Very comfortable and cheap

This lovely room is in somebody's private home and we shared a bathroom with another room. The price and communication was excellent. The room had everything such as tissues, a tea tray, ear plugs, TV, WIFI, a comfortable bed and was spotless, as was the bathroom that has a bath and shower. This is a very quiet property in a cul-de-sac. Easy to park on the street. There's a CO-OP a five minute walk away if you come out of the road and cross the main road. There is a dog in the property but lives downstairs with the hosts and doesn't bother guests. You enter the main door and your room with a code. The bathroom is on the hallway. Ideal for a night or two. I would recommend it.

Not the best

Location was the nearest to our relatives. Acco.modation was clean and tidy.

Only four paper cups were provided for two people staying for 3 days. The hottap over the bath dripped continuously. I was not aware from the advertisement that we would be required to share a bathroom. The bed was too big for the room. We had to move it away from the wall to get out.

Disappointingly poor

The property is is just a family house on a residential cul de sac. Their are three rooms available to rent but parking only for one vehicle, other parking is on street. While I was there the property was still being finished/re-finished and the occupants of the room next to me were rather noisy. There were no staff on site, everything was done by telephone calls/digital locks and no catering was available. I would not stay there again.

Most of it, the only good thing that I can say is that the room was comfortable.

A disappointing experience

We initially had lots of messages from the hosts and was told if we needed anything to message or call but once we arrived the service was terrible. Initially the keyless lock on the door wouldn’t open and we tried to call the host but the call was never answered, fettlibg finally got the door open We noticed the lock was undone on our return to the room on the last night and then wouldn’t lock without lots of jiggling again The room had tea and coffee and we were told more was available if needed but requests for 2 days to have these topped up fell on death ears, no breakfast available at the site either The bathroom was terrible, the light switch was open with wires exposed, the side of the bath was also rotted out With regards to the bedroom the mattress didn’t fill the bedroom correctly, paint was falling off the ceiling, the WiFi kept dropping connection and it was actually faster using the 5G on the phone. There was an annoying dog constantly barking at various hours in the morning avd evening. You could also hear noise from other rooms with ease Overall the stay wasn’t up to standard, was seriously disappointing and we wouldn’t recommend

The bed was comfy and fresh linen. The air conditioner was a god send in the heat overnight.

Disappointed.

It was clean and comfortable.

The property is at the bottom of a cul-de-sac with numerous vehicles unable to park their vans,etc on their own drives and no parking at this property therefore we had to park down the street. We didn't like the shared bathroom . Property stated ' air conditioning' but there wasn't any There was a full sized fridge but it wasn't working. We had booked two nights but decided to only stay for the one.

Great location, liked being able to walk into Talgarth. Huge comfortable bed. Plenty of tea & coffee supplies. Only saw host when he brought the towels to the room and he seemed very pleasant.

It's expensive for a private room with a shared bathroom in a private house. The bathroom is old. For slightly more expensive you can get a room in a professional hotel and sometimes with breakfast The heating didn't work but I should have asked about it at some point.

The parking was not there as they had rubbish on the drive having building work done so had to park down the street and carry my bags and dog, back yard was a building site and dog couldn’t wee had to,keep taking her a walk ,ceiling paint peeling off, host kept turning shared bathroom light off and corridor light, annoying, no blinds on the front window so had to keep curtain closed to walk around as people in the cul de sac can see driving up, would never stay here again
