Very quiet and cosy, great value.

The apartment is bigger than the photos make it look, Lots of room to spread out and relaxing with a nice warm fire in the evenings. The kitchen has a selection of pans and utensils to knock up and easy meal. Its very warm an cosy, the bath was also a nice relaxing highlight. The raised bed stays nice and warm all night and its very comfy. The hosts are well organised and give good tips on local places to eat and shop.

The only thing we could be picky about is, the wifi router is opposite the bed and lights flash all night. But we stood a bag in front of it to hide the lights. Otherwise we cant fault the place.

The only thing I could have used was a hair dryer. But, overall everything was great!

Location

It was very cold when we checked in. Owner did not want us to use the heat. They wanted us to make a fire in the fire stove in the room. We were uncomfortable with this. They did turn on the heat but were unhappy. We asked for tissues and a second roll of paper towels( very thin). They said to buy them in the store. Dishwasher liquid was diluted and dirty. Only two rolls of toilet paper. There was only a service for four of silverware and only two dishwasher packets. The dishwasher was in another room. Checkout was at 9:30am which was very early for us. We asked for a later checkout the night before and were told we did not request it at the right time. We left dirty dishes in the sink because the dishwasher was in another room, we did not have any dishwasher packets left, and we did not have enough time to load the dishwasher. When we got into our car to leave, the man, owner? came over to us and started yelling that we had asked for supplies, wanted to use the heat instead of lighting fires, and left dishes in the sink. This was very unpleasant. Photos, if possible of the wood stove, the dishwasher liquid, then dishwasher liquid and toilet paper from another rental.

Karen and Phil are wonderful hosts. The place was spotless and had quality appliances. Beautiful kitchen, very comfortable bed. A cozy little garden in front of the entrance and a very friendly and adorable dog.

Beautiful property in a lovely location, the hosts went above and beyond making us feel welcome. The perfect retreat, clean and tidy with a good selection of amenities and little touches like lighting the fire prior to our arrival made it feel very welcoming and cosy. We can’t wait to stay again!

Convenient, charming yet modern stay in the beautiful Isle of Skye with great hosts.

The location was perfect - very central in the island and easy to access. The hosts were beyond amazing: accessible yet non-intrusive, helpful, lovely people. The place was recently renovated so while it had charm it also had modern touches. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Owls Nest and would very happily rebook.

Lovely house to come back to after a day's sight seeing, with the added bonus of sun chairs outside.

The property was very clean, comfortable and modern. There is everything in the house that you need. The owners were very approachable and have put a lot of effort into the property, excellent stay and I highly recommend.

An excellent place to stay to explore Skye

The apartment was really well equipped with everything you might need to self cater but as we were less than 100m from Edinbane Inn which does amazing food, we didn’t have to cook an evening meal. I would recommend booking a meal in advance because it’s so popular. the log burner was lovely and everything needed for the burner was provided but we didn’t need the apartment was so cosy and warm. Bathroom was really spacious with lovely fluffy towels. The apartment looked on to a garden with fountain, swing seat and a BBQ.

it’s worth noting that the check out time is 9am which was earlier than other properties we have stayed in.

The Owls Nest is the perfect place to stay

A real home from home, finished to a very high spec. Phil & Karen were fabulous hosts, who made us feel very welcome, as did Ted their black lab. Great location for exploring the island, outside area private with a bbq and woods to explore. Inn 2 minutes away which has a good menu, food was superb.

Isle of Skye, ein Traum.

Die Wohnung ist bestens ausgestattet, es fehlte einfach an nichts. An jede erdenkliche Kleinigkeit wurde gedacht. Sekt im Kühlschrank, Waschmittel, Gewürze, Spülmaschinentabs, Bademäntel ect. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne, luxuriöse Unterkunft. Bei Anreise war der Kamin bereits angezündet, eine erstklassiger Vermieter. Hier kann man sich absolut wohl fühlen.

Es gibt nichts, was man vermissen könnte. Der Preis ist relativ hoch, doch man bekommt auch jede Menge dafür geboten.
