Highly recommend Ballifeary House. Perfect place to stay in Inverness.

Great hosts, lovely house, and very nice fresh breakfast. Fraser was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and sights. His advice helped us use our time in Inverness to prioritise what we wanted to do/see, and his suggestions were excellent. Milly and Marley (the golden retrievers) were a delightful icing on the cake. :)

The mattress in our room was a little firm for me, but that's a very personal thing and probably wouldn't be an issue for others.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay! Our stay at this guest house was absolutely wonderful! The host, Mr. Fraser, was exceptionally kind and took great care of us throughout our visit. The house and room were beautifully maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious — easily one of the best we’ve had during our travels. The location couldn’t have been more ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions. Free parking was an added bonus that made our stay even more convenient. Highly recommend this place — we would love to come back!

Great Host

Absolutely spotless accommodation. The breakfasts were delicious and well presented. The best part was the owner Fraser, who was so helpful giving us suggestions for places to go and restaurants, which were spot on each time. When we had to miss breakfast to go on an early day tour, he gave us a substantial packed lunch instead.

The bedroom was rather small and there was no guest lounge, just the dining room.

Lovely Victorian villa in the heart of Inverness near all the restaurants and bars. Great breakfast and the host, Fraser couldn’t have been more helpful providing local information and advice on where to stop off on the NC500.

This was an incredibly charming spot very close to the center of town & the river. Fraser was a fantastic host who went out of his way to make our short stay memorable. Also major points for the sweet puppies!

Fantastic Bed and breakfast! Fraser is a wonderful host. He helped us with dinner ideas and the breakfast is amazing. Very comfortable bed and beautiful house. 10 min walk into town and in a very quiet area. We would stay here again and again!

The location of this property is perfect as you can walk into town and enjoy dinner then a lovely walk home. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The host was attentive and interested in our plans and offered great insight into our travel plans.

This B&B is nothing short of exceptional! Excellent value for money, a very friendly, engaging and informative host, superb breakfast, and just a short walk into town along the river. Amazing! The entire house, a wonderful period property, superbly appointed, was spotless. If you ever go to Inverness, it would be hard to find better. Highly recommended.

A lovely stay in a well appointed house with a warm welcome from Fraser the host.

The breakfast included a mix between hot and cold food. Whilst a full traditional breakfast wasn’t available the hot breakfast food was of good quality and served quickly. The eggs were golden yolked which is a great bonus for me as I love good quality eggs.The buttermilk pancakes were light and fluffy. The breakfast tables, side boards in the hallway and in the dining room were fresh and a welcome addition. Fraser the host was very helpful and welcoming giving good advice on local places of interest.

Nice guest house in a good location with a lovely breakfast

The building itself is gorgeous and there's a beautiful garden in front. The room was nice, and the breakfast was great and taken very well care of. The host gave us lots of suggestions on where to go. Also the location is really good. It's quiet, but close enough to the centre to walk.

For me personally, I like to sleep in a darkened room, and the room has beige/yellow curtains, so there's light coming in when the sun rises. Even with a sleeping mask I noticed. But I know I'm being quite specific here. Also, be aware that for breakfast you need to choose a time slot between I think 7:20 and 8:40, so sleeping in isn't really an option if you want breakfast. I guess most people are travelers like us that want to leave early anyways, but if you're not, it's good to know.

Nice

Ballifeary Guest House gives me the feeling that it is very warm, and the decoration and furnishings of the house are quite attentive. The owner, Fraser, is very kind and friendly, and we had delicious breakfasts made by him on both days of our stay. The surroundings of the house are also very quiet. After we go out to visit various scenic spots in the daytime, we can get a good rest at night. grateful!

We loved the warm welcome from Fraser and all the local information he provided. The rooms were clean and provided us with everything we needed. the guesthouse was lovely. The breakfast was superb.

it was a very high quality place…well maintained with nice furniture and rooms. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of options and courses. our host was always friendly and available to help. He was extremely helpful in providing advice on walks in the area. it was one of the very few places we have stayed post Covid which cleans the room daily. We recommend it highly.
