About this cottage rental

Sunshine Corner is a 5 minute stroll to the beautiful beach with the village a 10 minute walk and the world famous Company Shed a 15 minute walk. The cottage is completely self contained with underfloor heating in the conservatory opening onto sun decking and enclosed lawned garden, situated in a quiet area with off road parking. Bike hire is available on request. Beach Hut hire is available locally for your stay. Private entrance with a key safe access.

Very enjoyable stay, well stocked cottage with comfortable bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, kitchen and conservatory, extra fans were provided when weather was too hot.

Property is situated in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. The cottage itself is well equipped with everything that you could possibly need, with a few added luxuries. Definitely a home away from home. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. It is not far from restaurants and amenities. We did not meet the hosts, but the messages from them were welcoming and friendly.

Fabulous property in a great location

We loved Sunshine Corner and would absolutely stay again. It's beautifully proportioned, and the conservatory is a blissful place to spend time even if the British weather isn't kind! The bedrooms are really comfortable, and the decoration throughout is so tasteful. Mersea is a lovely place to spend time, and you can easily walk to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants from Sunshine Corner. We hired a beach hut during our visit too, and that was brilliant fun. Thanks so much for having us, and we hope to come again. Thank you too for the lovely treats you left us on arrival. Great promotion for the local brewery in particular!!

It was a lovely place to get away to, my partner and I throughly enjoyed our stay. It was very cosy and had a comforting warm atmosphere. It was clean and had everything we needed. The area is also lovely, we went on some very nice walks. Would definitely come back and also recommend.

This property was well equipped, in a peaceful location and had easy access to the coast, restaurants and shops. The owner ensured that we had prior knowledge of items of food, drink and cleaning materials etc. that she had provided which was over and above our expectations for a self catering property.

A distinguishing feature of this property is its conservatory which is light and warm if winter sun has been shining, and there is decking outside for summer, in a small garden. Birds come to the feeder and are a pleasure to watch. The interior has been furnished very comfortably, with a thoughtfully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a heated towel rail which makes all the difference in winter. The bed is well-upholstered. The overall impression is of care and imaginative welcome. The situation on unique Mersea Island is ideal for visiting fabulous nature reserves, particularly nearby Fingringhoe Wick . The island is doubtless very crowded in summer, but I was there in March .

Sehr schönes, sauberes und ruhiges Haus. Das Meer in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, Lebensmittelgeschäfte ebenfalls. Mersea ist eine Reise wert. Die Vermieter haben wir nur per e-Mail kennengelernt. Bei unserer Ankunft lagen Tee, Kaffee, Milch, Kekse etc. als Gastgeschenk für uns bereit. Ich kann dieses Objekt guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
