A must stay place & area - Will definitely be back ☺️

Beautiful stay in a beautiful place. The hosts Sarah & Jeremy were fabulous and made us feel very welcome and helped make our stay very special. The barn has great views off the surrounding countryside and makes a perfect home from home. Ettrickbridge is a charming little village full of wonderful people, a great pub and stunning countryside walks & wildlife. We found it a great base to explore all the surrounding area. Scottish Boarders is really not a place to miss.

The accommodation was to such a high standard. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. A lovely welcome pack of goodies was also provided. Beautiful views too. Fantastic hosts.

Cosy cottage, welcoming hosts, wonderful area

The location is excellent, the cottage was clean, warm and very comfortable and out hosts were friendly. The village is wonderfully quiet and there is a lovely pub nearby for excellent meals. The area has a great deal to offer, walking, shopping, ancient monuments.

The weather! It was rainy at first then very windy, not much could be done about it so we just carried on regardless. If we could have stayed longer we would have.

Tranquil convenient and well appointed, a comfortable gem in the Ettrickbridge Valley.

The location, the very friendly welcome and the lovely treats left for our enjoyment. The views are very good. Lots of good walking directly from the property. Very dog friendly.

Dining table and chairs a little small for a six footer but this didn’t spoil our enjoyment at all. Looking forward to a return visit this year!!

Exceptional welcome, gorgeous property, homely and inviting with stunning, inspirational views

This was our first visit to Dormouse Cottage and from the moment we met our lovely hosts - Sarah and Jeremy - we felt incredibly welcome and right at home. Upon entering the cottage, we discovered Sarah had kindly baked us a delicious lemon drizzle cake, as well as providing homemade bread and fresh eggs from their hens - so kind and thoughtful - a real treat! The property itself was just perfect: cosy, comfy, uplifting - the perfect wee nest for a romantic break, with lots of great places to visit and good places to eat just a short distance away. An ideal base for exploring, the cottage had everything we were looking for and so much more, including spectacular views that varied each day with the weather, a joy to behold. I can't recommend Dormouse Cottage highly enough and thank Sarah and Jeremy for a truly brilliant and memorable stay. Currently planning our return visit! :)

Would have preferred an electic kettle, much faster for a cuppa. Uneven entry to property caused my car to scrape its underside every time. A little concrete or tarmac would make a big difference.
