The cottage was set in an idyllic location and was perfect for exploring nearby Scottish border towns. Lynda and George gave us a warm welcome on arrival and Lynda took the time to show us around the cottage and explain everything we needed to know. We very much enjoyed our 4 nights stay and would definitely return.
Nothing, everything was spot on.

The perfect cottage with beautiful views and surrounding wildlife. The house had everything we needed and was clean tidy with fresh flowers left in the kitchen and lounge for us. The beds were so comfy, the perfect nights sleep!
There was an enclosed wrap around garden, perfect for our dog. There were even bowls, a ball and some dog treats in the cupboard.
Lynda and Kerry were perfect hosts and told us everything we needed to know prior to and during our stay. Kerry even posted back a jacket my father left by accident, which was greatly appriciate. Each evening we seen deer and badgers on the hill behind the cottage along with various birds throughout our stay. Perfect location to drive into Dumfries and Galloway and to Northumberland. Lots of choice of supermarkets nearby.
Absolutely nothing we didn’t like.

Comfortable with the layout and size of rooms and plenty space outside.

To close to the main road, motor rally on at weekend, not the hosts fault

The cottage is situated in lovely surroundings, really peaceful and quiet with a lovely garden. Local amenities are close by and there's a fantastic park for kids to play in just 5 minutes down the road. The cottage is well presented and equipped with everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Earlier check in would be good in the winter, found driving in the dark and bad weather difficult to get there, but I wouldn’t not go again.

We really enjoyed staying at this cottage - it's bigger than it looks, is very clean, well maintained and had all the facilities needed (washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, microwave, TV with basic Sky etc.)
It's very quiet and peaceful, and the bed lovely and comfortable... Zzzzz
The garden is well maintained and is enclosed by a small fence - we didn't have to worry about our little doggy running around. There are also some walks just outside the back door - ideal for a quick stroll in the morning before adventuring further afield, or as a night pre-bed walk.
It's a great base for days out, although it's so comfy that you could just chill out in the cottage if you wanted.
It's great value fur money and we would recommend you try it. We will definitely stay again if in the area.
Nothing - it's great!

Lovely cottage with lovely little touches such as fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk and cookies. My daughter loved playing the board games. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Tv has standard Sky TV which was good and the cottage has really good WiFi.
We stayed here for a wedding at Branxholme Park and the location was great for that.

Excellent friendly hosts, were there if you needed them. The cottage was fantastic, very clean and everything that you needed for the stay. Location was brilliant, all the privacy you would need and the views were breath taking. town few mins away. we both had a great time staying here.
There was nothing that could have been improved on in our eyes. There was nothing that could have been improved on in our eyes. Sorry to repeat myself but they want 2 or more sentences on the negative side of the stay and we did not have any.

Lovely cottage in super location. Comfortably furnished and equipped with all you need. Host Lynda very welcoming and extremely helpful.
Nothing. It is worth mentioning that the property no longer (as a norm) provides towels. I mention this not as a criticism, but only for the information of future bookers so that the know to bring their own.
