Perfectly convenient

It was convenient for me in the emergency I had at the time and it was perfect, paddy was so nice and helpful and very nice to talk to, I had a room at the front of the pub facing the windmill it was beautiful and quite surprisingly quiet given the main road, breakfast was added as an extra and I’m very glad I did it was lovely and set me up for the day, will gladly stay again and recommend this place to all my friends and family

Terrific value in Boston

There is parking; it's opposite an historic windmill; it does a freshly cooked breakfast; and everyone is friendly and engaging. A short walking distance from the town. Also within 20 mins walk of the hospital, so ideal if you're visiting from afar

Good location, private car park, coffee machine in a room is great addition (Bosch Tassimo). Super fresh bed lining and white large bath towels.

Very soft and springy mattress is only reasonable downside.

Lovely pub in Boston

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome, not just by landlord Paddy but also the regulars at the bar. Lovely pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful, better than some we've had in more expensive hotels. Keep up the good work Paddy, you've got a lovely business. Thank you.

A Pleasant Stay

It was conveniently situated and ideal for our needs. The accommodation was just what we wanted and meet our requirements.We booked for breakfast which was spot on.The two rooms we had were spacious with all the basic needs covered. If the need arises I would definitely stay here again.

Clean but very noisy on a Saturday night !!

A friendly welcome from Paddy and great coffee in the room.

Saturday night in the pub downstairs attracted loud music till midnight. Not a great place to choose if you need your sleep after work and working the next day for 14 hours !!

Suited our one night stay well.

Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Paddy the host was helpful and friendly. Location was ok, short walk, maybe 10 mins, into town centre. Good to be able to park freely in secured space.

Bathroom was small, had a shower rather than a bath; in the space available, its ok. We didn't check the food available in the evening. Finding the location was not easy - any town with one-way systems bound to be a problem - a working sat-nav would be useful. Boston town was disappointing, but the church was wonderful.

A good pub with comfortable accommodation

This community pub (clearly used by locals) has a great location, looking out onto a working windmill, on the edge of town, but an easy walk (less than 10 minutes) to the town centre. There are local shops, and the town park is a little over 5 minutes away by foot. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, and the coffee machine was welcome. The accommodation is elegant and well maintained, and the rooms are surprisingly large - this looks like a small pub from the outside, but strangely feels much larger inside! We had a good breakfast. There is ample on-site parking. There was a general feeling of an establishment undergoing improvement, and moving in an upward direction, which was pleasing.

The bathroom was very small, but entirely adequate. Breakfast is a little too early for a family holiday - the breakfast times could do with a review.

Decent place to stay, good location & friendly staff.

I cycle tour a lot and all I want is 2 things, a clean room and a comfortable bed, often I am disppointed but here was fine. The couple running the pub are brilliant, helpful and friendly. It's great looking pub and in a good location, only a short walk to the centre and only 2 mins for a shop if you are in need of anything. Decent amount of coffee/tea etc in my room. The ensuite was fine and the shower powerful. I'd stay here again but not in the single room.

I can only review the single room and I've noted that others give double rooms good reviews, the bathroom was fine but the room itself had a mis-match of old furniture and was stuck in 1987 I think. Batemans need to accept it needs a refurbishment, quickly, and whilst they are at it they could deal with the falling down car park fence that gives a neglected appearance.

For the price it was spot on - room / bathroom a bit dated but fully functional. Breakfast was a traditional English and was delicious. Off road parking for my motorbike was a bonus, Staff especially the owner Paddy, were welcoming and friendly

Easy to find and park. Warm, friendly welcome from staff. Room decor was a bit dated but perfectly clean and comfortable, reasonably quiet. Good coffee and tea facilities.
