Perfect location & Perfect host

The location was perfect: despite being close to everything - literally - it was very quiet. The room was simple but big and quite luminous as it is in a high floor and has two windows. It had everything one could possibly need: plenty of closet space, a small but functional and fully equipped kitchen, a proper dining table and chairs and even a washing machine). The shower is small and might be a squeeze for big fellas but is otherwise fine. The bathroom itself was damp most of the time but that is to be expected in Venice. The host was probably the most helpful and likeable guy you will ever meet. He greeted us at the vaporetto station despite our late arrival, gave us practical advice, volunteered information which proved very valuable and even received us in his apartment which was adjacent to the room.

The only reason why our fantastic host Giorgio is not getting a straight 10 is the price. At about 170 Euro per night (roughly the price of a 4 star hotel in New York at the same season), one expects accommodation to be slightly more upscale (not luxurious, but more upscale).

Perfect place to stay in Venice

This was such a great place to stay! There was a lovely, very generous breakfast provided, the room was a good size and spotlessly clean, and the location was perfect! Only ten minutes to st Mark’s, but also very close to the water bus stop, making it easy to travel around Venice. The best part however was our gracious host Giorgio, who went above and beyond. He was very communicative and helpful, even sitting down with us and giving us a map of the city and restaurant recommendations (which were very good). I couldn’t recommend enough!

I couldn't imagine greater hospitality and kindness. As long as I've been there, I felt like at home, but with full privacy. Thank you for your help Giorgio - you helped me even with difficult things, you literally saved my life (and trip back home) :)

Perfect in every way!

This is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed! It was a little tricky to find (Google Maps really does not work in Venice, so make sure to follow the host's directions!), but wow, once I arrived it was heaven. Everything was flawless and perfect. Giorgio is a dream host, the room (studio) was flawless, the fridge was stocked to the brim with delicious breakfast food. 10 stars without a doubt!

The owner, Georgio, was extremely inviting and helpful. We are vegan and he gladly provided us with vegan breakfast ingredients and lots of it! The studio was spotless and the kitchenette extremely well equipped. The location is excellent and so were Georgio’s directions on how to get to the property by valporetto (public water transportation) from the train station.

B&B Santo Stefano is a great place to stay in Venice. Giorgio will welcome you cordially, will be your neighbor and will come to help, as well as give tips on local cuisine. The location is very convenient, close to the Dorsoduro district, 15-20 minutes to Piazzale Roma, as well as all the sights of Venice within walking distance. A wonderful idea with a small kitchen where you yourself can cook any breakfast. Breakfast products are updated every day. If you have few groceries, the Punto Simply grocery store is nearby. Also every day cleanliness in the apartment is maintained. P.S And never forget the aqua alta in Venice. You can monitor the water level on the website:

Todo!! No sabría que destacar... La ubicación increible, la habitación maravillosa. Es mucho mejor de lo que esperebamos. Limpieza diaria, cambio de sabanas y toallas cada 3 días y desayuno super completo (fiambre, huevos, lacteos, bolleria, mermelada, mantequilla, pan,etc...) Hasta una tarta típica de Venecia. Lo reponen todo a diario para que lo puedas preparar a tu gusto. Y que decir de los anfitriones, nos han ayudado en todo, siempre dispuestos y pendientes de nuestras necesidades. Sin palabras! Hemos estado como en casa!! Gracias Giorgio y
