Awful we left .

The cabin was 30 steps up !!!. Not on Web site. Patio was slippy an full of leaves. The cabin needs lots of repairs . We have stayed on the site before but won't go again .

We got there and were faced with at least 30 steps to get to the property, which was not advertised. luckery, we did not have any mobility problems. The property itself was damp smelly and dirty. The smell of dog and cat urine was disgusting. The filth in every room was atrocious. Clumps of hair in the bedroom, all the windowsills where dirty and mouldy, the blinds thick with dirt and the tops of the tiles in the kitchen where black with dirt. Not only that but you have to pay for your electricity too which again not told about until booked and paid for accommodation. it was cold, and the emertion took ages to heat the water, not that i would bathe or shower as it was so dirty. The towels left were horrid thin and didn't look clean either. The tv didn't work due to poor signal. Maybe a booster would help. We asked for a later checkout but was told no as more people arriving that day. Even though you can't check in until 3pm there is no way that the clearners spend more than 15 mins in that place. Absolutely disgusting. Also, the beds were so very uncomfortable clearly need some new mattresses.

Beside the location, there is noting nice about this kind of accommodation.

The property was very dirty, the smell of mould, hair dogs everywhere, broken bed, I am sure not even the bedding has been changed between customers . From the check out until the next check in they got 5h to make that place spotless, I could not sleep because of the smell, if you have respiratory problems or furr allergies, do not book this, I think they should have asked if we would like to stay in a place that people with dogs have stayed , just complete filth!!! I would have posted pictures more pictures but booking allows just a few.

There was mold on the ceiling roses stains on the lamp shades damaged to lamp shade the place was very tired needing a paint new bathroom ideally and the furniture was uncomfortable mattress was knackered and ridiculous soft , not very clean hairs in sink upon arrival, and three flights of stairs to get in nothing about that in description ! Good job non of us was disabled !!!

Convenient location

I take no joy in writing this poor review but hopefully the owners will respond in making a few changes to rectify the issues. On our arrival on a damp afternoon, we should have taken the warning that not all was good. All the windows were ajar and on entry to the chalet, we were welcomed by the strong smell of diffusers, this did not hide the smell of dampness which was immediately apparent. Further investigation found wallpaper peeling off the walls in a couple of areas due to the dampness. The chalet was not cleaned to the highest standard, the mattresses were lumpy and the beds were definitely not a double. We had to find alternative accommodation for my daughter due to her medical issues as the dampness did not help,this became a very expensive one night stay!

DO NOT book with Mary and Richard - Health Hazard location.

Do Not rent from this couple, they are criminal's. After a 6 hour journey we arrived to what can only be described as a health hazard. I don't say this lightly, I was in the Army for over 20 years and have lived in some disgusting locations, however when it comes to family and children you cannot compromise. Damp, Mould, insects and fire damage to furniture. I have an autistic child and he instantly felt uncomfortable in there. We contacted the owner and she was completely unsympathetic. I had to arrange alternative accommodation at my expense at 2100hrs at night with 3 children and a dog, the youngest child 2 years old, they owners did not care. We gave them 24hrs to rectify the issues and a slight amount of superficial cleaning had been done but the health and safety issues remained and my family all felt uncomfortable with the damp and insects still remaining, I felt extremely let down. I asked for a refund and I was given a flat No! Even though the owners had failed to make the location safe and had essentially not conformed to Consumer Rights Law or Health And Safety Law. Things then got ridiculous, I made a dispute on booking.com and my hire and booking was still live, because I said to the owner I would not put my family in there she had the audacity to essentially hire it out again and not tell me! Yes that's right she double booked her chalet knowing it was on hire and under a dispute to take 2 amounts of cash! They claimed it was to rehire and pay me back a partial refund, they never informed me they had rehired it or that was going to be their intention, they kept it quiet and hired it on another platform, they even tried to lie to booking.com and claim they had to move another customer from another rental. This was a lie as I confirmed this when I visited and spoke with the tenants they had moved in on my booking. They then claimed my issue was with the 3rd party I.e booking.com and stopped talking to me!

Could have been perfect

We loved the location of the park and the cabin within the park. The cabin was just the right size for us, clean, comfortable beds, lovely living space and balcony with a great view and pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen.

There was a pervasive smell of mould in the cabin, particularly strong at night although windows were open because it required the balcony doors to be open for better circulation of air. While topping up electricity was quaint, unfortunately our fuse tripped because at one point we used too much energy cooking, cleaning and washing. There was no electrician available at night, although staff reiterated that this issue is recurrent throughout the camp because the cabin electric systems are not designed for high use of energy. And I was required to pay for the problem to be fixed by the electrician the next day. This seems unreasonable. When the electrician came in the morning, he was geared up for an argument and I had to remain silent as he was oppressive in his manner towards me. These two issues, the mould and paying for a recurrent fault in the electric system are what dampened our stay or we would have given a 5 star rating.

