The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, in an excellent location for exploring Old Town Key West. It is pricey-but everything is in Key West. We loved the Sangria Happy hour and the breakfast was nice too.
I wish it was a bit less expensive.

I feel like we stumbled across a hidden gem! The room was large, stunning and the AC amazing! Loved the history of the property. Loved the unexpected texts about mimosas, bloody marys or sangria and music by the pool! (not sure this is just a weekend thing) Breakfast every morning was poolside in a garden with fresh eggs on the stove being prepared in the lovely kitchen by the sweetest ladies. Location was awesome, close to Duval street, the square and the ferry landing but off on a side street that was quiet. (Island is totally walkable) Bliss the attendant at the desk was so personable and helpful from arranging bikes if needed or pre arranging a taxi to the airport.
Just to be aware that if you aren't on the ground floor there are many steep stairs and no elevator. This could be a challenge for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. Approximately 20 stairs for each level. This beautiful property is a little pricey but well worth in indulgence.

We loved the staff, the grounds, our room and our porch, the wonderful breakfast and especially the location!!
Of course it is a historic inn, so some things are a little bit older and the pool is small, but we found it was fabulous.

The location was perfect and the building itself was super nice and historical. The breakfast was very nice and tasty. The chef was very friendly. The bed was comfortable.
We always had to wait at the reception for someone to come by. They claim to have concierge services, although our messages were not responded to throughout our stay. The cleanliness could be better - there was quite some dust in the room and some mold in the bathroom.
10.0 / 10.0
The location was excellent to all of old Key West; the history of the place was evident; the staff attentive; the rooms historic yet updated with convenient features. The Sangria Happy Hour is a nice touch.
My only regret was we did not secure a room with a balcony. One note for travelers of age (lol)...the stairs are steep as was the style when the Ridley House was built, so if stairs are a challenge, get a first floor room.

Sophisticated and very charming place. Great service and impeccable breakfast.
We arrived for check in and made a last minute request to the owner and promptly he attended us, which made us even more satisfied. It was an unforgettable stay!
Nothing, everything was perfect

The location was perfect being one block off of Duval St close to the seaport and Mallory Square area. Breakfast was amazing, decor was charming and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The darn rooster cock a doodle doo-ing in the middle of the night. 😆

Proximity to historic downtown, Duval Street , Mallory square.
Good breakfast
There is a Parking lot 3min around the corner cost $40/day
One of the rooms we were assigned had obvious water damage showing on an entire wall , the floor also felt ‘spongy’, there were what seemed like holes under the vinyl flooring covering whatever was underneath and it smelled musty/moldy. I asked to change but could not until the 2nd day at that time I chose to stay as we were offered an ionizer which seemed to make things better however when we got home all our packed clothes smelled musty so there was most def an issue.
Important to note that there are 2 buildings. I would make sure to book a room in the main house which is the one that makes the corner of the street. The rooms there seemed more authentic and to be in the original house. There is a beautiful staircase and rooms on each floor.
The breakfast area gets very hot (July) towards the 9:30 am mark , a few extra fans in summer would be welcome.

The breakfast and staff were delightful apart from the in room makeup.
There were children there and it is labeled as adult only. We didn’t have our room cleaned for our entire 5 night stay because we are late sleepers after late nights out enjoying KW. We left the room everyday by 11:30 but they only made up the room once.

The location was convenient. The ascetic was pleasant the pool was adequate, the breakfast was nice but not presented properly. I really wanted an omelet the first day n no one in the kitchen bothered to legion you could have a made to order omelet ( I was told biscuits n gravy were the mornings breakfast)
No parking on the property was a big downer. No luggage carts or assistance with luggage also not fun!

Loved the location. Staff were really great. Excellent breakfast with varied choices.
Relaxed housekeeping meant we waited till late for our room to be serviced. But that wasn't a problem.

Internet wasn’t great

Location was amazing and the general facilities were great. Cute spot.
Three simple things that would have taken this from a 6 to a 9.
1) the WiFi didn’t work in our room, which made working difficult
2) we didn’t get housekeeping the entire team we were there, even when requested they failed to turn up at the time requested.
3) the pool is great but was the temperature of a bath, would be far more pleasant if it was cooler given how hot the air was.

