I feel renewed and revitalised after staying at Ruth’s retreat.

Absolutely everything. A stunning place to unwind, be with nature and replenish mind, body and soul. Gorgeous clean and comfortable cabin, the hosts were so helpful and friendly and the hot tub was the best I’ve ever encountered. Fell in love with the donkey! I’ll be going back soon!

Excellent location in a nice cabin, albeit missing some of the finer touches

Excellent location, with great views; nice walks around, too. About 20min drive to Shrewsbury, where there are lots of cafés, restaurants and shops; ample parking, too. All standard kitchen facilities—even a freezer. Hosts were very friendly, but not interfering/too involved. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay

Mattress was a bit uncomfortable; we both felt a bit achy the first morning. Some of the finer touches were missing, such as no toiletries; tea, coffee and cereal were provided, but no milk. A few other small things, all easy to correct. Regardless, it didn't stop us from having a great time

Great getaway with a lovely hot tub - perfect for couples.

The cabin was far more spacious than expected - we were greeted by Ruth who was most welcoming. The whole place was very clean, and the hot tub was lovely. Can't recommend staying here enough - we will certainly be returning. Thank you Ruth :)

Perfect property for a relaxed break

Our stay at this property was great. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who was very helpful and recommended local places for food as well as taxi services for getting into town. She also made herself readily available for any questions whilst not imposing on our stay. The property itself was also amazing, it had everything you could need for a relaxed stay away (board games, movies, hot tub). There wasn’t anything additional that we needed during our stay. The location is remote however it is only a 15 minute drive/taxi journey into the centre of Shrewsbury so it is great for a quiet stay whilst having the option of restaurants and shops if wanted.

Perfect relaxing, romantic getaway.

An absolutely incredible stay at Ruths retreat. The accommodation has everything you need and is spotless. Ruth and Dean are the perfect hosts. We have come away feeling so relaxed, the hot tub and the views blew us away. This is our third stay here and is somewhere we will come back to again and again.

I loved how it was located with a perfect view of the Shropshire hills and local farm life. I liked how big and homely the lodge was, how it was so modern inside! We want to live in one ourselves. We loved the hot tub located outside. I loved waking up to the family horses playing in the field. it was just amazing. Nothing better than ending the day relaxed. Ruth is a really lovely woman. we would love to come back again.

Peaceful and a unique outstanding property , with a welcoming owner pure luxury from start to finish.

Ruth was very accommodating, friendly and willing to go above and beyond for us . The settings were beautiful, peaceful , very well maintained - The Retreat was exceptionally clean and had all the essentials you could need it really is a beautiful property . Hot tub was fantastic it’s large and was ready to use straight away , added extras were Ruth had assembled a Christmas tree and tasteful decorations and put the heating on ready for our arrival with made the arrival 10/10 so snug and welcoming.
