Hotel Grifoni

Location was good but a bit hard to find, good that there was a little supermarket very close. Air con was worked well. Shutters were great for sleeping and keeping out the light. Luggage storage was good, plenty towels, loads of toilet paper. Nice coffee machine used pods. Shower was decent and no leaks, nice shower gels. Very clear and detailed instructions to get into the property by text.

Could do with a better signage outside property. No Surfaces in bedroom or bathroom to put items to get ready. Air-con was a bit smelly. Bit of mould on wallpaper behind main bed. No milk or cups to have coffee or tea just small espresso paper cups. No bin in main room only one small bin in bathroom.

Well located, roomy rooms and very clean. Near public transport docks. About mid way between rialto bridge and the train station.

No fridge in room.

I loved the location as it is close to the train station. It is also in a less busy part of Venice. The shops, restaurants and general vibe is less touristy. I love that you can store your luggage and they thoughtfully included a toilet in the luggage room. The rooms are new and spotless, big bathroom and comfy beds. They are very responsive, there is no front desk, it operates as more of an Air bb.

The self-service luggage drop was convenient.

No one actually works at the hotel, except housekeeping. We stayed there in early May. It was warm and the A/C did not work. Housekeeping informed us they do not turn on the A/C until May 15th, so we had to sleep with the windows open. There was a constant flow of noisy foot traffic on the street until about 2:00 am. There is a small market across the street, and the vendors started making deliveries early in the morning, so it was difficult to sleep. We turned on the TV to help drown out the noise, but Italian and Greek were the only language options available.
