The host was very helpful and any concerns I had that the pub could be a noise problem vanished. It was very quiet. The customers were regulars and played boardgames or chatted and they didn't disturb our stay there at all.
There was no restaurant, but even that turned out to be no problem. The town was walking distance and the host kindly put some of our perishables in his kitchen fridge. All very amenable.

It was an authentic inn in Boston. The welcome was good and it was incredibly good value for us walkers. It provided a great base and a welcome supply of Batemans beer.
Nothing. The heritage of the pub was apparent but the age of fixtures and fittings was as expected.

Warmly welcomed. Parking free and easy to find. Scenic windmill opposite property.
Not very clean! Dust behind beds and in vents and around bath. Basic accommodation for one night. Noisy bar downstairs.
