our room was very stylish with modern fittings while keeping the old world charm. They were well equipped and very clean. The included breakfast was exceptional with a home cooked meal from James each morning. Also included was free parking for our car.

Our room was spacious, with high ceilings and beautiful bay window seating, the ideal spot to relax. The thoughtful touches made all the difference: a selection of teas and coffee, your preferred milk offered to you on arrival, and freshly baked vegan cookies that were absolutely delicious. Every element of our stay felt carefully curated with both comfort and sustainability in mind. From eco-friendly soaps and tissues to the inclusion of cotton balls and buds in the bathroom, it’s clear that nothing is overlooked here. They truly go above and beyond to offer an exceptional standard of service. We especially appreciated the extra conveniences like accessible plug sockets by the bed and the mirror, so useful for charging devices and getting ready without hassle. The bed itself was huge and incredibly comfortable. The honesty bar adds a relaxed, at-home feel with drinks available whenever you need, and there’s a lovely collection of books and DVDs to borrow if you fancy a cosy evening in. Breakfast was another highlight: freshly cooked to order with an impressive selection of home-baked vegan treats. If you’re looking for a luxury BnB near Ilfracombe that delivers on comfort, style, and thoughtful hospitality, this is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Overall, everything was exceptional.The only small area for improvement would be the shower water pressure, it just wasn’t strong enough for me to wash my long, thick hair. It’s something that’s helpful to know in advance, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the experience. Everything else was so amazing that this felt minor in comparison. .

This hotel is easily one of the best we have ever stayed in. Beautiful hotel, classy in its furnishings. Wonderful bedroom with high standards of cleanliness. Breakfast was gorgeous every morning and offered many different options. Customer service second to none. Hosts could simply not do enough for us. Welcoming, friendly and approachable. Put quite simply there were not any negatives from our six night stay. Hosts should be extremely proud of the service they provide and the effort they put in is clear to see. Top notch. Wonderful memories made.

From the warm welcome received upon arrival to the fond farewell at departure, the entire stay was faultless We had afternoon tea which was sublime, as was breakfast, really, genuinely can't say a bad thing about our stay I particularly like the way Lewis and James make it as sustainable as possible which can't be easy in their line of work Also the vegan and vegetarian options were excellent

Loved the building, our room was clean comfy and well finished . breakfast was lovely even tho there was a power cut still no issues . I didn’t have to pay for my beer due to power cut which was very nice !! V welcoming and helpful would stay again if back in Ilfracombe.

James and Lewis were wonderful hosts, made me feel immediately welcome and James’ cooking was amazing. The room was comfortable and perfect for what I needed and the location was great for me to amble to the harbour and shops. I would absolutely stay here again, as a solo female it felt safe and comfortable so would recommend.
