Functional, friendly, easy, all for excellent value and would definitely stay again!

No frills, no fuss, functional, clean, warm, friendly and easy. Great variety of buffet breakfast products, including hot bacon and eggs which we loved! We have big appetites so the buffet option made sure we could fill up well for some big days on the slopes. Individual showers and washing facilities all very clean, warm and modern. Big boot room with boot warmers and plenty of space to sit and change. Free parking onsite was available which is very good. The evening meal is also excellent value for a three course starter, main and dessert. Portions are also generous so we felt well satisfied after a hard day on the slopes, before falling into our bunk beds for a good sleep, to wake up ready to go again the next day. Rooms are functional and nice and warm. Plenty of shelves and space to unpack ski gear and clothes for a 5 day ski trip. The hotel is run by a lovely young family who are really friendly, speak excellent English and no question or request was ever too much trouble. Some of our group were on a delayed flight from London so our arrival was almost midnight and outside the normal check in window. This was no problem for the management who responded very quickly to our email to alert them, quickly alleviating our concerns and they arranged a self-check in process for us that was smooth and easy.

Not much to dislike here, does exactly what it says on the tin and more and would definitely stay again. We really hope it snows a bit more next time we visit to be able to take full advantage of the excellent location next to the Valbella Ski lift and Red Piste 68b without the need to use the car, but there is little control the owners have over this! :-)

Great value for one night stay

A very friendly personal. There is a large playing (football) area in front (great for the children). There are also some playing facilities inside. Rooms were clean.

As a hostel it can get quite noisy. The walls are very thin so you can easily hear your neighbors.

Wouldn’t recommend

When we arrived we could hear the noise from miles away. We soon realised that we had booked an extremely noisey hostel, although not specified on booking. We requested a late check in as we wouldn’t arrive until 8pm and they said it would be fine. When we arrived there was no one at reception to give us our key. It was lucky that we found someone in the kitchen who offered to call his boss to give us our key. When we finally got to check in, we went to our room and found an old dried up apple core in our room, which means it had not been cleaned for a long time. We had a lot of trouble trying to get the wifi to connect. We noticed that there were also no curtains on our window, but every other window had curtains. Our room was also right outside the hot tub (which you have to pay extra for) so everyone took their party outside our room. We had people try to open our door throughout the night. Just to note- It is also not close to public transport. It is a long 25 minutes walk up hill to get to and is not able to be reached by public transport.

Nice place to go for ski weekend with my kids. Food was basic but overall experience was great. We will return back.

Sibylle and Jozsef, who run the facility, are very friendly and kind people. We were almost the only guests for the Christmas eve and the evening after and they offered us a very nice dinner, essentially from their table.

Breakfasts were quite sad: muesli, bread and jam, nothing else. Dinners were nice but just the first two nights, otherwise not really. The place is not vegetarian/vegan friendly, but maybe it is just because there were not so many visitors. The girl who worked there was quite special, trying to teach what is vegan what is not...

The tent is just like an army tent. Not comfortable!

Hot Tube : a small pool with hot water for 30.-/hour. Big enough for 4-5 people. One of the people working there was adorable and friendly!

The check-in took 15 minutes even though I sent them all files some hours in advance. It was too cold that I couldn’t sleep enough. One of the beds was wet for real! There were three blankets missing and we had to wait about 30 minutes to get some blankets for our beds. The tables in the restaurant weren’t clean.

Easter weekend

Due to the uk lockdown, I haven’t been able to visit my 8yo son (who lives with his father in Zürich) for many months. Easter was therefore especially important for us to reunite in person. It can sometimes be hard 1 on 1 with a child in a small space. However, Sybil and Josef were fantastic, along with the team. And the animals! We had a fantastic time there together, almost feeling part of a family, and will return ASAP.

Perfect for ski vacation

Ski in ski out for real, dinner for a relatively fair price, some very delicious Hungarian dishes, boss seems to be hungarian. Lucky to have seen the born of a goat, the family keep goats and chicken. Oh, the hot bath right outside the entrance is fantastic, was lucky to enjoy a hot bath during the snow at night.

Nothing comes to my mind, if there must be one, i guess it's the size of the room, but it's probably the cheapest in the ski area, so it's totally worth the price. Oh, if you come here to ski, be sure to calculate your time to ski back and pay attention to the operating tine of the ski lifts, the nearest one closes at 16: 00, if you miss the ski lift and you are on the wrong mountain, you can only walk up here or take a taxi.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht 25.-26. Dez und das war perfekt. Hatte nicht viele Leute. Gut beheizt, genügend Platz und sogar Brünneli mit Spiegel. Ohne Auto schwierig zu erteichen.

Unglaublicher Service und tolle Ski-in/Ski-out Lage!

Wirklich eine schöne Unterkunft und Personal, dass einen herzlich empfängt und allzeit versucht, dass Beste dem Gast zu bieten. Auch um unser Leibliches Wohl wurde sich stets gekümmert und das „Besitzerpärchen“ war überaus freundlich. Die Lage direkt an der Skipiste ist ideal - obwohl diese zu unserem Aufenthaltszeitpunkt kurz vor Weijnachten leider wegen Schneemangel noch nicht geöffnet hatte. Das Hostel bietet ausserdem kostenlose Parkplätze, einen Panoramaraum, Tischtennisplatte und verschiedene kostengünstige Mahlzeiten an. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
