Proximity to the train station, comfortable room, nice size, welcoming staff. Breakfast was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed it and a plus, it was available in my room.

Good hotel with a good breakfast, nothing to write home about, but it was good for the price.

The room was clean but small, more tight than other locations that we stayed during our visit. The breakfast was good, they had you order in advance and determine your dining time so that it was quicker that way.

Didn't care for the room being so small but that wasn't a deal breaker.

Adequate place for a short stay.

The hotel was much as we expected. It is a no frills place, clean, welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff. Our first stay at the hotel but we knew it and had patronised it many times in the past. Location was ideal for us and there was plenty parking.

Although the room seemed fine for us at first, we were annoyingly awakened by the early risers whom we could hear through the walls. Sound proofing not brilliant. We could hear our neighbours talking and walking about. The floors in our room and adjacent rooms squeaked and creaked which meant a long lie in was spoiled for us.

An excellent find!

The staff in this hotel are exceptionally good. Friendly, efficient and always attentive. This is really a four star hotel in that respect, and the building is impressive too. Good breakfasts and dinners, nice garden room restaurant, comfortable bar, hotel very clean, good car parking. A perfect base for exploring Morayshire.

Nothing much to dislike. Busy road outside at the front but no noise in my room anyway. Would stay again without hesitation.

We were allocated a basement room which involved climbing stairs, walk along a corridor go down a flight of stairs which were badly lit, and room there. Nice clean room and comfortable just the journey to it. I had requested a walk in shower which was provided so maybe that was the reason we had that particular room.

Friendly staff, good breakfast arrangement. Pre order with time night before. The hottest freshest made breakfast delivered to your table on time, that I’ve ever experienced. Bravo. 5 stars.

On one night from 3.0 am noisy inmates in upstairs room, moving things around for 20 mins in the hour, till 5.0am. Also there appears to be a race track for cars from 2.0am till around 3.30 am, outside front of hotel. A new and increasingly common complaint in Elgin, I’m told.

Lovely staff, great food and handy location

Lovely food in the restaurant with generous portion sizes and a nice beer garden to have a drink in when the sun is out. The staff were very nice and attentive and the rooms are clean and well equipped. Good location for the town centre and main roads.

The bathroom in the budget single rooms is very compact. No iron within the rooms but this is available upon request.