The facilities are great on the site and the staff are very friendly and helpful

Our cabin wasn't as expected and not CLEAN, some things were dirty and ruined by other people, the bedroom was very dirty, no clean sheet on the bed and the mattress protector was dirty and stained. There was no barbecue as advertised, seat cushions were soaking wet and been left outside, there was no brush or hoover or mop to clean the property, I am very disappointed with my stay

Lovely experience for the children

Lovely area. Very pretty to look at. Beautiful wildlife. Lovely home decor.

Property wasn’t very clean. Found a orange under my bed. The kids duvets had mould/damp on. There was food and dirty cutlery in the oven. Also a very foul smell in the property which I couldn’t find the source of. My sisters cabin next door had wood worms and beetles in the living room walls. Also our electric went at 9pm, walked 3 miles to try and top up could not get electricity until morning.

Beautiful cabin family getaway

Loved that the property was so close to all the amenities! Really is a perfect spot! Loved the view and the huge balcony it really was beautiful. Decorated lovely and very cosy. Kids loved the bunk bed, bonus that the bottom bunk was big! Lovely kitchen with everything you would need.

Everything was brilliant but little niggle would be WiFi wouldn’t connect at all even after trying all instructions. Tv signal not the best (expected though with location to be fair) was only staying one night though so didn’t really bother us much x

I like to stay because we went for walks and there are nice walks around but the place is disappointing

I liked the big decking in front and that’s about it

It wasn’t clean. The rooms had mould. The beds were dirty. I had to wipe down the bedframe because it was full of dust and mould. The bathroom was disappointing very dirty no kitchen towels no hand towel for the kitchen. I have to go buy some myself. it was mould in the cupboard. They had air fresheners in cupboard which is smelling like a toilet every time when you open the cupboard we have to pay for the heat which is I’ve never seen that before but that is not the main problem the main problem was the cleanliness needs a lot of improvement.

The outside balcony was an excellent space and great for breakfast in the morning or family dinner. A suggestion would be to put up a retractable canopy for those odd rainy days! Lovely park. Really friendly staff. The location was excellent.

Our experience with the owner of the property left us feeling, initially, as if we'd been scammed. She ignored us for 48 hours....it was a last minute booking...hence feeling of something untoward. The property we stayed in was supposed to be an upgrade, by way of an apology. The beds were awful....springs poking through the mattresses. We were told there was a bath for our little grandson. And being disabled myself, I can't stand long enough to shower...so bath was important. The kitchen was greasy and ill-equipped And I only bought ready meals with me to heat up! Wouldn't have put a dogs dinner on the baking tray....though I did try to scrub it with boiling water and bleach. So we ordered a takeaway from your lovely cafe instead! We would definitely visit the site again, but not via this owner.

Great location, but stay at another proprerty

Location was great, really close to Snowdon which was why we were there. Walked into Caernarfon in the evening for food and drink which was really handy

Place was really dated, was told had wifi but no details on how to connect, outdoor space had no chairs to sit on so what was the point. Wasnt happy that we'd been moved into this as they had double booked as I 'hadnt confirmed' not sure what I needed to do as I'd paid for the property and been communicating with the owners to change the date. Wouldnt book this property again.

Location Clean kitchen and pots n pans etc we did like the kitchen. No teatowel though.

Bedroom one ... Small bed.. too small for 2 adults bed was so uncomfortable neither of us managed more than maybe an hours sleep a night. I found a dirty pair of knickers on the floor beside my side of the bed !!!! Bed covers were out of the ark and smelt musty. Glad i took my own pillows. Bedroom 2 hardly any room for my 23yr son and his dog. Bathroom was dirty There were lawn shrimps in the carpet!!! We had to look up what they were when we found a few because we had never seen any before. The whole building smelt musty/moldy when we went in so we had to open the doors just to get fresh air in. Walls were so thin it was unreal !! We had to put a blanket up at the window because it was so light in the bedroom. The fire on the wall made a hell of a noise when turned on.

Terrible first impression, ok once we got on and accepted and lived with the poor standard.

Cold, damp and un-inviting upon arrival. Poor heating and hot water situation, no toiletries, poor state of cleanliness throughout, poor access via dark concrete steps, a long distance from parking. No dustbin, mop, vac, tea towels or rubbish bags. Power pre-pay situation not clear and expensive, as much as £10 per day and no way to claim back unused credit. We have to mention the damp issue again, the living room carpet and sofa throws. bathroom and kitchen floor all seemed wet to the touch. Finally, no dining table for meals even though there was space for one. Poor value for a fairly expensive daily charge. especially with the added overhead of pre-pay power.

Lovely cosy cabin just outside Caernarfon and within a short driving distance from Snowdon. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. The host was ever so helpful and kind.

This is just a preference - I don’t find spring mattresses to be very comfortable but other people may do.
