Our Scottish trip

Such a beautiful, warm, and inviting home. Peter, our host, was incredible from the moment we arrived. Our room had everything we needed and so comfortable. The ensuite! The breakfast was delicious and in a quaint breakfast room. Loved the three days we were there - didn't want to leave!

Wonderful stay at Kilmorie House Peter was an exceptional host. Our room was beautiful bed lovely and comfortable and facilities were great. The breakfast was amazing lots of choice both hot and cold. I can recommend the scrambled eggs !! Very close to the town centre, but in a lovely quiet road. We will definitely be back

Simply marvellous

Our stay at Kilmorie House was perfect! Peter and Ian are kind and thoughtful hosts, very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is freshly cooked. Rooms are big and comfortable. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Would highly recommend - 5 minutes from town centre of Elgin

Great value. Lovely room. Very clean. Great host and very good and healthy options at breakfast - alongside a good English breakfast ! Great location - good stopping off point for a number of local Castles and history - plus Trump Flying in! Parking good.

Exceptional hospitality in a beautifully restored historic home.

Delicious fresh breakfast cooked to order and served in the elegant dining room. We were offered a selection of fresh fruit and juice, yogurts, and cereals while waiting for the cooked breakfast to be served. Our hosts offer a fantastic start to the morning.

The only disappointment was not having more time to enjoy Kilmorie House, the town, and surrounding area.

We arrived to a friendly welcome from Peter who showed us to.our accommodation which was perfect for us and very comfortable Parking was right outside and breakfast was delicious. Easy walk to the High Street for shops and bars. . Would definately stay here again.

Fantastic Venue! 😄

We liked everything about Kilmorie house. Peter was a great communicator, always answered very promptly & helped me pick a venue for supper. He was a first class host, interesting & enthusiastic & I put him to the test with breakfast requests! The room was large & spacious, looking over the garden. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was good for doing my makeup for the wedding we were attending with a lighted mirror, & the shower was powerful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, everything fresh & delicious . Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast took place in a lovely dining room & there was also a comfortable sitting room. My daughters wished they had also booked this guest house instead of an Airbnb. I couldn't recommend this venue more highly.

Comfortable guesthouse with breakfast

A very comfortable guesthouse with lovely furnishings. Large room with king bed. Bathroom large, freshly renovated and modern fixtures. Very clean. Host very friendly and helpful. Full Scottish breakfast included. Parking out front. Would highly recommend staying here as one of the best for us so far in Scotland!

Stairs up to room but host offered to assist with carrying bags up to them. Stairs understandable given the age of the house.

We absolutely loved this place❣️Travelled with our grown up son so we had two beautiful rooms😃Fantastic breakfast! Perfect for visiting highland distillery’s . Recommend Strathisla and Cardhu , Speyburn 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤩Had nice meals in Elgin at peters recommended and visited Johnstons in Elgin . One of the best places ever stayed at. If you are visiting this area stay here for several nights!!! Walkers shortbread is also nearby.

Amazing host, beautiful house, best experience ever

We loved the friendly welcome from Peterson arrival, the spotlessly clean room, the wonderful leisurely breakfasts in a beautiful dining room and the totally peaceful environment. The property was ideally situated for visiting my mum in her nursing home nearby and also convenient for Elgin’s main park and high street. If there was such a thing as a 6 ⭐️ rating, Kilmorie House would get one from us. Thank you for a truly enjoyable stay.

This was a truly outstanding experience made all the more better by the host, Peter. A stunning Victorian house with spacious bedroom that maintained a vintage feel despite all modern amenities. Spotless throughout. Breakfast was very good, made with excellent produce and a great choice. I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay

We stayed for 2 nights in April, our room was lovely, extremely spacious and quiet. The breakfast was excellent and the owner very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and would stay again if we visit the area again.

Beautiful house decorated to match its age and style, however not lacking all modern amenities including modern bathroom, TV and hairdryer included. Communal areas include antique pieces of furniture and tastefully decorated. Host was fantastic, very friendly and nothing too much trouble.

Like staying in a Period Movie

The property was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The room was comfortable and the shower was amazing. We had a terrific night's sleep. The breakfast the following morning was delicious, filling and enjoyed in the company of other guests, who were almost as charming as Pete, the owner. Pete was a gregarious and personable host, who took time to listen to us and ensure that our stay went beyond our expectations. We will visit Kilmorie House again.

What a wonderful guest house with a very spacious room and a wonderful host.

Peter was a great host. He would do anything in his power to accommodate your every need. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated with a king-sized bed. Large bathroom with a great shower. All the linens were very high quality from the towels to the table napkins. Great breakfast made to order.