The room could have been a bit bigger or have closet to store luggage.

Lack of in room storage Particularly hanging space

The breakfast was lovely. However, if you were there late, say 9:30, the main course was often gone.
Disclosure that there is a main house and a house 2 doors down.

Room 9 Is next to the kitchen and every morning they start preparing food after 5 am, every noise and chatter can be heard from our room.
The door seals are non existent and everyone else who comes in through the front door’s door bangs it to close it.
Terrible room way too noisy

Great location, friendly staff and host; fabulous made to order breakfasts by Chef Mike. We were with friends and had a great time. It was our first visit to Key West.

Location! Quiet rooms. Fellow guests. Delicious breakfast.
Broken bathroom door that we alerted the staff about when we got there but nobody ever came to fix it. Even volunteered to fix it ourselves if they would just provide a new strike plate.

We had a pleasant stay in a peaceful and charming setting. The hotel is perfectly located on a quiet street, allowing for rest while still being close to the main attractions.
The property stands out with its authentic style and beautiful greenery all around. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the pool area was particularly appreciated for relaxing during the day. The complimentary sangria offered in the afternoon was a lovely touch that added to the welcoming atmosphere.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a charming porch. The bed was of good quality and ensured a restful night’s sleep.
Despite these positive aspects, the ca. $500 per night rate did not seem justified given the overall experience.
The property showed several weaknesses: cleanliness was questionable, and some renovation work appeared to have been rushed, such as the exterior fence painting and interior finishes. Breakfast was advertised as a great experience with a chef, who actually seemed unmotivated, with only a variety of eggs and a daily’s special on offer, but no spontaneous creativity, which fell short of the expectations set by the hotel’s description.
Parking nearby costs between $30 and $40 per day, and a partnership between the hotel and the parking facility would have been appreciated to facilitate the process.
In the room, several issues were disappointing: high humidity, windows that couldn’t be opened, no ventilation in the bathroom, and an air conditioning unit that was too loud to use at night.

Very nice hotel right in the Center, everything in walking distance.
Nice and cosy hotel, typical Key West style, belonging to the heritage buildings, hence old, of course, but very nicely renovated and kept. Very good breakfast; nice little pool.

Breakfast and location
The weekend we were there it was noisier than expected., a large group was visiting. Dogs are allowed, laud barking by the pool.
Apartment on the second level with steep stairs

Great location walkable to Simonton Beach and lots of great restaurants. Just a short walk to Duval and all the action. Room was beautiful, breakfast delicious and the staff terrific!
Only complaint was that for a large B n B there were only 4 chaise lounge chairs around the pool! Invest in a few more! 😊

Our room was located by the pool and had a private patio. The pool was generally quiet, there were always available chairs. The entire property was well kept and very cozy. Breakfast was included and was a nice surprise. Would definitely consider staying here again.
The room smelled like mildew and was damp. The air conditioning unit was loud and found it hard to sleep with it running.

Great location! Room and property felt fresh and updated. The pool area, although small, was a nice little oasis. Only two blocks away from Duvall St., and Mallory Square.
We did not like the being detached from the property. Although only three doors down on Caroline St., it felt like the building we stayed in was somewhat of an afterthought. Even just a few small additions (like it's own ice machine and water dispenser) would have been a huge help.
The latches on the gates are quite frustrating. We witnessed many folks, including ourselves, having trouble with the gates as they 1) are not clear how to operate at first 2) require two hands to use - which is often not easy when carrying bags, luggage, ice, and/or water.

The amenities were great
The room we were put in was right next to a busy road and there was constant traffic and noise the entire stay. Wouldn’t stay there again because of that.

Location
The room air conditioning unit was not powerful enough to keep the room cool, making it very uncomfortable.

Room itself was very comfortable and continental breakfast was more than adequate
Better grade of toilet paper and a can of room freshener for the bathroom
