A beautiful historic building, like a small castle. The room was very tastefully furnished, and the huge bed was very comfortable. We were also delighted with the cool kitchenette. The owners were yery helpful, friendly and charming.

A beautiful oasis

Staying here was a dream! The villa is so cozy and makes you feel like you're not in the middle of the city. The bed was so comfortable, the shower amazing, and the service! Complimentary breakfast provided every morning (idk why so many people complain about the breakfast in other reviews...granola, yogurt, fruit, and madelines are very close to our daily breakfast at home, so we were so happy), and cleaning service every day. The private parking was also a huge plus. It was the perfect stay, and I'd happily stay here again.

Tbh we liked everything. There is a lot of construction in the area (which you can't hear in the villa at all) and it's not the fault of the owner, but it's good to note since it can be a bit annoying to navigate when you first get there.

Lovely guest rooms in an oasis in the city

Villa 216 is like an oasis in the city. Audrey and her husband were on hand on whatsapp and very helpful and responsive. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable.

The key to the house did not work when we returned after dinner, which caused a bit of panic as there are no staff on the property at that time and we were worried we might have to stay outside all night. However we called Audrey and her husband, who suggested knocking on the window of the other guest room and luckily that couple let us in (apparently they had also had problems with the lock). It was not ideal and i suggest the hotel replace the lock mechanism to avoid this in future. The breakfast was fine for me but my partner is allergic to dairy, which i had forgotten to mention in advance, so he had to make do with an apple. The other thing i’d note is that the bed only had a duvet, which was too hot for me in the peak of summer, and so would be great if the hotel could also provide a sheet and/or light blanket.

Beautiful place, a private oasis in the middle of the city

Stunning oasis is a rather gritty bit of Leon, the moment you drive through the beautiful gates you are in a different world. EVERYTHING was thought about from a wine fridge, to blankets for sitting in the garden to the most wonderful breakfast. Its a cracker of a place

There are roadworks directly outside (not noisy at all) but knowing before arrival would safe us from getting lost/stuck in rush hour traffic for an extra 40 mins.

the beautiful villa, decor,comfortable bed, cleanliness, the private garden and furniture with comfy cushions, the toiletries, the china and glassware, check in and out very straightforward, the kitchenette and the delightful owners.

Beautiful boutique hotel!

This is a small boutique hotel in a beautifully restored old building. The room is fabulous with a perfect combination of original features and modern decoration and convenience. The bathroom was great, with a large shower. Breakfast was delivered in a basket, and it was delicious. Although we did not meet the owner, they were very communicative and helpful. We had a fabulous dinner at the bistro across the road where the owners and locals were extremely friendly and welcoming! It was really enjoyable.

The hotel is located away from the old town and main tourist attractions. It just meant either an Uber or a taxi ride for us because the metro was striking when we were there. This was the only hassle we had. Otherwise, perfect!

Outstanding place in Lyon. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa 216, the property itself was gorgeous from the moment the gates opened and our room fulfilled our French dreams. The room was the highlight, beautiful interiors and the bed was so comfortable. Kitchenette was great to have and Netflix was an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Location was a little far from city centre and closest metro but still easy to access with public transport.

Bed was very comfortable! Room was clean. Villa is very well decorated. Rain shower was a great touch. We definitely recommend and would come again. Worth every penny!

We didn’t like the coffee in the room. It was a great coffee machine, but coffee beans were acidic in taste.

A lovely peaceful stay at Villa 216!

The Villa is a haven in the city with a beautiful koi pond and circular driveway. The Villa itself is beautifully maintained and Audrey, the owner, was available via email with instructions on how to gain entry and the workings of the room since she was not present on the night of our stay. The surrounding area is a bit industrial but you can easily walk to a convenient grocery store and bakery for supplies and snacks.

We had a slight issue with our breakfast and our neighbors in the villa who helped themselves to our breakfast. None of this had anything to do with the Villa and Audrey was very quick to make it right.

Peaceful visit at this hidden gem of a property.

1. STUNNING property and gardens. 2. Beautiful peaceful location in a busy city. Stepping through the gates was like entering a hidden world of tranquility. 3. Excellent facilities in the room - cooker, kettle, selection of teas, little kitchen. 4. Great shower!

The room layout was odd. I find it disconcerting when the bed isn't against a wall. Breakfast was in a bag and with hindsight it would have been better value to stop at a bakery nearby. I found it a little disconcerting to arrive at a property with no human in sight.

Superb

Lovely place with a great high-end amenities. I believe everything is mindfully selected - even the small thing like the soap scent, tea selection, towel material, bed, everything as a whole supplement each other in providing great experience. The house owner are also very polite and welcoming. My stay here was perfect, would definitely recommend this place if you like to be a little bit excluded from the crowded area, having a home-like experience in Lyon.

The gate and door closing system is a little bit confusing, especially because such system does not really exist in where I live. Would be great if the host could include the how-to deal with it in the welcoming message :)
