A one day stop over

A lovely family hotel run by friendly people, attentive and English speaking Modern, clean and well provided rooms. The bar was closed as it was Monday so we had to check in a little way up the road at Hotel Brasserie de Kaai, also owned by the same family, but this was not a problem it took a couple of minutes to walk there. The bar where we were staying has a lovely outdoor area and overlookes a marina area just across the road. We had a comfortable stay in a twin bedded room. Fridge, cups, plates and kettle etc were all provided.. along with TV and WiFi. We were able to get a meal and something to drink at the Hotel Brasserie de Kaai. Lovely fresh food, tasty and well presented. There is a couple of vegetarian options on the menu. It felt very safe walking around the town. To take full advantage of this small tranquil town plan to go there on days other than Monday. I would happily return to this hotel approximately an hour and a half from Rotterdam.I

Absolutely nothing to dislike! 😃 Our timing meant we missed the opportunity to take advantage of the bar facilities, our bad luck.

We are walking the Floris V-pad and Hotel DOK was right on our route. This does not always happen.

Pleasant stay for a good price

Property is at the city centre, all shops you need is around. Breakfast is not too big but still has variety foods to choose from. Had dinner at the restaurant, during corona virus it’s still open for hotel guests ,menu is not big but food is high quality, highly recommend beef steak. Atmosphere is very cosy and staff was friendly. Good shower pressure and air conditioning in the room.

Had a stay in De Wallevis but when I came there place was closed only because I met a chef of the restaurant that works there I knew where to go cause I didn’t receive any explanations or directions to go to different hotel - Brasserie de Kai. Everything was fine but they could have at least leave a note on the Wallevis door that it’s on restoration work and you have to go to Brasserie de Kai cause else I probably would have been waiting there for a long time.

Goedgelegen hotel, niet ver van het centrum.

Onze kamer was zeer ruim en aan de straatzijde gelegen, maar dit vormde geen probleem. De badkamer was netjes. We waren op een maandag in het hotel en dit was normaal sluitingsdag, daarom werd het ontbijt geserveerd in een bevriend hotel 100m verderop.

Het ontbijt had voor ons iets uitgebreider gemogen.

SLECHT

Ontvangst was slecht. Geen receptie en de deur was nog op slot. Men deelde mede E dat het gesloten was. Wij moesten zelf zeggen dat we daar kwamen slapen. Toen veranderd e de situatie, er was geen ontbijt. Moesten naar de buren. Om 1700 uur kon je terecht voor versnaperingen. Als je dan elders bent, blijf je daar ook voor maaltijd. De dag erop gesloten. Ene de dag daarop zijn wij weer weg gegaan. Zeer gevaarlijke trap, voor mensen slecht ter been. Te stijl. Er zou lift moeten zijn.

te steile trap. Geen lift. Bedden staan verkeerd .kwartslag draaien dan loop je niet steeds tegen schuin dak. geen ontbijt.
