The accommodation included a private bathroom, however we did not realise at the time of booking that it was adjacent to the room and not located as a en-suite. This meant leaving our room and possibly disturbing other guests early/late in the day. This may not apply to the other rooms available.

I have mixed feelings about it. It should have had bathroom in the room for that price

The location was pretty good, kind of in the middle of everything. An easy way to access it

The fact that the bathroom was going through the front desk/main lobby in towel or going the bathroom in the middle of the night. It should be clearly stated what and where it is. Another thing is for an hour early check in we were charged 10euro. That should also should be stated ahead of time. The communication was a little wobbly(two different people) on different channels (whatsapp and booking) Also the pillows were the most uncomfortable pillows ever.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

It was very clean and the room was very big

First night when we were sleeping, the AC was turned off after 1 hour. we had to get up from our sleep and go infront of the ac to turn it on again since the remote did not work from the bed. either i or my friend had to get up every hour to repeat this. it was end of june and very hot. it was impossible to sleep. after a slepless night we told to facility, she said she will send someone to fix it. person came and said just keep it at 19 degrees and it won't turn off. so that night we did so, it turned off again. we texted the facility again and she said we will send a technician. 3rd night, nothing changed. so we could not sleep at all during the night in this hotel. it was horrible. the facility offered a bottle of proseco as apology. we did not accept it. Bathroom had no air in it, it smeled moldy. we could not leave the door open either bcs it was outside of our room and it was our private bathroom. And shower door had rusty nails poking out from the door which is VERY DANGEROUS. I am sure it is against regulations. it is a thread to human health. Last but not least, the morning before checkout time, my friend was alone in the hotel and when she was in the toilet, strangers BROKE IN to our room. my friend did not know who they are and chased them out from the room. when we asked to the hotel how can this be? they said "oh sorry that should not happen. i will figure out what happened" but they never did. never told us how such thing can happen.

It had a very comfortable bed. The location was close to the train station and major destinations. The owner answered all of my questions including where to get a good gondola ride. Would recommend!

Lovely stay, great location

We loved the location - outside of the busiest touristy area, and still with everything we wanted to visit in walking distance. This is a beautiful place, with lots of room and we had a lovely stay. Plus, it was also nice to have free tea, coffee & cookies :)

Great location, light clean, plus a friendly welcome

Excellent location 15mins walk from train station. Clean, light spacious room (we had the triple room) lovely rooftops view. Tea and coffee available in the shared lobby area. Staff very welcoming.

Our room opened so that anyone on the lobby could see into the bedroom, also no door between main bedroom and smaller side bedroom. Shower basic but working, same for hairdryer.

Perfect spot for Venice adventures

Perfect apartment, lovely quiet spot only a stones throw from all the hubbub of Venice. The rooms were huge, comfy beds, lovely big bathroom. There is a really nice communal waiting area with tea/coffee/water/microwave which was a great touch. Internet was speedy, communication with the host was also really prompt. The price we paid for the facilities provided was excellent value. Simple check in and out.

Lovely little hotel! Excellent location right by Chiesa San Polo. Easy to find and had everything we needed, spacious and well appointed. Anne was very helpful. Coffee and tea facilities provided, as well as a mini bar should you need anything.

Would not stay there again

- the location was great and flat was good size

- it was cold in the flat (20 degrees) and because of humidity in Venice you feel cold much more. We asked the property manager to make it warmer and Anna said she did it but nothing changed so we were feeling cold all the time - the sofa in the living room is slightly broken so we had to wait for next day for cleaning lady to come and do the bed. Also, the flat looks older than sparkling pictures which were photoshopped. We were a bit disappointed for pics vs reality

Very clean and well-equipped room, perfect for a few days stay. We asked if it is possible to have an earlier check-in and they were very flexible with it. The apatment is about 12-15 minutes from the sights, which was fine for us.

Overall good

The location was perfect, away from the busy tourist areas yet close enough to restaurants and the supermarket. The room was spacious and comfortable. It has air conditioning which was great in the summer heat. There are windows with mosquito nets, which was also nice. The building is great and there are lifts for easy access. It was a nice stay for us as a family.

We chose the option of a bathroom outside the room as it was the only one available. However, this did not suit us as a family as the kids needed the bathroom often. The shower is tiny in this outdoor bathroom and the water fluctuated between hot and cold, which was not nice. We spent 4 nights there but our room was never cleaned so there was a build up of dust on the wooden floor. The cleaner was around cleaning other rooms but she just never cleaned ours or made the beds which was disappointing. Our towels were never replaced so they were damp over use the 4 nights we were there. I think the housekeeping part needs attention. When we checked out and returned to collect our bags, my kids were desperate to use the toilet and the cleaner refused so we collected our bags and went to a bar to use the toilet. Other than, the housekeeping/cleaning lady aspect, it was a good and comfortable stay.

Nicely decorated

Funny smell which was they were trying to cover up with air fresheners. We didn’t stay as Venice wasn’t safe, people tried to steal our bag. Originally booked 2 nights, left after one to which the host borderline harassed us to cancel the second night via booking and then WhatsApp, I assume so she could get a rebooking. After contacting booking and them saying to cancel send night we would have to get our money book she soon stopped. No need for hosts behaviour. Also room is in residential building and is very dark. Lift only holds 2 people which means multiple trips with luggage, there is a gauge if it’s too heavy to move.

Very safe, comfortable and convenient

This hotel is WONDERFUL! The host is fabulous. She was very kind and approachable. She provided us with many restaurant and entertainment recommendations around the city. The hotel lobby area had a coffee bar with a fridge full of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages available for purchase. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Our room overlooked the canal and rooftops for a beautiful sunset. I would recommend this hotel and very much enjoyed our stay.

I didn’t feel all that welcome by the owner to be honest. I felt there were a lot of “NO”. Like warnings about the AC and toilet etc… “Just touch the on/off button on the AC remote or you might damage it.” Or “our plumbing is very sensitive “. I travel a LOT and this is one place i wouldn’t choose again. Sorry. I hate saying negative things but…

Ai Sogni was a lovely place to stay. Quiet and peaceful--a real oasis of calm amongst the frenetic clamor and crowds of Venice in summer. It was a bit hard to find, secluded on a narrow medieval street off a mostly residential square --but worth the effort. Anna gives good instructions if you remember to follow them (rather than relying on gps which will send you around in circles). But it is quite close to the major sites, without being in tourist central. If you want a tourist hotel with 24/7 service, this is not your place. But if you want to get away from the crush and enjoy some quiet at the end of a long day, this is perfect. There are only four rooms (each with bathroom) arranged around the lobby, elegantly furnished, clean, and comfortable. Anna made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She had suggestions for dining, but in the end we just walked our tired feet across the square and had a leisurely dinner in an uncrowded trattoria. It was a refreshing stay.

We wish we had found it earlier and could have stayed there longer.
