Great location, comfy stay away from the crowds.

Loved the location. Quiet and comfortable. Stefano was very good about getting us in touch with Gabriele, who assisted us for the trip. Gabriele was amazing! Went out of his way to help us get to/from trains. Communication was spot on. Varenna is a beautiful and quiet spot for those looking to be less crowded.

The rain, but nothing they could do about that. The shower is a bit small and slippery, but did the job!

Great location, comfortable place, helpful and friendly host.

We were met at the bus by a very helpful and friendly Daniele who assisted us with our luggage and guided us the the apartment. The location is excellent...very close to the center of town (without being noisy) with cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There was even access to swimming in the sea 100 steps from our place. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. Excellent!

Perfect retreat for enjoying Varenna.

Perfect, quiet location just off the town square and The Romantic Walk. The apartment was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was lovely with a glimpse of the lake. This was perfect to enjoy beautiful Varenna. We would love to return to Varenna and would stay here again.

This apartment was clean and spacious in a perfect location to enjoy Lake Como. Gabriele sent clear instructions including photos to get to the apartment. We decided to walk which was 10 minutes and very easy or you could take a taxi right outside train station. Bonus is the coffee shop around the corner.

Very comfortable apartment in a wonderful location near the lake.

The apartment caretaker picked us up from the train station and drove us to the apartment. He also took us back to the train station on the morning of our departure. This was a wonderful surprise and made our stay extra special. The apartment is in a wonderful location, just a three minute walk to a little beach on the lake.

We chose to stay in an apartment as we wanted to cook and prepare our own meals. However there are few options to buy groceries in Varenna. If we had known this, we would have brought more groceries with us.

Beautiful quite spot with wonderful view and close to everything. Gabriele was wonderful!

Gabriele met us at the train station and drove us to apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. The apartment was in a great location for getting to beach, town, and port. Nice quiet spot. When leaving we needed to catch early train and Gabriele got off his other job early so he could take us back to the train station. Thanks Gabriele!

So sad to leave!

Gabriele met us at the parking garage down the street and opened the apartment for us. He checked in by text once or twice during our stay and was very helpful. The location of the apartment was great and so was the opportunity to wash our clothes after several days of hiking!

There was a little bit of noise from other nearby apartments (people on balconies at night), but closing the windows and turning on the AC took care of that just fine.

Outstanding stay!

Our host met us at the train station & drove us to the center of Varenna, then assisted us down the rustic city stairs to our unit. The unit was a complete one bedroom apartment with a balcony/bistro table & chairs, living room with sofa, dining area with table & chairs, fully furnished & equipped kitchen, full bathroom with a washing machine & a big bedroom with a comfy bed and large closets. Last, but not least, we could stand by the living room window & gaze out at Lake Como. Outstanding!! We found that we were a short walk down to the sunset watching/swimming area, had a brief walk to the ferry station for cruising to towns on the lake & had great experiences at the coffee bar at the top of the stairs & the restaurants in the town center. The entire experience was so positive that we could easily have stayed for a much longer time.

A spacious and well located apartment. The owner arranged to pick us up from and deliver us back to the train station which was a huge bonus. Located in the lane way opposite the information centre and nearby the square where the main church and many cafes are located. All amenities were available and even a small balcony to take in the fresh air.

Fabulous apartment in the perfect location

The location is perfect for access to village square in less than a minute, but just sufficiently away from it for peacefulness and quiet. Apartment is roomy, spotlessly clean and well stocked with all you need. There are 3 or 4 small village shops that between them will provide all the food and drink provisions to satisfy self-catering needs. The bed was comfortable for a good and quiet night's sleep. Last but not least was Gabriele who offered to pick us up from the local train station on arrival (and take us back again). He was very helpful on check in, and knowledgeable about the village and surrounds.

The host met us upon arrival and facilitated the parking of our car. He was very helpful, flexible and friendly. The apartment itself was very clean and very well equipped. It is also located centrally in Varenna. You can easily walk to all the places worth visiting. Just a minute walk from the apartment there is a nice spot to swim in the lake!

We very much appreciated Gabriele's pick up and drop off at the train station! He also provided us with all the information we needed about staying in the property as well as where to find groceries. We loved the location of this flat - it was quiet and private, but close enough to amenities and the water. Afternoon sun on the balcony accompanied with a glass of wine was heaven.

The well-equipped kitchen did not have wine glasses.

BEWARE Hidden Charges

Location.

The hidden cleaning charges of €30 PER PERSON which are totally excessive and are not advertised on booking.com before you book. The €150 cash deposit for damages of which they take the cleaning charges from so therefore there is false advertising. Also terrible sofa bed. It goes down in the middle and one of our guests had to put the mattress on the floor as the sofa is so bad to sit on and sleep on. This is an apartment for 2 people....do NOT have a 3rd person as their back will be sore from the "sofa bed".

La situation très centrale , tout près du lac et à 200 m de la villa monastero . Notre hôte est venu nous chercher à la sortie du bateau et était très arrangeant sur les horaires d entrée et de sortie . Appartement très grand et fonctionnel. Petite terrasse ensoleillée une partie de la journée .
