Great hotel with room for improvement on a few bits and bobs

The location was very convenient as it is right next to the train station. The room service was great -can’t rate it high enough. I arrived really ill at the hotel on the first day so the staff took great care of me/us. They had all the extras I asked for in the room: extra towels, extra duvet and a very quiet room. The coffee was amazing and the breakfast fresh and well cooked. It is a quiet hotel which I enjoyed a lot as I visited during the busy period of Christmas. There were always enough tables to take your breakfast and the staff was kind and welcoming at all times.

The room was small-maybe we should have gone for a bigger room rather than the standard one. We also needed extra duvets as it was quite cold inside the room. I didn’t enjoy the fact that the housekeeping was not cleaning the room completely - it needs some work on this aspect but overall cleaning was decent. Water bottles were sold on site only in glass which made it quite challenging for us to take multiple bottles with us. I understand they are trying to move away from plastic but keeping the bottle wide open without a lid was not something I am used to ( each bottle had a tin lid that needed a bottle opener so you could not close the bottle back again upon opening it)

Comfortable stay, convenient location

Excellent (typical) Ibis breakfast. Staff at reception were great. Though right beside the train station there was no noise at all. Being so close to the station also meant very easy access to the metro and bus system, plus stores in the station for food and wine (but carry your own corkscrew, the hotel doesn't have any).

My room had only curtains for the shower enclosure, which felt a bit odd. But in the event, they worked.

Breakfast was included which is excellent value. The hotel is almost connected to the Lyon Central train station which is extremely handy.

A fast day in Lyon

Nice quiet room, even close to the railway there was not any noise in our 7 the floor room. God breakfast. Easy to get to and to the town.

Good choice if arriving and leaving by train. But a 25 euro taxi ride from the bus station at Perrache

The location next to Gare Part-Dieu.

The breakfast choices were somewhat limited, but sufficient for most people. The staff was generally kind, but when we sought guidance from a young man at the front desk after being robbed on the metro, all he could say was that he himself had never been robbed in his life. He told us the police office was 10 minutes away, but it was the wrong facility and we had to walk another additional 15 minutes to file a police report.

Exceptional

Great location, I took the first train down from Paris airport and needed to sleep and I'm glad I didn't need to travel far to this hotel. The staff were very lovely and could communicate to me in English. They could also hold my luggage for me as my departing train doesn't leave until 6 hours after checkout which gave me room to explore the city!

Everything about the hotel and location was fantastic. We right in front of the SNCF train station. Staff were very polite and helpful. I did nor like the fact that the drain in the sink or shower did not work. We stayed in room 305. We did report the problem to staff before we left Hopefully it has been repaired.

Hotel is right by Part Dieu station and the airport train. A short walk from Westfield. Room was clean and bed fine. No problems during the stay

Next door room closing the door made the wall shake and was a big bang. Very slippery shower floor, aircon didn't really warm the room up too much, breakfast disappointing and not much left half an hour before closing time. Hotel claims to have a bar and restaurant but all I saw was a closed, dark area - guess you could have had a drink if you asked but the Mercure next door has a proper bar and restaurant. Or better, eat at Westfield like I did. Expensive for what you get - I expected better to be honest
