The Gables Whisky B&B

What a wonderful stay! Anne Jan & Siebette have put together a lovely B&B, and are very gracious hosts! The food and drinks were fantastic, the space was clean and quiet, and they were able to give many good local recommendations!

AJ and Siebette are, without a doubt, the most elegant and thoughtful B&B hosts I have ever encountered. Their hospitality is wonderfully warm, yet incredibly respectful of every guest’s personal space. The room itself was immaculate, arranged to near perfection, and equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable stay. I must emphasize this point: if you are a whisky enthusiast, the location of this B&B is absolute heaven. You are surrounded by legendary Speyside distilleries, with countless iconic names just a 15-minute drive away. If you are a whisky fanatic like myself, trying to secure a room here is an absolute must. Extra Tip: You absolutely must take the time to chat with AJ and ask him to introduce his staggering collection of over 600 whiskies in the guest lounge. There are some seriously rare gems in there, and AJ’s profound knowledge and insights on whisky operate on a level far beyond that of a standard enthusiast!

Liked the location and the breakfast

Not knowing the roads well getting to Dufftown we arrived early and were turned away at the door since our room was not ready instead of being welcomed and offered a cool drink in the common area. Disappointed us. At the check in time we were escorted to a very small room on the main floor. Nothing like what we expected. We were never shown the common room despite other guests being there enjoying a whisky tasting. We did not feel welcome at all. Very disappointing stay
