Quiet, remote and perfect location to get around Skye

The property was in an ideal and very quiet location. Very clean with everything needed for our stay. Although remote, there are Co-ops in Broadford and Portree that were well stocked and locally there is a good local store in Dunvegan.

Its being picky but we did think there terrace could have been a little larger but it wasn't a problem, just an observation

Wonderful and can’t wait to come back

Despite being ‘remote’ feeling in setting (waking up to the sun on the loch, empty hills and the sound of curlews), the cottage is perfect distance from most sites on Skye - we saw so much over our stay, and always had a wonderful home to come back to. We found ourselves wishing for inclement weather just so we could relax on the sofa with the fire going, watching the clouds roll by!!! Cannot wait to stay here again, the most magical location for a couple

Cosy, beautiful highland stay

Location was beautiful with views while also feeling private. The cottage itself was lovely and clean. A really cosy nook nestled in the highlands.

Difficult to source cafes/restaurants, however the host did help us with some recommendations. Also would have appreciated if the tea jars were stocked.

Beautifully situated, lovely inside and not too difficult to find. The view was spectacular and there was a inn handy for a drink and a meal out .

It would have been nice to have a map and description of locations of interest with directions and perhaps warnings about certain routes .

Comfy & Cosy!

This cottage is perfect. We enjoyed our stay so much we were lucky enough to book an extra night. The cottage is cosy and comfy with everything you could possibly need. The local village is only a short walk with two restaurant options. The highlight of our stay was sitting on the deck watching the young lambs in the field play. Will definitely be back!

Excellent location but be weary of steep gravel bank leading to car parking area.

Both location and view were excellent

No kindling or fire lighters for wood burning fire provided upon arrival also no instructions for hob or dishwasher also sliding door to outside terrace in sitting room would not close properly once opened we had to call property manager to fix it who was quick to respond and very apologetic .

The property is beautifully presented, very clean and well equipped! The wood burner was great on a cold autumn night! We really enjoyed watching the sunset over the loch and the sheep whilst enjoying a drink!

We found it difficult to get the hot water working initially but otherwise this property cannot be faulted!

The view from the cottage was absolutely stunning. The cottage was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and furnished and well equipped.

Location was amazing, cottage had a lovely view, was very cozy and well equipped. Lots of thoughtful touches, very peaceful and a lovely base from which to explore Skye. Highly recommended.

We arrived later than expected because of an issue with the hire car, so it was dark when we got to the cottage. We couldn't see the cottage in the dark, no lights were on, and there is no sign saying 'Curlew Cottage' Would recommend putting a sign up for others arriving in the dark to help them find the place! Also, someone had turned off the hot water, there is a switch in the cupboard with a 'do not touch' label on it, we needed to press that switch to get hot water. And there were no firelighters, but we were able to buy some from the store in Dunvegan.

Exceptional

Absolutely beautiful property, spotlessly clean and amazing views. Could just sit on the sofa and watch the sheep for hours . We stayed in every evening and cooked a simple meal with a nice bottle of wine and just totally relaxed. Drove around the island by day and chilled by evening . The cottage has all you need and is very tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend, it made our holiday all the more special

What a fabulous cottage. Very comfortable and homely. Lots of lovely little touches like milk in the fridge and coffee pods. Beautifully decorated. Lovely to come back to after walking all over Skye during the day. A pleasant walk to the 2 wonderful eateries in the village ( one is your holiday splurge). The comments about the sheep were amusing to read but completely understandable whilst you are there. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We couldn't get a mobile signal but didn't actually need one so didn't matter the WiFi was very good. Views were fabulous in the evening. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Keys easy to access and we used the keysafe whilst out during the day so didn't have to worry about losing them. Plenty of useful information with hints and tips for walks. Would highly recommend.

Location was perfect, close to the biggest town and amenities. But still rural, quiet and amazing views! Great facilities and lovely host’s.

Dat we een eigen huisje hadden met alles wat je nodig hebt met prachtig uitzicht over het water. Fijne tuin en klein terrasje buiten. Heel knus.

Dat het raam in de slaapkamer niet open kon. Dit was tijdelijk dus als het goed is, kan hij nu gewoon wel open. Was fijn geweest als we dit van tevoren hadden geweten.

Ostört läge. Välutrustat och rent. Alla små, underbara och genomtänkta detaljer i boendet. Stort fönster/dörr som gick öppna helt. Lugnet. Fåren utanför. Sköna sängar. Mysiga extra pläd. Enkelt in/utcheckning. Perfekt parkering precis bredvid. Te/kaffe, kryddor, tvättmedel.

Vi gillade allt men som förbättringsförslag - borde vara bra med en torkställning.
