Short stay to see family in Brecon and Crickhowel

Our hosts were charming and couln't have been more helpful. The house was warm and beautifully furnished and our room was comfy with a smart en suite shower room. We were visiting family in Brecon and were given our own key to get in with, which meant that we could relax even if we were late back (which we weren't!). Breakfast was included and was tasty and locally produced. The Clarence pub next door was recommended to us and we spent a very pleasant evening in there with good food and drinks and very friendly staff. The on site parking was extremely convenient, we didn't use the car the whole 21/2 days we were staying. All in all, a tremendous base from which to spend time exploring Brecon town, and it would also work extremely well if you were venturing further afield.

Very good location for activities in the area. A choice of good restaurants /pubs within a five mile radius . We found a great tapas bar and gin house within a short walk of our accommodation The Hop Inn . Friendly , helpful staff and good food . Gets busy at peak times so advisable to book in advance .

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful & well pampered!

The Grange is a very beautiful building from the outside & the inside didn't disappoint! Its beautifully decorated everywhere The location was perfect, as we came mainly for the County Show & couldn't have gotten much closer! The breakfast was excellent & we were given options to have various different choices on both mornings! Both breakfasts were very well cooked & delicious 😋 We were asked both times if we wanted anything more! The room was spacious & spotlessly clean, with a Super King Size bed as requested! There were also extra pillows & blankets if needed! The Ensuite bathroom was quite big-again spotless & there were little extras that went above & beyond, like make up removing pads, cotton buds & sanitary bags! And 2 things that we've never been supplied with before, which for me is a must (I usually bring my own) is Bleach & Air Freshner Hosts David & Kathleen are lovely-very friendly & welcoming! David came out to the car as we arrived, to greet us & there were ample parking spaces, which is one of the main reasons I chose The Grange! The room was well stocked with teas & coffees & milk kept in a fridge for us to help ourselves, with small jugs provided! We will definitely return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We LOVED it!! 😍

Great Hosts. Good Value. Nice location. Easy Breezy Stay in Brecon.

Wonderful, friendly hosts who go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need. Convenient parking. Located in the center of town, the B&B is very convenient to explore Brecon and serve as a base for the wider region. Nice outside back courtyard you can enjoy. Hosts local tips of to-dos is on point. Highly recommend if you are planning to go to Wales.

Everything was as expected. You can hear some street noise or the pub across the street when your windows are open... nothing unexpected.

What a lovely stay in a perfect B&B

Our room was just what we wanted , lovely and spacious, with very lovely staff. Parking was also on premises which made it so much easier. Perfect position with only few minutes walk to the shops and canal.

Fabulous guest house a short walk away from Brecon town centre.

An exceptional guest house in a perfect location in Brecon. Very comfortable and well appointed. The attention to detail is impressive - for example the milk kept in the fridge for tea/coffee. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the use of pre-ordering meant you got exactly what you wanted freshly cooked. Parking close to the town centre was a bonus.

SUPER STAY!

We loved everything of this place! Kind people, delicious breakfast, beautiful house and nice and clean room. There is also a fridge with jugs of milk (even not diary if you ask) to bring up to your room. David and his wife (sorry, I do not remember the name) are really great people and gave us a lot of very helpful suggestions to visit the area. For sure I would come back here and suggest this Guest House to everyone.

B&B with 5 star feeling

David and Kathleen are the perfect hosts and very welcoming. You will get a 5 star service from them as they are very attentative. We stayed in room 4 (double room) which was very spacious and comfortable. Even the bathroom was spacious in comparison to some other B&B we stayed at. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic as you have a wide variety of choices in addition to the traditional full English breakfast. From jogurt, porridge to cereal and even fresh fruits (blueberries, strawberries and bananas) were available. The sausages and bacon come from the local butcher and are very delicious. The location is also very convenient to walk into Brecon or explore Brecon Beacons. David is very knowledgeable and can recommend walks, dining options or where to get the best beer and gin nearby. He also has a lovely personality and will surely bring a smile to your face. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Grange Guest House.

The Grange Guest House is a very lovely and cosy place. You can notice how much care they put into arranging the place: the names of the rooms, the books shelves in the corridors etc. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, they gave us a lot of tips on where to eat, what to do around Brecon (during the storm was a bit of a challenge) and helped us dealing with drenched hiking boots after a day in the rain. The room was spacious and very clean. The nice breakfast was all we needed to start the day in a good mood. We had a lovely time!

The room was a bit cold the first day but then we found the electric heater available in the cupboard so it was all good again.

Absolutely delightful bed and breakfast in Brecon. The hosts David and Kathleen were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - David provided great recommendations for things to do in Brecon and places to eat, all of which were great. Breakfast was tasty. The room was cozy with a great, large bathroom. Great location to explore the town of Brecon and the nearby national park.
