Cozy Snowdonia Chalet

Location and the site were lovely.

It was damp and the sink and shower had drainage issues.

Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Bigger than we expected from the photos. Great location to explore Sonwdonia and hosts were very helpful with recommendations.

Wi-Fi didn’t work.

The chalet was a good size, and was generally clean and cosy looking. Beds were made and presented nicely. The chalet as a whole was aesthetically pleasing. Sofa and chairs were comfy and the coffee table was beautiful. I loved that there was a novel left on the table named "The secret escape", that was a great touch, along with the park map. Parking was available directly outside the chalet which was very convenient. The pool on site was a good size and we enjoyed the small games room beside the bar. The bar offered evening entertainment which other guests told us was very good, however we were too tired after exploring all day to attend evening events. The shop on site was handy although a little over priced. But the site overall was clean, staff were friendly and the location was perfectly positioned for lot's of exploring waterfalls around Snowdonia.

TV remote didn't work despite us buying and inserting new batteries. Fireplace & remote for it didn't work at all, when I took the battery out to see if I could get a new one it looked like it had been chewed up? Side tables weren't properly clean and one had mould on it (I cleaned them myself). The shower heads were covered in brown coloured limescale/sediment. The cutlery didn't appear clean and the spaghetti utensil was really dirty. All metal handles in the kitchen and the the towel rack in the bathroom had rust spots all over them. The shower drainage was blocked causing an instant pool of water in the shower tray so we had to turn the shower off and wait for the water to drain before opening the shower doors incase it flooded the bathroom. Same thing with the sink. Filled up immediately as if there was a plug in it and took very long to drain. Would have liked some written instructions on how to use the electric meter, heating etc, plus information on bar, pool & shop opening times (although, this was emailed prior to our arrival, a paper copy in the chalet would have been helpful). Overall, the accommodation was not worth the £500+ we paid for our 3 nights in the condition it's in right now.
