Convenient location for our plans.
The leisure facilities were open until late evening. & the property was warm. The receptionist was very polite and informative and was greeted with a friendly, happy spirit.
The walls had evidence of damp running down them, Tiles missing from jacuzzi which was rather off putting and refrained from using. we had a 1st floor bedroom and the floor boards were extremely squeaky which were frustrating. Overall the property is crying out for investment/refurbishment Sunday morning breakfast the waitress was extremely abrupt and had an attitude like she didn’t want to be there, she wasn’t very welcoming!.

Disappointed
The location is beautiful, and I loved that we had a riverside room.
We paid for a superior room, when we arrived it looked lovely, but that soon changed on closer inspection. Our queen size bed was just 2 single beds pushed together, the mattresses we so soft you could feel every spring. In the bathroom there was marks on the shower curtain, the shower curtain pole was full of rust and all in all the bathroom needed resealing. There was mould all around the window and on the net curtains, and the room was very drafty, the windows definitely needed replacing. We used the swimming pool, but didn't stay in there long as the walls of the pool were filthy.

Disappointing - Looks like cost cutting measures have been implemented to detriment of guests.
Lovely location. Comfortable bed. Staff friendly and apologetic when complaints raised.
Hotel needs updating. Some areas scruffy and tired. Executive suite very basic. One small shower gel provided - had to ask for more. No longer robes or slippers in rooms unless spa treatment booked. Generally not worth the money. Restaurant very disappointing. Had been told we could have a light lunch /snack on Sunday but when we arrived we were told only Sunday lunch available. Asked for a sandwich or similar but were told this was not possible and were offered starters from main menu. Have stayed and eaten here several times before but standard of food and value for money has gone down.

Fantastic evening meal, good spa facilities, nice location
Evening meal was excellent - both the food and the serving staff. The evening meal was the best thing about my stay. The spa was nice, and it wasn’t too busy. Pool was more than adequate and was a good temperature. Sauna, steam room, and hot tub were good.
Room was a bit lacking, especially the bathroom, which needed a repaint and would have benefitted from a proper shower. Bar area felt rather dated, but the food and staff more than made up for this, on balance.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was excellent.
Bathroom in poor condition. Shower cubicle very small and dirty with mould. Apartment very stuffy. Very basic furniture. TV in the sitting area was not working. Black spots on the duvet cover.
