Short break in Shropshire

Love the location, pub just down the road, and easy to get to nearby towns. Property was nice and quiet.

A minor gripe, cushions on the dining chairs would be good.

A place to recommend

Well equipped and furnished with everything needed for self catering and comfort. Location was ideal for us as we were close for visiting our relatives. The area has a number of interesting places for a quiet time away from crowds. The unit is in a quiet village and away from the road with good parking. We will certainly aim to book this accommodation in the future.

The UK was suffering an extremely cold time for our arrival so it was a struggle to get the unit warm for the first couple of days. We are not used to a log fire so had a bit of a problem getting it going but once that happened it made a huge difference to our comfort. We imagine that UK visitors would not have had that problem so anyone reading this review should probably ignore these comments!! In hindsight we should have sought a portable fan heater!!

A well hidden hideaway

The place was warm and welcoming, with ample.parking, comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen - one of the few places we've stayed at that supplied pint glasses and where the knives were actually sharp enough to cut something. The cookies and milk on arrival were a bit if a lifesaver- we were a bit frazzled and hungry by the time we got there. The outdoor area is also nice and secure- great for letting the dog out for a comfort break without having to worry about leads and shoes.

It took us almost an hour to find the place on arrival as the direction instructions given to us were not quite right, and we had trouble getting hold of anyone to help us. However, once we did get hold of someone, we found the place in no time at all. The origianal directions given to us with the confirmation sent us down a road out of the village, when the place was behind a black and white house along the main road. The kitchen is well appointed, but has not a lot of space and the fridge is quite small. If you are planning on cooking, keep it very simple. Not much prep space. Also could do with a small coffee table next to the sofa to put your cup of tea on whilst sitting.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the country.

The cottage was ideal for my mum who is disabled. Flat walk ways and shower ensuite helped her get about independently.

Only minor issues, such as doors that didn't shut properly and mum found the crockery very heavy. There was nothing that had any great impact on what was a nice holiday.

Wow!!!!

The grounds were just perfect for a family and a dog. Lovely area with nice walks and pubs for food. We can't wait to return soon.
