This house could be absolutely lovely. But the host isn't responding to poor reviews.

The location is very convenient for the town centre.

The beds, particularly the two singles were so uncomfortable that it was impossible to sleep. The beds had very old sprung mattresses. The light in the bathroom was not working, a real problem particularly with dark nights from 4.00pm. No hot water to bathroom sink. Parking cost nearly £30 for 48 hours in the nearest car park. TV remote controls not working. The host came by and requested we clear up dog mess in the back yard which had been there for a very short time on the first day of our stay even though we would have done before we left.

Paul is a lovely host, the location is excellent, the house is in need of some serious TLC,

The location was excellent the house could be super cosy

The beds especially the single ones are so uncomfortable to the fact 2 of us had to sleep on top of the quilt to get some cushioning, the cottage could be great with some money spent on it. Just a few hundred would sort it all out.

Has potential

I liked all the property Has great potential where improvement is needed Ie needs an updated bathroom suite But is functional n clean just tired Finishing touches ie trims on flooring Bedrooms are great you can see it’s refreshed etc Back garden patio needs a good jet wash n repaint N new table n chairs x But it’s functional needs attention Kitchen is great has all you need Windows need cleaning on the outside as were dirty x I paid £300 Monday to Friday which is a fair price fr this property as improvements are needed n is work in progress I will stay again But I feel I’d book the other properties that are available as you can see in pics that two of the other properties have been updated and have that more luxury feel to it

Good location for town centre access but issues with amenities.

Location was excellent. Communication with the host was easy and fast. Space in the property was good for a short stay.

Shower was not useable - either scolding hot or freezing cold. No information was given for how to use the amenities (tvs, heating etc). Quite noisy on the main road. Blinds did not keep the light out in the bedrooms. Parking was a 5 min walk away but we had 3 kids, a suitcase and multiple bags and there is nowhere outside to park temporarily to unload, so it made it quite tricky.

Happy choice for the family!

Clean, well-presented throughout, and was perfect for the four of us! Being in the center of town made it super easy to get around. Easy check-in and we were able to park nearby!

The location was excellent, owner response very Quick, beds comfortable parking instructions fab We could park so close to property. Owners access instructions great. TV in both bedrooms and Netflix available in lounge .

Just lacked a bit of tlc , would have been nice if they had left some milk as most places do. A couple of coat pegs in the hall would be useful.

The cottage was in walking distance to all the main attractions. It was very well presented and cleaned to a high standard. We loved the quirky artwork. Beds were very comfortable and so we had a great nights sleep. Free parking was a bonus! Will book again!

We had couldn't locate the lockbox when we first arrived as it was dark but to be honest we called the owner and this was sorted out immediately.

Comfy cottage in an incredible location

If you could 10 out of 5 for location, then I would! Edwards Cottage is within a 5-10 minute walk of any of Stratford's main attractions. The RSC, fantastic restaurants and many other Shakespearean visitors attractions are very close by. The cottage has comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, dining room and comfortable living room. A parking permit was provided, plus there is ample parking nearby.

The stairs are narrow and quite steep - they might pose a problem for some guests. It would be helpful to have more places to hang clothes and towels. There is a wardrobe in the twin room, and a chest of drawers in the master. The bathroom had no lock or towel rail beside the sink (although you can hang towels on the radiator or back of the door). A few more sockets or extension would be helpful in the living room/dining room if guests need to charge phones or use laptops, etc.
