Seemed like a good location but too many concerns about security to use it again

Electronic entry near station

Door had been forced before so security was not great. There was no table to work at. The windows had drafts and there was a lot of traffic noise. Furniture had seen better days when I got to the airport on Monday my bags tested positive for drugs

Deep Clean and maintenance required for these apartments

Unfortunately, the apartments booked were not in a clean or liveable state, after speaking to the apartment host we checked out after 2 days and found alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay

The worst place I have ever stayed in and I have travelled the world .

N/A for breakfast. And had it been an option I wouldn't eat in that Cesspit. The place was filthy. Stank when you entered main lobby. Had to use a Keypad code to enter the building but weirdly there was an unlocked back door giving free entry to all and sundry. Smoke detector in a communal hallway beeped incessantly hoping, foolishly, to have it's batteries changed.Random puddles of unidentifiable fluids in the hall/stairwell. Had to wait to access my "apartment" until the cleaner "was finished". Finished ? Finished doing what? There were skid marks in the toilet. Hair on the bathroom floor and shower base. Disgusting black mould and scum around the base of the shower. I wrapped the provided towels around the pillow because I genuinely feared I would get lice. The provided glassware, crockery, utensils had to be scrubbed before they could be used. The smoke detectors in the Lounge/ Kitchen area were wrapped and sealed in yellow sticky tape negating their purpose. For your relaxation and comfort you had an unyielding cracked Faux leather couch with broken armrest. You could have any temperature shower you desired as long as it was boiling hot or freezing cold. The floors were sticky and dirty. When I was finally given the go ahead to enter the "apartment" the door unlock code didn't work. Had to wait for the 'cleaner' to come and re programme the code. Thankfully I only had to book for one night. I think I read somewhere that some poor bastard booked for a week. You poor thing.

Very disappointing, yet this location could be splendid.

I need to set this review in context. My original booking was for a week, Wed to Wed. On the day I was to take it up, a message came to say the booking was cancelled because of a water pipe burst. I negotiated to take up the booking two days later, but I don't know if this gave sufficient time to fully prepare the apartment for me. "Train Station Apartments" is part of the Rail House office block where I once worked, hence my interest in sampling the accommodation. I found the original conversion was to a high standard, plenty of space and a neatly arranged shower room and kitchenette. The location is ideal for anyone making a railway holiday, or wanting overnight accommodation before flying from Manchester Airport. Contrary to the Booking.com description, the apartment I used did have internet access and a range of TV streaming services.

These positives are in large part negated by poor maintenance and inadequate equipment. Previous tenants may have taken equipment when they left. It is hard otherwise to explain the absence of forks and a kettle. My other bad experiences relate to gaining access. The doors from the street and to the apartment are controlled by keypads. The code for the latter came to me very late on the day I took up the booking and was wrong, so a text message exchange was needed before I could get in. The code for the former ceased to work during my stay and this prompted my early departure. The reliance on telephone contact is wholly unsatisfactory. Far better to be able to collect the access codes from a staffed location, such as the cafe at the corner of the building. At the time of writing this review I am still waiting for a refund for the two days that were lost to me at the start of my booking.

It was near a pepes and the train station Shops near such as Tesco extra There was a dead bolt on the door

The place was not clean at all. Toothpaste in the sink still, hair everywhere, mold everywhere, grime in shower and sinks, broken sink, broken bed. We had came in, seen the dirt, went to the shop for cleaning supplies and cleaned everywhere which I have never done at a accommodation before. Even the bedsheets looked like they had been slept in and the floors were disgusting (we cleaned also, you're welcome) the tv also did not work. If this place was clean and not opposite a imagrint hotel it would be ALLOT nicer.

Very poor unfortunately.

There was no ironing board or iron, there were no drawers or wardrobes the furniture in the lounge was non existent except for a hard uncomfortable settee, the view from the window was awful and the smell of weed was strong people coming and going all times of the day and night.

Scammers - avoid!

Took the payment 24 hours before my stay, then messaged immediately afterwards to say there was a leak and asked me to cancel. I replied to say they had to cancel on their end as if I cancelled I wouldn't get a refund and they did not respond. Had to contact Booking.com customer services to get them to cancel and provide a full refund and had to find alternative accommodation last minute. Felt like they were trying to scam me - avoid this place!

Be warned! this place is a dump!

There was absolutely nothing acceptable about this property

We chose this property because it had a washing machine. However it didn't have anything else. Not a wardrobe, not even a coat hook so we couldn't use trhe washing machine anyway. There was no toilet paper at all The building is an old 1970s slum council flat with the smells and noises that are associated with this type of location. The building is almost attached to the old railways admin building which is abandoned and the source of vandals amusement so we endured the sounds of smashing glass windows falling from that building and shattering on the ground. I think that there would be more upmarket opium dens than this dump. How they can charge anything at all for this place is beyond comprehension. I suspect that a night in the local gaol would have been significantly nicer! Be warned! this place is a dump!

I needed to stay close to the train station and this apartment was perfect for that. Access was easy with clear directio

Excellent location, 2 minute walk from the train station. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed for a short stay, kettle, fridge and plenty of plates and cutlery.

Building the apartment was located in is something of a faded lady, corridors were slightly shabby. However, the apartment itself was clean and well equipped.

Great little properly in an ideal location, very clean, right on a high street with access to everything you need. Smart tv with everything on it you’d need, very comfortable and staff were very friendly and accommodating, contactable anytime with immediate replies to any questions which was very helpful.

Łazienka była brudna , w wyposażeniu kuchni była tylko patelnia , kuchenka mikrofalowa , musieliśmy kupić czajnik żeby zrobić herbatę ,sztuce były pod wszelką krytyką i nie były kompletne , powyrywane kontakty , kuchenka elektryczna robiła spięcie i wywalała korki , późnym wieczorem ktoś przyszedł wymienić baterie od czujnika dymu ponieważ nie dało się funkcjonować i pisaliśmy wiadomości do osoby wynajmującej nie było ani jednego krzesła Wiele podróżujemy ale czegoś takiego jeszcze nie mieliśmy zdjęcia nie odzwierciedlały tego co zastaliśmy
