Comfortable stay in El
Great location for exploring Elgin on foot. Friendly and helpful staff, especially at breakfast and helping me arrange transport for my early checkout. Lots of options for breakfast. Comfy bed and great shower! Beautiful public rooms, lounge, pool table, entrance hall. Historical with period features.
Plug sockets in the skirting boards so not good if you can't get down to the floor to plug things in. Okay for me, but may be a problem for some.

My wife and I booked a good few days stay at the Mansion House Hotel.
The location was ideal for us, the pictures of the outside of the building look great. I have visited many of these older buildings which have been made into Hotels and this was one of the nicer Hotels. For us we only really wanted bed and a breakfast and i now realise that is all they currently provide. I guess in the past they have had a fancy restaurant and a spa but these are not in operation when we visited - Jan 26. The breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked and hot. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was very well serviced and clean. It was a short walk to many different restaurants in Elgin centre and a short drive to see some of the sites around Elgin. Thanks to all the staff for making it an enjoyable weekend.
Beds were comfortable and the room was slightly small but it did not bother us as we were not there much.

Room very pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast excellent and catered for individual choices. Staff were amazing, very very helpful, friendly and attentive.Billy and the restaurant staff in particular.
