Great stay everything as described would stay again.

Wilma the owner was lovely very helpful as were all the staff. Large clean room, spotlessly clean & great breakfasts.

Well located, comfortable Guest House near to large Supermarkets and restaurants.

The room was comfortably warm on arrival. Plentiful hot water and a good shower with fresh towels daily. A very good selection of breakfast choices was available with very friendly service.

Access to premises was off a very busy main road and the entrance a little difficult to see well in advance. The room lacked spare electrical sockets with only 1 awkwardly located behind the TV making necessary charging of Mobile/Tablet very difficult.

Perfect location to stay when exploring the Whiskey Trail

Was a lovely, clean and comfortable stay a really cosy place to stay. Breakfast was fantastic and a big thank you to Wilma and staff for making our stay so lovely.

A warm reception and convesation, lovely room, perfect poached eggs for breakfast. It was wonderful.

It was a lovely place. I cannot think what could improve it, except perhaps a little Scottish sun (but after all, it was the end of october, and Wilma had no control over that! LOL!)

Hosta we're lovely, bed very comfortable, breakfast choices ( cooked to order) fabulous! Great location and great value for money.

Think room hadn't been used for a while! Found a stray sock on chair under cushion, bed lamps bit dusty ( asthma) but that's all.

Moraydale Guest house was excellent in all areas, Warm friendly greeting, nice spacious room, lovely shower and toilet , Excellent Break feast , only a short walk into Elgin. No complaints at all. will definitely come back for a stay again. Well done to Wilma, and the rest of the staff.

Superb homely guest house.

This is a lovely guest house full of character and charm. The owners are friendly and very welcoming, making me feel right at home. My double room was large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared. Plenty of off-street parking.

Perfect for three nights in and around Elgin.

The room was very comfortable, a good size with a good big bed. The owner was ill while we stayed (we hope she's feeling better now!) but the staff did a brilliant job of looking after the place and the guests.

Great guest house, friendly staff and top quality breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay.

Found the location easy and the parking facilities were just right. We were greeted by the proprietor who was friendly and informative. Very welcoming to our little dog. We stayed in a family room which had plenty of room and a great en-suite shower room. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Full Scottish first morning, haddock and poached eggs the next. Perfectly cooked, and so well looked after by the staff. Other food choices such as cereal, yoghurt and fruit were available and all of good quality. Good nights sleep. Highly recommend the Moraydale Guest House and hope to be back soon.

Comfortable stay in a large room

Warm welcome. Large room with good view. Good breakfast served promptly and efficiently. Space to park car on the premises. Very short walk to central Elgin.

The water flow from the shower head was a bit slow but this was a very minor problem and I had no other complaints.

Recommended B&B if you are looking for accommodation in Elgin

Very good sized room- we were in room 4. Room faces onto a busy road, so we kept the windows closed at night (something to consider if you are staying during the summer months). Our host was very welcoming and very helpful. The bathroom was clean. One area of improvement may be for a shelf where you place your toiletries, however there was a ledge above the toilet which sufficed. Shower a little small, but perfectly fine. Also, nowhere to place your shower gel etc within the shower cubicle. Breakfast was good, served quickly and a good choice. Good base if you are travelling further north to Lossiemouth. We were attending the Speyfest in Fochabers which is only a 15 min drive away. Large Tesco Express supermarket is only 5 min drive away by car. Forres and Buckie only about 30 mins drive away and highly recommended. WDC Dophin Centre not far and also worth a look.

As above, a little toiletry shelf in the bathroom and shower cubicle would have been perfect, but not a big deal. The house is on a busy main road, so our room (4) would have been noisy had we not keep the windows closed.

Great place, 5 minute walk to the main street in town. Host was super nice and breakfast big and delicious in the morning. Bed was comfy and room very quiet. Plenty of parking in the lot. Highly recommend!

What a find absolutely perfect in all aspects. Everyone was very pleasant and nothing too much trouble. A lovely stay. Breakfast was hot and delicious with plenty of variety.

Poached eggs and smoked haddock

The owner of the property is a very pleasant person. We stayed in a very comfortable room, plenty of light, windows excellent (no noise, despite being on the main street), decent bed, a bathroom where everything works, nice sized tv, and quite tasteful. Useful desk, plenty of storage space, and a kettle. Location of the property is excellent. Really near to the centre of town, and also usefully, a supermarket (M&S). It's on the main road, so easy to get to. The guesthouse itself is an impressive building, and from our window we could see the Duke of Gordon monument atop Lady Hill. Breakfast is very decent. We had poached eggs and smoked haddock 2 times - though there is another cooked breakfast. Overall, as good as can be.

Personally, I'm never a fan of the 4PM check in. 3PM, in my view, feels fairer. But, of course, I understand it might not fit with the schedule/staff etc. Not a big issue anyway.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was good for walking into town. The bedroom was large and the bed comfortable.

The shower cubicle was very small with a slippery floor and nowhere to put soap and shampoo.

Wonderful place to stay

The innkeeper was fantastic. When she heard we were going to get the bus to Burghead, she offered to drive us. The location was not far from the bus station which was perfect for us since we were without transportation. We took the bus daily to get to hikes in the area.
