Great home from home in a great location

Actions speak louder than words: This was our second stay in Sunshine Corner, two additional days in comparison to last year, and we do hope to be able to return. The location of Sunshine Corner is absolutely great, it suits all our purposes: proximity to the beach, two playgrounds round the corner (especially relevant for our grandson), shops and restaurants within short walking distance so that you do not have to take the car. Due to the tranquility of the location and the comfort of the beds, we slept very well. As last year, the conservatory once again became the centerpiece of our stay, even when it was bucketing down outside. This shows you how cosy we felt in there. Thanks to Angie's and Neil's marvelous hospitality, we again felt very much at home and very well looked after. As last year, Angie was very helpful and immediately dealt with our special needs and requests. Our grandson loved his scary sweets, his premature Halloween treat. A big thank you to Angie and Neil from all of us!!!

The perfect holiday home

Sunshine Corner is the perfect holiday home. It's spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The conservatory is an added bonus. The hosts were lovely and always available when needed. The location was perfect- very close to the beach and harbour, and not far from places to eat delicious seafood. Would absolutely recommend.

Perfect cottage perfect location 👌 😍

This cottage is absolutely perfect. It has everything you would ever need for a lovely stay. The owners have thought of everything and it is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The location is perfect whether walking to the beach or a couple of little food shops. I am definitely booking again.

Just great

We stayed here for 3 nights as we were going to Colchester zoo, it was great! Close enough to the zoo and Colchester town itself but far enough away to be out of hustle and bustle. Clean and had everything we needed. 5 min walk to the shops & beach. We came with our 6 month old baby, the hosts provided a cot & a baby bath which was SO helpful! A bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival, bottle of wine & biscuits! Very much appreciated and doesn’t go un noticed so thankyou.

Peace and comfort by the seaside!

Sunshine Corner is in a perfect spot on Mersea: close to the lovely seafront, yet beautifully peaceful! It is great (especially when staying with children) having the conservatory and decking area outside as well as the comfortable living area inside. The hosts are very helpful and provide all the information you could need to allow a great trip. They kindly accommodated a fairly late change of dates when our plans changed - thank you! It is also very useful having a private driveway so you don't need to worry about finding somewhere to park! This was our third visit so clearly we love it!

Good stay at Sunshine Corner.

Location very good for Beach 5min walk, Supermarket, 5 min walk, easy to get to nice walks around the village. Property was lovely, modern and well equipped. Lots of little extras in cuboard for cooking. Beds were so comfy with nice bedding, bathroom just amazing with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided. We loved this property and little garden, it suited our needs perfectly. With an 11 month old baby, there was no worry about stairs or him breaking anything

Excellent!

Sunshine Corner was perfect in every way less than five minutes walk from the beach and the Decking area in the garden was superb to enjoy the lovely sunny weather we had. Sunshine Corner was very well equipped and a lovely bathroom topped it all off. Excellent stay Thank you.

In spite of 'dodgy' weather this was a very pleasant and comfy stopover.

Good location - well equipped kitchen & super shower room (including soap, shampoo etc. Two bedrooms suited our sleeping plans and were both comfortable.

Would have liked better seating options in the lounge - two settees were comfortable enough but were not conveniently positioned for chatting when more than two in the room.

A great holiday in lovely accommodation, run by very nice people.

Breakfast was not included, as property was self catering. However, the accommodation was very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated, to a very high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable - making it difficult to get up in the morning! We had our own patio and garden, which was most appreciated. We liked the large walk in shower, especially as there were grab rails to steady ourselves. Overall we had a great holiday in a lovely holiday home.

We found the seating, although very comfortable and of excellent quality, just a little low for us, and a bit hard to get up again, But that is a reflection of our age and stiffness, not of the lovely furniture!

Communication before I arrived with really good, including directions and local activities. When we arrived we found the place spotless and smelt very fresh, we also enjoyed the welcome back on arrival and so did the kids. Fantastic house!

I stayed at Sunshine Corner with my husband and two little boys this week and it was a fantastic experience! The house was beautiful, very clean with everything we needed. The garden was great, perfect for eating outside in the sunshine - it literally is Sunshine Corner! The hosts were very thoughtful leaving out a bottle of wine, milk and some sweets and biscuits for our boys on arrival. Location was perfect, great base for exploring the local area. I can't recommend it enough. We're already planning a return trip! Thank you for a lovely break! Meg, Sam, Patrick and Buddy.

We had a Warm, lovely ,relaxing and comfortable stay at sunshine Corner. Place is very clean n sophisticated with bit extras, (cake was yummy). Beach is just 2 min drive. Hosts are very helpful. Will definitely comeback again. :)
