For budget conscious travellers

Friendly front desk. Bikes to hire were a bonus. Free breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable and bonus in room refrigerator was appreciated.

Awesome

The Garden House – Key West I only stayed at The Garden House for one night, but I’ve rarely experienced such warmth and genuine care for guests. Sammy is simply wonderful – the kind of host you dream of. The house and the rooms are decorated with so much love and attention to detail, it immediately feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect, and the pool? Absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back next year. Thank you for such a beautiful and memorable stay!

One of my best vacation stay

I can't even begin to explain how amazing this place is. My partner and I have been to key West before, but we decided for the first time to stay a night. Try things out. This place blew my mind. We unfortunately got there earlier than the check in time, the host was amazing and mentioned we could leave the bags with him. Then once the room was ready we received a message from him. Deeply appreciated that. We had issues with a Scooter we had rented (from somewhere else) and they asked if we needed any help. We went to their beautiful warm pool. They had everything clean and fresh. I showered and they had soaps and face wipes to take off my makeup. Everything was amazingly close to everything we wanted. To our snorkeling activity. The main streets. Our scooter rental. Food. The beach. God everything was perfect The next morning. They made us breakfast. I had one of the best experiences. It's everything. I've ever wanted. Everything I thought of when we mentioned key west. If you can book here. A little pricey but worth it. Will come here again. 🌴💗

Far from what was expected from past stays.

Not much for the price

Booking.com failed to mention hidden RESORT fee. This is by no means a resort. A very small hot tub size pool. Room while not small was laid out poorly for a king bed, less than 12 inches between bed and wall. Only one chair so only place to sit was bed. In front of bed is plenty of useless space. While room was clean it showed the lack of spring cleaning for many years, dirt in corners of window so thick that will not wipe off with finger. Room in general showed armature repairs of drywall, I was a contractor and know bad workmanship. Could look past this as very old building. Room needs attention in drywall repair and some electrical outlets in useful locations. Was enough room for a small desk and chair. First place we ever did not see a DO NOT DISTURB sign. When you ask for one told they don't have but will tell maid to stay out. That could work but didn't. Not only does maid till enter room but she failed to lock it. Not cool when your valuables and car keys are in that room. Parking was a joke, Gladly pay $30 per day but on check in pay for all 6 nights. Problem solved NO , Arrive Monday then fun begins, told on Tuesday must leave parking lot by 11 AM Wed. while they work on it. Get it back Friday, and then must be gone by 9:30 AM Sunday. End up billed for 5 days and the Sat. night was advertised at $20 but charged $30. And they add tax ???. We had stayed at this place many times about 10 years ago and had nice rooms every time. As a total very dissatisfied. The real kicker comes after check-out when you get E mail telling you to book direct next time and waive resort fee of $20 per night. In short that is saying we paid $120 for booking with booking.com. And yes get's even better with a text asking you to tip if you got service. Being my wife was a maid at a 5 star resort 35 years ago we do tip and would have had the maid followed our DO NOT DISTURB request. Was looking for a return to a place we once loved. We will not return or recommend.

Very nice and clean rooms, facilities are very quaint and neat. Decks need a little work, paint or update. Location was great, short walk to Duval St and Mallory Square, restaraunts and bars. We will stay there again next time we go to Key West.

Solo Key West trip

The location was perfect. The owner was so friendly and nice and helpful. Breakfast was fun, everybody was friendly and having a good time. The bed was very comfortable the location is within two or three blocks of Duval, and the catamarans. There's a little pool in the middle surrounded by the building which is really nice at night.

A lovely relaxed stay in Key West ☺️

It was quiet, but also close to lots of activities and the port! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful at every encounter! We spoke to the manager a few times, it was really nice to see him in and about the property and just enjoying spending time with the guests. He was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely. All in all a really lovely stay! There were lots of extra towels in the pool area which was really helpful and I’m certain if we asked for anything it would have been readily provided as everyone was so lovely. The place had a very relaxed feel which I’m not sure would be to everyone’s taste - but it was perfect for us! The parking was also really easy and just next door to the property!
